So does anyone have any special plans for this Easter weekend?
Ramiro has out-grown the Easter bunny.
Thinking maybe wrap up the yard work early Saturday.
Saturday evening doing the Campfire movie @ F.W.
Going with my Coworker Sara & her family.
Make some pocorn @ home.
Take hotdogs, marshmallows, jug of tea.
Just enjoy friends & a movie.

That sounds fun!

We are having an Easter Egg hunt for all the kids in the family (with all Alan's siblings here we'll have about 40 kids there). We hide real dyed Easter eggs, and then toss bags and bags of candy onto the grass and let the kids go at it. They love it and it's a ton of fun! Then, we'll have a barbecue. It's a really fun time. I'll be taking pictures, so expect to be bored with pictures later.

Tomorrow evening, Alan and I have a wedding to go to, and it should be really nice. So, we'll get a nice adult's only evening out. I'll stay up really late putting together and hiding Easter baskets.

Sunday morning, we'll have a small Easter egg hunt with just our 4 kids. This one deals with the Resurrection, and is a great way to start Easter Sunday. I'll put the ham in the oven, and start the sweet potatoes in the morning, too. We go to Church at 1:00, and when we get home, the kids will hunt for their baskets. I'll finish putting dinner together, and we'll eat. Since all 4 kids will be getting new movies in their baskets, we'll have a lot to choose from for our family movie night.

I'm still trying to decide if I want to put together a breakfast for Sunday morning. I could throw together a french toast tomorrow night and just toss it in the oven Sunday moring. We'll see how I feel.

My Uncle Jim (Aunt Stell's husband) died during the night. They found out on Tuesday or Wednesday that he had taken a turn for the worse. Instead of being in a nursing home getting physical therapy to prepare him for going home, they told them that he was in the final stages before death. Uncle Jim told them he was prepared to move on. He has been in ill health for many years now.

Please say a prayer for my Aunt Stell, cousins Debbie & Suzy and their families.

I'm so sorry, Vicki! Prayers said for your whole family.

Glynis, Tia, Elin, and anyone else with DL trips coming up...

I just read in my monthly DVC e-mail that the new Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is officially slated to open on June 11.

I have no idea if this is old news or not, but wanted to put it out there in case you hadn't heard it.

I know! I'm so mad!!! We'll be there June 3-7. Grrrrr!!! I'm hoping for a soft opening opportunity, but I'm not holding my breath. Oh well, it's another reason to go back!

Thanks Elin and Theresa on the update on Aiden! Poor little guy! He is in our prayers!:wizard:

Also, thanks everyone on the comments on my adrs. I still am not sure about Coral Reef.:confused3 I have already changed things around about 3 times now. I am amost scared to call again! :scared1: I think we will sit and stew about them for awhile, and if I can't change it, then, I guess it was meant to be!:goodvibes

Okay proud mom moment here (not how I got it since I kind of snuck it:cutie: ):

I found this....it's for her language arts class for social commentary:

Author Bio:

Cassidy Heppner. I am a freshman at Littleton High School. I am probably the biggest band geek you’ll find. I play flute, piano, and alto sax. I also act and sing, and should probably give myself some more ‘me’ time. I lived in Billings, Montana until I was nine. I then moved here to Littleton, Colorado. My favorite place to be is anywhere my friends or family is. I’m going to Walt Disney World for the first time ever this July. I am so excited! The first ride I would like to go on is Pirates of the Caribbean, which is my favorite movie. I have a little sister, who I love so much. I’m going to work with infants when I get out of college.

Research Topic:

I decided to research the topic of ‘the cost of love’. In other words, what girls and boys think they have to do to get the opposite sex to like them. I chose this topic because I see so many of my friends becoming totally different people for a guy. My belief about the topic is that if the guy doesn’t like you for the true you, he is not worth it. The media is putting so many bad images of love out in the open. Many teens believe love is sex, perfect, but love is just love. You shouldn’t have sex just because you’re dating, and you’re truly in ‘love’. Honestly, in high school, it’s always love. Hope You Enjoy My Project!

While I like the Bio.....I am proudest of the topic and her explanation...what a great teenager I have!!:goodvibes

Theresa!!! What a fabulous thing!!! You are raising a wonderful young lady!

Hi everyone! I've had a really crappy day, between PMSing and going through all this property settlement stuff with xh2b. It has really been on my mind a lot and now am starting to worry about being able to afford to stay in this house. Anyway, that's not the point of this post. So I had talked to Bob a few times throughout the day and he knew about what my day was like. At 7PM I got a phone call from him, after I had gotten home from work and found out that my dog had tipped over the trash can and shredded every bit of trash all over my kitchen floor, which needed to be mopped before I could make dinner. So while talking to him I started venting about that. His reply was "it sounds like you need a hug." Of course my response was yes I do. The next thing I know, my doorbell rings and he says to me "if you answer your door you can have one." I know it sounds sappy now but you have know idea what a pick-me-up that was. :cloud9: :cloud9:

Tammi - I'm so sorry that yesterday was so yucky! I'm so, so glad that Bob was there to make it end on a higher note! He is sounding more and more like a keeper!

P3 is over for now! Off to do some DL planning.

Those of you who go there fairly regularly... do you always stay onsite or do you stay at one of the Good Neighbor hotels nearby?

I've never stayed onsite. We always stay at either the Park Vue Inn or the Best Western Park Place Inn. They are both directly across the street from the main gate, and actually are closer to Disneyland than any hotel other than the Grand Californian.

Good morning, DDA!!! I hope someone out there is having some nice springy weather for this Easter weekend cause it sure isn't us! Low of 22 tonight and a high of 41 on Easter so it's not looking good. (Though definitely better than the snow some of you are getting.)

Would it hurt anyone's feelings if I were to say "we are having great weather!"? Today it's 73 degrees and tomorrow it's supposed to be 78 degrees, and Sunday will be almost 80 degrees!!! Hooray!!! Of course, it's supposed to get cold again next week.

nope not mine

Here is a list of the TS that I have made. All of these are places that we haven't tried yet, so I am unsure about any and all of them.
What do you all think?

9/27: 'Ohana (Polynesian Resort) @ 6:25pm
This will be our first night, we are hoping that this will be a good first meal!

9/28: Liberty Tree Tavern (Magic Kingdom) @ 4:05pm
EST MNSSHP date.

9/29: Garden Grill (The Land - Epcot) @ 6:00pm
Leighanna loves Chip n' Dale, so we thought we would give this a try!

9/30: Coral Reef (Living Seas - Epcot) @ 11:30pm
Should I change this to dinner instead of lunch? I am just unsure about this one!

10/1: Hollywood & Vine Lunch (MGM Studios) @ 12:00pm
Leighanna loves Jo Jo and the Little Einsteins, so we knew we wanted to try it.

10/2: Chef Mickey's Dinner (Contemporary) @ 6:10pm
Looking forward to this! We ate at the Concourse Steakhouse last year, and Leighanna really wanted to go here too!

10/3: Cinderella's Gala Feast (Grand Floridian Resort) @ 6:00pm
We were wanting to try this earlier in our trip, but 1900 Park Fare is scheduled for refurbishment until the beginning of Oct. If it is not finished, they will have preplated meals at the Café instead!

Let me know what you think! Would you change anything, or any times?
I figure it will be hot, so I am thinking later dinners would be a refreshing thing to do, rather than lunch. But again, I am not sure!

i wasnt to thrilled with coral reef. i like seafood but they didnt have what i liked. other than that it was okay.

and with impeccable timing too!!

I know! and if Bob had not walked into the room and asked me a question I think the two posts would have been at exactly the same time. :)

for what it is worth, Tom.... Coral Reef is one of our favorite restaurants at WDW. It is even worth the wait that you sometimes encounter, in our opinion. Great atmosphere and we love their food too.

That is good to know, Glynis... thanks!

A little background... The first time I went to DL was with my parents on our glorious 6 week cross-country trip 40 years ago. We pulled a travel trailer and went to DL for one day, using the old A-B-C-D-E ticket system. Fast forward to 1993-1999 when I was able to got to DL every year or so because I was in the LA area on business. When we last were at DL we traveled with friends from CT. She was a CM at a Disney Store at that time and we were all able to book concierge level room at the Disneyland Hotel at EXTREMELY resonable prices. So, we have stayed there before. If I can convince Bob to go with me for this trip I would like to extend our time in CA and do some additional sightseeing. That being the case, I would like to save some money.

We are going to talk about this over the weekend and decide what we both think we want to do. The problem is that when I am at the Yamaha Music Camp we are staying onsite at Biola University. I am sure that it is a fine school with good facilities, but last year at Catholic University we were in dorms that were less than optimnal. The beds were covered in plastic wraps that crinkled and crackled all night long. I finally took my blanket and put it under the sheets I was given and that helped a lot. I don't know if Bob is ready to rough it that much! :rotfl: The only other option is for him do fly one side of the flight on his own and I don't know if he really wants to do that either.

So, much talking going on in Virginia this weekend so that I can plan a trip to CA in July! :goodvibes

Can the doctor's office call it in directly to Sam's? That's what I usually do if we don't get a prescription during a regular appointment.

Welcome to the world of "controlled substances". We have to call and ask for his prescription to be written, then we have to pick it up in person and have it filled within 7 days. It is his ADD med. So we get to repeat this process every 30 days. He doesn't take meds on the weekend, though, so a prescription lasts us for 6 weeks. The office IS open in the morning, so I'll go get it then.

Thanks Elin and Theresa on the update on Aiden! Poor little guy! He is in our prayers!:wizard:

We have been to Coral Reef for dinner twice. DH really likes it. DS & I like it too, but the reviews are very spotty. More for service than food. Even with an ADR we had to wait in February. And they don't call names - they sort of patrol the waiting area to see if they can match up the description with the parties. Then they approach you and say your name very quietly. We found that very odd. I guess that cuts down on people saying they are someone else to snag a table.:confused3 Going there at night made DS very sleepy. It is kind of dark and watery looking, and they play sort of woozy music. Maybe stick with lunch so the bright sunlight will wake you up when you leave!:rotfl2:

Theresa and Ellen thanks for the update on Adian

I hope things are back on the upswing soon!:wizard:

so what is everyone having for dinner tonight.

Jeff is grilling steaks then we will have lettuce and baked potatos with it.
