My Uncle Jim (Aunt Stell's husband) died during the night. They found out on Tuesday or Wednesday that he had taken a turn for the worse. Instead of being in a nursing home getting physical therapy to prepare him for going home, they told them that he was in the final stages before death. Uncle Jim told them he was prepared to move on. He has been in ill health for many years now.

Please say a prayer for my Aunt Stell, cousins Debbie & Suzy and their families.

prayers said for your entire family.:wizard:

Howdy!!

Have any of you eaten at the following?? If so, what did you think?

Flying Fish
Big River Grille
Spoodles
ESPN Club

I just did a bunch of number crunching. I think I need to save $100 a week between now and our trip to have it completely paid for before we leave. I think that is a realistic goal. It will be great knowing that we will come home with no looming bills. :cool1: The largest expense is for the 5 premium annual passes, the good news is we won't have that expense for our 2008 trip. We also won't have airfare costs or rental car costs in 2008. Most of our meals can be preplanned and prepacked in the camper. I bet our 2008 trip will be about 1/4 of the cost of our 2007 trip. I'm having a happy day :thumbsup2 I think one extra night a week at the restaurant will be enough to pull this off. If I get 2 extra nights it is all the better.

sounds like you have it all figured out, Deb! :goodvibes

Big River Grille -2-3 times and liked it well enough
Spoodles - for breakfast a LOT and love it. For dinner once and LOVED it.
ESPN Club - Bob ate there once and enjoyed his lunch.

Flying Fish - nope... no one but me is enamored with their menu. :(

Okay proud mom moment here (not how I got it since I kind of snuck it:cutie: ):

I found this....it's for her language arts class for social commentary:

Cassidy Heppner. I am a freshman at Littleton High School. I am probably the biggest band geek you’ll find. I play flute, piano, and alto sax. I also act and sing, and should probably give myself some more ‘me’ time. I lived in Billings, Montana until I was nine. I then moved here to Littleton, Colorado. My favorite place to be is anywhere my friends or family is. I’m going to Walt Disney World for the first time ever this July. I am so excited! The first ride I would like to go on is Pirates of the Caribbean, which is my favorite movie. I have a little sister, who I love so much. I’m going to work with infants when I get out of college.

Research Topic:

I decided to research the topic of ‘the cost of love’. In other words, what girls and boys think they have to do to get the opposite sex to like them. I chose this topic because I see so many of my friends becoming totally different people for a guy. My belief about the topic is that if the guy doesn’t like you for the true you, he is not worth it. The media is putting so many bad images of love out in the open. Many teens believe love is sex, perfect, but love is just love. You shouldn’t have sex just because you’re dating, and you’re truly in ‘love’. Honestly, in high school, it’s always love. Hope You Enjoy My Project!

While I like the Bio.....I am proudest of the topic and her explanation...what a great teenager I have!!:goodvibes

what a great kid your raising Theresa

Thanks Elin...since we own at BW Bill feels compelled that we must try every restaurant there this trip...hard to fit it all in. I am sure however, we are up for the challenge :rotfl2:

Hi everyone! I've had a really crappy day, between PMSing and going through all this property settlement stuff with xh2b. It has really been on my mind a lot and now am starting to worry about being able to afford to stay in this house. Anyway, that's not the point of this post. So I had talked to Bob a few times throughout the day and he knew about what my day was like. At 7PM I got a phone call from him, after I had gotten home from work and found out that my dog had tipped over the trash can and shredded every bit of trash all over my kitchen floor, which needed to be mopped before I could make dinner. So while talking to him I started venting about that. His reply was "it sounds like you need a hug." Of course my response was yes I do. The next thing I know, my doorbell rings and he says to me "if you answer your door you can have one." I know it sounds sappy now but you have know idea what a pick-me-up that was. :cloud9: :cloud9:

Tammi what a sweetheart Bob is.

Hi, Kristine!

Jonathan and I have eaten at Flying Fish, and at ESPN.

We ate at FF just last month, and were not impressed. Of course, maybe we went in with too high of expectations, but it didn't rank high on our list, and we probably won't be back. Our appetizers were okay (Jonathan had some sort of sushi; I had the crabcakes), but then neither of us liked our entrees (Jonathan had the lobster special of the night, and he didn't like that the lobster was already out of the shell, and marinated in something; and I had the potato-wrapped snapper that is their specialty - I found it dry and not very flavorful.) We opted not to spend any more $$ there, and got our dessert in the World Showcase instead.

The ESPN Club is nothing special, as far as food goes - our purpose of eating there was ancillary to our main purpose at the time, which was to see a Texas football game. But, I remember what we ordered was pretty good (burgers, wings, etc.) - I'd put it on par with other chain restaurants like Chili's, etc.

i ran into an old classmate from high school tonight--one of the first thing she asked me is who i was dating..When i told her i wasnt seeing anyone right now-she looked at me like i was crazy and said well i guess you never will--you have to have a boyfriend when you get out of college if you want to get married..i

i just looked at her like she was crazy--STRANGE conversation!
Very strange. Don't listen to her. :sad2: I think she is on crack.

You should all check out this video. It is of a song that was written and performed by some American Soldiers in Iraq. What a tear jerker.
