Mine will be just 8, 10 and almost 12.

Last night Lizzy was saying my favorite number is 8-she'll be 8 in 4 weeks, Joe said my favorite number is 6 until I turn 7 and then it will be 7. I just couldn't say my favorite number is 46.

Yeah...my favorite number definitely isn't 43. I still have almost a month before that happens. I get much more sad thinking about Matthew and Laura being out on their own that soon than I do about turning 50. It seems like their childhoods just flew by. Even my "baby" is almost 8!

Last night Katie & Sophie went to the Father/Daughter dance at school. Katie looked so grown up, I wanted to cry. I felt like she was going to the prom or something..we curled her hair with hot rollers & she wore lip gloss! This was Sophie's first dance.

Wow! Nothing like "BANG! BANG! BANG! FIRE DEPARTMENT!!" to get one moving on a Sunday morning! I was just sure the building was on fire. I was out of bed and out the front door (in my pajamas) in a split second to see what was going on. My next door neighbor had paramedics beating on her door! While that is infinitely better than the building being on fire I am worried about her. I did see one paramedic so I asked him if she is OK and he said yes. On the other hand, they just took her out on a stretcher and she looked unconscious! YIKES! Good thoughts for Diana, please!

Elizabeth -- I hope Diana is okay. Did you ever hear more?

Speaking of trips to WDW........ I'm going next week!

That was a terrific one, Deb! I just realized that I have no idea when we are going back. If we do what I want to next year, we won't be able to go until at least 2010. Matthew will be in college then. I wish that I could rewind about 8 years sometimes...

When I talk to Brother about Disney I am a little sad that we didn't take DS until he was 8. Then again, I didn't go to MK until I was 12, and it was still magical! But now it seems like time is going faster and faster.
That first YouTube link made me cry. And I never cry about anything! I think it was the music.

Marci - The maintenance guy was over fixing Diana's door yesterday because the firemen kicked it in. He said he thinks she has an ear infection. I guess maybe she was able to call 911 but couldn't get to the door to let them in. It sounds like she will be fine.

When I talk to Brother about Disney I am a little sad that we didn't take DS until he was 8. Then again, I didn't go to MK until I was 12, and it was still magical! But now it seems like time is going faster and faster.

For me, time just keeps speeding up. I look and think of all the things that we didn't do or didn't get done. I know that isn't the right attitude, but sometimes it just hits me like that. We did the best we could, and I think that my kids know that they are very lucky in the things that they did get to do. I just wish we had more time to keep doing those things! Has anyone ever stayed on the Queen Mary in Long Beach? The mom of the young man who is playing in the concert in July has been looking at hotels for our first night in CA and she is seriously looking at the QM. I have toured the QM and eaten lunch on the ship, but my memory (and the AAA TourBook) has me being a little hesitant to stay there. Anyone know more than I do about this?

Yes, they are! Monday school was canceled because we were supposed to get 18" of snow. We only had about 6" where we were and 11" at the airport. Then it was 70-degrees this past weekend. Today is another glorious day, but then the weather is going to turn on us again. Laura has a track meet on Thursday, and it's supposed to be rainy with a high in the mid-40's.

We have traveled with both out kids since they were little. It is the one thing that I will continue to sped money on no matter what. The memories that I have from our vacations when I was young are still so vivid that I can't imagine not wanting to share that with my children too.
Now, sometimes my choices are not what they would choose, but I figure they have been places they wouldn't normally have gone that way.

We are having another beautiful day here too. We are to get rain tomorrow-Friday, but the lowest high we will have is 70. Other days will be in the 80s. FINALLY spring is here!

I think it is actually supposed to stay mid-70's this whole week, but we may get rain tomorrow. Which is crummy, because it rained all day LAST Tuesday. From snow suits to shorts in the same week It's no wonder that everyone keeps getting sick. It is beautiful today, but is supposed to get cold again tomorrow.
