My hair is too thin for a claw clip or a pony tail. That's why I get it cut short usually and when it gets out of control and I can't stand it getting in my eyes, then I get it cut again. I don't like to wear hats (except camping and at Disney) so a baseball cap doesn't work for me. :lmao:

That's me, too, except that I wear it longer. I can't believe how thin my hair is, and I think it is getting worse as I get old. Poor Laura inherited my hair. It's really noticeable when we put all the girls' hair in buns for synchro.

I'm going to have to get up early in the morning. I just didn't feel like making the Cheese Torte today. It takes several hours to make (most of it is waiting time while it cools). Chuck is making the hard boiled eggs now so that I can make devilled eggs for tomorrow. Chuck's brother loves my devilled eggs and usually asks if I've brought them. The last two times I hadn't because my MIL didn't ask me too. I assumed she would have some. She didn't either time so I'm taking them. If they are extra, I'll just send them home with BIL.

Mmmm...deviled eggs! I haven't had them in ages. My mom sent about a dozen hard boiled eggs home with me, so maybe I'll make up a couple later.

I followed a link in someone's siggie earlier today and found what looks to be a great planning tool available soon. I contacted them about being in the Alpha Test group so we'll see what comes of it. If you want to check it out:

Does anyone do any rewards sites, like MyPoints, that they find worth their time? I am looking for little things that I can do to start saving for whenever my next Disney trip will be, but don't want to do something that is going to require a lot of time. I find that my MyPoints add up to a meal or two pretty quickly, but haven't looked at a lot of the other sites in several years. If you have a recommendation, can you PM me a refferal link? Thanks!!

Well things aren't any better here.....grandma has decided that she will be "sick" at supper because she really does think Abi is doing this on purpose.
Jim told me a little of what he said to her and what she said back...she just flabbergasts me.

One apt. we went to look at today was rented when we got there...but the other one might actually work better for us anyway...apts are definitely smaller than we are used to but there are no houses for rent around our area....we've downsized before we can do it again.

 Theresa, I hope that you find something perfect for you very quickly. I am sorry that you and the girls have to go through this.

Well, Chuck & I won't be getting a Toyota Tundra at least for two years. Chuck said that our suburban just wasn't going to cut it this summer. I was really hoping to not have a car payment for at least a year since we have just paid off all our car loans.

However, I want to go downstate for a week between the reunions and he says he isn't comfortable doing that with the suburban. He has been looking for a used vehicle to replace the suburban and we bought a used GMC Denali. It is pretty luxurious for what I'm used to. It has heated leather seats! I don't even know all the other bells & whistles it has. The main thing is that Chuck says we can use it for at least two years to pull the camper so we'll be good for our camping trip in June 2008.

The good news is that we might take the camper on a trip west or east this summer.

Sounds great! I'll vote for east. ;)

I hope you all are enjoying your Easter!

I am finally sitting down for just a minute... each of the families should start getting here any time now! Kyle surprised me and was home when I got home from the early church service! Of course, it wasn't much of an "Easter together". He cut his finger and had to get it stitched up (he considered just doing it himself, the dork!). Now our drain and garbage disposal are acting up. Ten minutes ago, we had (sorry for the image ahead)... what looked like vomited, finely chopped potato skins and brown water filling our kitchen sink. Totally not appetizing, sitting right across from the island full of food. UGH! He went to the store and is now trying to fix it.... I'm trying not to freak out (hence being here) :rotfl:

We have cheesy potatoes made and ready to bake... the ham is thawed in the fridge, ready to be cooked and glazed ... deviled eggs, angel food cupcakes and a fruit plate (as well as tons of candy) are out - and, of course, already being consumed.

When everyone gets here, mom and I will try and figure out how to correlate the cooking times (she's bringing corn souffle, green beans, etc). Then we'll have our egg hunt while the (early) dinner is cooking. Yes, all adults and still an egg hunt :teeth: This is the first year I've hidden the eggs (80 of them ), so I'm a bit nervous about the outcome!

I can't wait to see pictures of your day... especially all those cute kids in their easter outfits, if it was warm enough (or you were prepared enough) to wear them. My adorable, spring/Easter dress is hanging in my closet with the price tags on since it's been snowing for 5 days now. :sad2:

Have a great afternoon!

I hope that the rest of the day turned out better!

I have been cleaning a bit. Got DS's bathroom all scrubbed and one (yes, ONE) load of laundry done. DH loaded the dishwasher and cleaned the fishbowl. I finally got around to going through the HUGE stack of coupons that has been building - half of them were expired!

DH is going to go to the grocery to grab a few more things for dinner. Since DS wasn't feeling well when we went to Sam's yesterday we just grabbed a few things and came home.

DS is being snarky because I told him he has clean up or he will NOT be allowed to "camp" in the living room tonight. His room is a disaster, yet he is in MY room playing Nintendo. That REALLY makes me mad because I told him to turn OFF the Game Cube in the living room.

Jennifer - No cute Easter outfits here! DS is in a polo shirt and his underwear. He hates to wear pants for some reason.

I need to spend a lot of time this week cleaning. Miles likes to "camp" in the living room, too.

Here is a not great picture of the new do.

Deb

I love the new hair, Deb! And you have quite a cutie on your lap. :goodvibes

not sure if this is old news or not...I seem to be a day late & a dollar short these days :rotfl:

I spent all day yesterday trying to figure out a way to justify (and pay for) a trip the week before school starts. I just couldn't do it. :sad2:

Evening all.
Happy Easter.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Went to Fort Wilderness campfire & movie last night.
3 adults & 6 kids.
We had the most fun.
Didn't get home till 1 A.M. :scared1:
We almost froze our butts off.
Funny no-one wanted to go home early.
Ramiro & I have Narnia on DVD.
No-one else had seen it.
Slept in today 10:00 A.M.
Put gas in the car & got a paper today.
Talked to my DD.
That's all I did all day.
Well I'm sitting outside talking to you all.
All in all has been a great weekend.

Sounds like fun, Jo!

evening all,

Well I woke up this morning to feeling like my back went out. Icould not move without being in pain. I had to have Jeff come home from work. My mom came and got Olivia and took her to church. Jeff massaged my back and I took tylenol and was finally able to get up without pain. We came home around 5 and my computer would not load netscape. It took Jeff 3 hours to get it fixed. I have a heating pad on my back now. I think it is time to take more tylenol

Ouch! I hope that your back pain is gone now.

Marci-as of last night one of the band students was still in the hospital. It's a miracle to me after seeing the wreckage that all but one survived. Members of the band are going to play for the service of the dad....I got so choked up hearing that.

Abi is home not feeling good....I didn't have to work anyway....but I don't feel so hot...but I don't know if it's all in my head or if I'm sick...so I think I'll go cuddle with my sickie and figure it out.

Continued prayers for the band members and especially for the family of the dad.

I hope that Abi and you feel better soon!

Good morning. We will be hitting the road around noon to head back to Virginia. I hate the thoughts of that long drive. The visits always go too quickly.

It sounds like most of us had good Easters.

Deb - I really like the new cut/color. I went darker a few years ago and have found that I need to have lighter highlights. It gives the gray something to blend into. ;)

We also hit the road about noon yesterday, and our visit was much too quick, too!

I keep thinking I need to cover my grey, but I haven't worked up the nerve yet. Plus I really don't want to do something that I'm going to have to keep up with, because I know that I won't.

Ok. I got my Easter pictures all uploaded. Feel free to skip this post if you want to.

First a picture of my kids in their Easter outfits:

What beautiful kids! With the cold, snowy weather, I didn't even get my kids new Easter clothes this year. Yours look so springy and happy!

Hello, All!

My precious friends are back from DL! They had a great time, despite some glitches! Brother got a horrible vomit virus on Thursday, which was supposed to be their only day at DL!:guilty: Momboss took him back to the hotel to rest once it was 3 PM check-in time, but he wouldn't sleep once they got there. She said he slept while she was carrying him back, and that seemed to revive him! There were NO strollers when they got there, the Fast Pass return time for Buzz was midnight (got the Pass at 10 AM, so that effectively shot FP for them for the day), the stand-by line for Peter Pan was FOUR hours. But they rode Pirates, Dumbo, Mr. Toad, Snow White, Small World, Astro Orbiter. They saw the parade and the fireworks. Momboss said Brother was petrified of the fireworks. Since Brother was sick they decided to add another day and do half of Friday at DL, too. They did get to ride Buzz at some point and Brother really liked it. They loved the character breakfast. They met Mickey (after 1 hr. 20 min. in the queue). Brother ran up to him and said "Mickey, I use the potty!":goodvibes They bought a ton of stuff, including pirate shirts for DS & me.:) I can't wait for them to go to WDW!

Today we are just getting sorted out. I am going to take them to see Meet the Robinsons tomorrow.

Jennifer - My Netscape blew out a couple of weeks ago, which is why we bought the new computer. Maybe it is the ISP and not my old computer causing the problems! Glad Jeff was able to fix it. It took me about 7 hours to fix mine, and it wasn't exactly fixed. I hope your back feels better!

Jen - Enjoy your break!

Deb - The color looks good! I though maybe it just looked darker from cutting the curls off!

Mac - Good thoughts for Aidan and your family!

Theresa - I hope Abi feels better quick! And you, too!:wizard:

Tom - Glad to hear I am not the only one with a pantless child!:rotfl2:

I am glad that they had a good time at DL. Wow, those waits are a little scary!

I missed the post about the pantless children, but you can add my youngest to that crowd many days. :rotfl:

And now....more pictures.

Those were great pictures, too, Glynis!!! I will post photos of our Easter egg hunt with the snow if any of them came out. It's a bit of a contrast to the green grass and shorts in yours.

I love the idea of growing the grass centerpiece! If I think about it early enough next year, I'm going to do that.

Beth
