Stephanie - I SO hope that things work out so you can stop feeling worried and stressed!!![]()
Thank you for your advice, and for keeping me in your thoughts!Somehow this will work out. I wish the best for your friend! How wonderful for the "right" thing to happen and him to be able to recognize it! That is what I want. I want to recognize the right thing, because I don't want to regret the choice I make.
Glynis - Congrats on your shirts! I already admired you, but the shirt project really puts you over the top!![]()
Lindsay - I hope Jonathan feels better soon!I am sure I will love my new charges eventually. I loved Brother & Sister after about 3 months, and I have loved them more each day since then. The thought of leaving Brother gives me literal chest pains. I think that is why it is so important for me not to leave before September unless it is for the best job EVER.
Chanon - I must figure out how to post a picture of Aurora. She is furry, but she is also FAT. DH loves orange kitties. He would like to have one.
Elizabeth. Those children are a part of your life right now, but I'm sure that you will quickly attach to your new charge or charges just as easily and you will love them and watch them grow just as you have brother and sister. It is the nature of the job to grow attached and if you didn't you wouldn't be such a great nanny. We all take care of the ones we love just a bit better than ones we merely like whether we want to admit it or not.
Good morning, DDA. Today is so sad around here. We are all trying to get in touch with friends and people we know to make certain all their children are OK. It is a very hard contact to make. How do you ask someone if their child is alive? I am dreading the announcement from Tech with the list of names.
I will check in later with you all. Have wonderful mornings and hug those beautiful children of yours very hard. If they ask you why.... tell them I wanted you to.
Elin, I can't imagine what you, your friends and families are going through. Perhaps Theresa has some advice since she was close to the Columbine shooting and probably knew some that were involved (that's just a guess based on her location). The prayers of the country and of the world are with those in virginia
I've been trying to find a fall wedding cake with colored leaves - but I just don't seem to like them as much...here's one (sorry it's another cake Elizabeth, but you don't have to click if you don't want too!) but I like the white one still, then the chocolate one more than this - and I have no idea why! http://www.dianescakesandmore.com/fall_leaves_cakes.htm
I think that the white cake has a more classic elegance that one associates with a wedding. The ones with the colored leaves lose some of that "wedding" nature and the cakes could be associated with an upscale harvest celebration or the like. I know exactly what you mean, it is just hard to put into words.
