Hi all....Just a quick pop in. I've read along and feel bad that I don't have the time right now to catch up individually. So I am sending lots of 's and :wizard: to everyone that needs some.

Molly had her check up and unfortunately has a raging ear infection. So she is to start on antibiotics and we have to go back next Friday for a recheck. Apparently she also has a large wax buildup in the ear as well, same as Jacob. It strikes me funny that when one of us or our kids has a problem that there is always one or more with the same thing at the same time. I am concerned about the ear infection only because she has tubes in her ears and shouldn't be getting them. Her dr. wasn't too happy either. I don't know what this means should it not clear up by next week. Other than that the appointment went well and Molly is right on track.

We did manage to get most of the things we needed for her birthday party, which is tomorrow. This is for all of our friends and their kids. I just now to need to bake and decorate her cake and make up the coloring books, the kid's favors. Oh and make her shirt. Of course, we also have gymnastics tonight. Thankfully my mom is taking Molly for the night and will bring her straight to the party tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I don't know when I'll get back on as Emma wants us to head to DC on Sunday for the day. She is dying to visit the Lincoln Memorial and since the weather is supposed to be nice all weekend I am sure we will go.

Again, 's and :wizard: to everyone.

Poor Molly she just can't catch a break. Hope she gets to feeling better fast!!

I am ordering some more transfer paper...does anyone want to go in with me??

The price is .90 per sheet...and whatever the cost is for me to send it to you.

Let me know....

Well, my day is off to a crappy start. Got into a big argument with xh2b. I can't stand him and I just wish he would be out of my life. He is a &%$(#@ idiot!!! Oh if I knew then what I know now I would NEVER have gotten involved with him. The only good thing is that I have 2 terrific children.

Now I just need to relax and get my blood pressure down!

:grouphug: I hope your day is looking up a bit by now!

So I finally found a similar dress to Cassidy's:

the bottom doesn't poof out as much and it is pink with black lace over but it's similar to this. What do you all think??

So all of you Hawaii loving people...I have some questions for you if you wouldn't mind helping me out. Thanks!!

Is there a good age to take kids to Hawaii? Would a trip with several 2-8yo kids be enjoyable? Would it be better when the were older?

If you could only do one island, which is the best option? Any specific locations to look first?

If you had to give up a couple of years of Disney trips to go, would you?

If one does not enjoy hanging out on the beach for very long or often, would that affect the enjoyment of a Hawaiin vacation?

I LOVE Hawaii and will definitely be going back, but not until our kids are older. When we were there pre kids I can't remember seeing much for kids to do other than the zoo and the beach. There was so many cool tours, snorkeling, and ocean type things, but I think the kids would be bored on the tours and they are too young to really fully enjoy most of the water activities. It is a must do in your lifetime, but I would wait until the kids are older. Maybe others know more than I do though

I think that dress is very appropriate for the prom. I do think that the poofy skirt adds to the dressier look. It is hard for me to envision it less poofy as crinoline is usually poofy.

That is a good age. There are a lot of places on Oahu to visit. The Polynesian Cultural Center. Pineapple farms. The state capitol, beautiful building. Diamond Head. Cannot remember where it is but there is like a sunken gardens, lots of birds and flowers. Way past Diamond Head is a Dolphin reserve. Just seeing the North Shore is awsome. There is also a place where it is very windy near Like Like highway (prounounced Li ki Li ki)
Probably a few more places that have sprung up since DH and I left in 1973.

Too many other places to see to worry about being on the beach.

I have always said that if I had a chance to go back, I would visit the big island and Kaui.

Thanks. He is feeling much better. His ear is still sore, but at least he's not screaming. We'll just keep the Motrin and the drops going.

I hope that he is continuing to feel better!!

It's less poofy because of less layers at the bottom.

I think I am going to try and find a silver pin for at the waist...glitz it up a bit like this dress.

Very definitely prom material! I hope you are going to show us some pictures of her in her dress when she goes to the prom.

Definately a prom dress (not that I ever went to one :rotfl: ).

I love it, and I think it looks very "Prom-y". Good Choice!!!

Squirrel Away!

To keep squirrels from eating your plants sprinkle your plants with
cayenne pepper. The cayenne pepper doesn't hurt the plant and the
squirrels won't come near it.

I wanted to share our squirrel story.... For some really strange reason the squirrels here ruin our garage door. They scratch at it until the paint is off, I assume to get at the wood underneath. Anyway DH has repainted the bottom of the garage door probably about 20 times, and he gets really frustrated. So he had heard this tip about cayenne pepper, so he mixed cayenne pepper in with the paint. Unfortunately, it didn't work. There is currently about a 1 ft. diameter hole in the paint in our garage door.

Has anyone else ever had/heard of a problem like this with squirrels? We don't know what else to do except maybe buy a new aluminum garage door. :confused3 I actually find it kind of funny, but I don't think DH is amused!

i talked to my friend Rachel who is pregnant. she is scheduled for a c section on Tuesday so Wednesday i will go up and see her and baby Sarah. :D

tomorrow our neighborhood is having a garage sale so we have pulled stuff for that. Sunday my dad might take me to his boss's ranch. their mare had a colt a few weeks ago and they also have some newborn calves that i wanna see. i cant wait. they have one horse that was a barrel racer in rodeos.

Very pretty dress, and I can't imagine why it wouldn't be great for a prom!

I'm home. Got here about 8pm last night. I spent the day unloading 1201 cases of cookies, sorting them into troop orders & helping the troops load them in their vehicles. After 6 hours, they are all with the troops! Yeah!!!!!

Okay, I'm just going to be obnoxious now....:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

:cool1:  :dance3: single digits :dance3: :hippie: :cheer2: party: :jumping1: :teleport: :rainbow: :drinking: :bounce: :jumping2: :jumping3: :Pinkbounc :smickey:

I can barely breathe. I am so stopped up. Darn pollen.:flower3:

That's okay. I'm going to Disney next week. I'm going to Disney next week. I'm going to Disney next week. I'm going to Disney next week. :yay:

You sound like you might be just a little excited that you are going to Disney next week? I'm just a wee bit jealous. However, I'm so happy for you.
