Last night Katie & Sophie went to the Father/Daughter dance at school. Katie looked so grown up, I wanted to cry. I felt like she was going to the prom or something..we curled her hair with hot rollers & she wore lip gloss!:sad2: This was Sophie's first dance.:dance3:

Those pictures are all just precious!

Thanks Glynis.
I figured there weren't many that the deer won't eat.

In my experience, the only thing deer won't nibble on is daffodils. We have problems with them all year round. Luckily, our garden is in our fenced backyard, so they haven't been able to get to those plants. They absolutely love our squash plants in the front, not to mention my lilac trees. Grrr. If they weren't so darn beautiful, I'd get really angry!

Well. I have met some of the nicest people in the world right here on this thread. My vacations have been enhanced because of the designers in this thread. Terry and I truly had the time of our lives from the moment we got on the plane, with our golden ears , Pal Mickeys, GOH badges and matching shirts. The sisters & friends are golden shirt that Kate made for Terry to give us as a surprise still wells my eyes with happy tears. :cloud9:

Meeting 11 of you up close and personal was one of my best weekends. Even with my foot in a cast. I will never forget June until the day I die.:hippie:

Then the trip last year for Nicky's wedding. My sister's first trip ever at the tender age of 69. With our matching shirts some of the time and meeting some more of my "computer" friends. The Concourse Steakhouse might be one of the best meals my sister and I ever shared. Because we shared it with Vicki and Chuck. And that was sooo special. And then the cruise. :tink: :tink: Such fond memories.

And now I'm getting ready for this trip. And Kristine has created shirts for my son and his wife for their anniversary. And one for my DGD that she absolutely adores. And I'm going to work on my DGSs shirts. Really. I have the clip art. That is my project for today. Nothing fancy like the designers, just some Cars clipart and a few words in Word. :cloud9:

But this has become so much more than a design thread. I really feel such a closeness to all of you. I'm truly interested in your day to day lives. And that is why I have started my day with this long winded post just to tell you all how much you mean to me.

Thank you all for being my friends. Have a great day DDA.:flower1: :smickey:

Wow, you have a beautiful family. 2 gorgeous girls and a handsome hubby to boot :cloud9:

So my day off isn't. I will be heading in at 3:45 PM. I will however NOT be working tomorrow night. 6 in a row is enough.

Chris is working this morning so the garage cleaning is postponed. We have another sunny day out there so maybe just maybe I'll get out in it for a while. Of course it isn't too warm yet

I need to work on autograph pages again. I don't think I'll ever get them all created and I haven't even thought about printing them yet. Only 90 days to go I'd better get moving :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have a great day.

I want to apologize ahead of time--i may not be able to get these postcards printed for my trip--ill work on it one more time, but may just give up eventually!
Im on my way to watch a soccer game then come home to get some work done. Hopefully ill get it done early and then just relax for the rest of the day.

Hope you all have a great day!

Since we are all meeting at the LTT for supper, we probably could meet before about 4pm to do that.

Or right after we are done eating since Stephanie and I are not staying for the party.
Elin will be at Le Cellier at 4:00 so after dinner might work best.

Good Morning DDA,

I've got a half day at work today and then DGS is spending the night and we are planning on taking him to the zoo tomorrow.

Looking at land was quite the sobering experience yesterday. Thanks to Katrina land prices have quadrupled in areas that did not flood. It's looking more and more like this is going to be our home for years to come, it's not what we wanted but it's not the end of the world either. We'll keep our eyes open for a deal that fits.

Have fun packing Stephanie,

Have a great weekend everyone.
:grouphug: Sorry things didn't work out. :wizard:

How did you do, Terry?
Very nice!

ok, I am off here to head to Macy's. I need new clothes for the new weather we are starting to get. Except for the 100% cotton things that I deliberately shrunk before putting them away after our December trip my stuff from last summer is all too big. So I am headed out to the sales to see if I can supplement what I still have. Wish me luck!

Have great days, DDA! :goodvibes:

How beautiful!

Lizzy & Gene have been going to the Girl Scout father/daughter (sweetheart) dance for the past 2 years and I never thought about Emma joining them in a few years.

Congratulations!

You're going to have such a blast!

I've got a long to do list to get working on so I'm ready for my trip!

Anne Marie - The girls look beautiful! I called DS to the computer so he could see. I told him he will get to meet the girls in August. He said "Hmm." I also told him they have a brother. That made him happy!:rotfl: I think he is afraid of girls! But I am sure he and Katie will find something to chat about since all of the kids love Disney!:)

Stephanie - We are so fortunate to have met you and Kevin and the other DDAers in December! DH comments from time to time how he enjoyed meeting everyone. He likes feisty girls, so he thinks Kevin is the best!:) I am so lucky to have stumbled across this thread, and I am even more lucky that all of you have made me feel so welcome!:goodvibes What a wonderful group we have! I wish you a trip overflowing with magic and memories!!

I have noticed that DS has his own special set of guidelines when it comes to housekeeping. For example, if the bathroom trashcan is overflowing then it is OK to throw trash on the floor in the general direction of the trashcan. Oh, and even though I have told him NOT to throw his socks on the floor in the living room he can continue to do it because he picked them up last week. What kind of logic is that?! So anything that I did last week I don't have to do again? Great! And when he runs out of towels in his cabinet he can use the big pool towels, even though (again) I have specifically said NOT to do that! If he tells us he is out of bath towels we can bring him one from our bathroom! Then we can wash a load of his! Grrr!:headache: I have a load of laundry in the washer. We'll see how many loads I can get done today. The problem is that I am going to run out of detergent before I run out of laundry, so that means I will have to go get more. That will more than likely require wearing pants instead of the boxers I am wearing now. So many complications!:sad2: ;)

Well, crum! I just got a DING! for $25 Dallas to KC and KC to Dallas. DS and I could both fly round trip to visit my mom for $124 total. The thing is the dates are kind of odd so I can't book it without knowing for sure what is up with my job. I was trying to go Memorial weekend (ha ha - like the fares would be valid then) but we would have to fly out Saturday PM and come home Wednesday. I would just miss Tue & Wed at work but that would probably NOT be very convenient for my bosses. And my mother says she is coming HERE May 24 to wait hand and foot on my sister and the new baby. I guess I could tell her we are flying to KC on May 26 and we are sorry she won't be there!:rotfl2: My cousin and her family live in KC, and we would stay with them, so I COULD go even if my mother won't be there!
