Ok what planet is she from :rotfl:

i ran into an old classmate from high school tonight--one of the first thing she asked me is who i was dating..When i told her i wasnt seeing anyone right now-she looked at me like i was crazy and said well i guess you never will--you have to have a boyfriend when you get out of college if you want to get married..i

i just looked at her like she was crazy--STRANGE conversation!

My Uncle Jim (Aunt Stell's husband) died during the night. They found out on Tuesday or Wednesday that he had taken a turn for the worse. Instead of being in a nursing home getting physical therapy to prepare him for going home, they told them that he was in the final stages before death. Uncle Jim told them he was prepared to move on. He has been in ill health for many years now.

Please say a prayer for my Aunt Stell, cousins Debbie & Suzy and their families.
Vicki,
I am so sorry. I am at a loss for words. Prayers for you & the family.

Good morning, all!:)

Nothing exciting here. I need to run some errands - post office, pick up a prescription for DS, buy some food for my bosses' cat.

Vicki, I am so sorry! Poor Aunt Stell!

Cassidy was so embarrassed when she saw that I was pasting this to all of you...she said why mom?? I said because I had to brag!!

Good for Cassidy! I hope she realizes how proud you are of her!:thumbsup2

Hmm. I didn't start to college until AFTER I got married. So there!:rotfl2:

Great.

Gotta get Nicholas off to school. Talk to you all later!

Nicholas has school today? DS is off today and Monday. But you guys have had more snow days than we have, so maybe that's the difference. Enjoy your visit with your parents!:)

Good morning, DDA!!! I hope someone out there is having some nice springy weather for this Easter weekend cause it sure isn't us! Low of 22 tonight and a high of 41 on Easter so it's not looking good. (Though definitely better than the snow some of you are getting.)

Nope. No Spring weather here! DS and DH are going to the baseball game and the high is only going to be in the 50's. It's cloudy, too, so they won't have the benefit of the sun. Now I really hope they DON'T have an extra ticket, because I would be miserable!

Jennifer - A baseball game isn't my idea of fun to begin with. A baseball game in the SNOW is my idea of he**!:rotfl: I am glad you all had fun, even with the bad weather!

Tom - Beware of eBay! Bad, very bad!;) Hopefully the seller and I have worked out an agreement on the pin. We'll see.

Welcome to our visitors! We hope you will stick around!:goodvibes

Okay proud mom moment here (not how I got it since I kind of snuck it:cutie: ):

I found this....it's for her language arts class for social commentary:

Author Bio:

Cassidy Heppner. I am a freshman at Littleton High School. I am probably the biggest band geek you’ll find. I play flute, piano, and alto sax. I also act and sing, and should probably give myself some more ‘me’ time. I lived in Billings, Montana until I was nine. I then moved here to Littleton, Colorado. My favorite place to be is anywhere my friends or family is. I’m going to Walt Disney World for the first time ever this July. I am so excited! The first ride I would like to go on is Pirates of the Caribbean, which is my favorite movie. I have a little sister, who I love so much. I’m going to work with infants when I get out of college.

Research Topic:

I decided to research the topic of ‘the cost of love’. In other words, what girls and boys think they have to do to get the opposite sex to like them. I chose this topic because I see so many of my friends becoming totally different people for a guy. My belief about the topic is that if the guy doesn’t like you for the true you, he is not worth it. The media is putting so many bad images of love out in the open. Many teens believe love is sex, perfect, but love is just love. You shouldn’t have sex just because you’re dating, and you’re truly in ‘love’. Honestly, in high school, it’s always love. Hope You Enjoy My Project!

While I like the Bio.....I am proudest of the topic and her explanation...what a great teenager I have!!:goodvibes
That is great!!!!!Love it. Brag away!!! She sounds like a great kid!!!!:)

Meeting with the photographer went well. Still have to figure out which one I like better. Just in case anyone wants to view - again - www.tnphotographics.com and www.ronemser.com
I would have to say the first one Chanon. Their wedding photos are very modern without looking "staged". Very cuting edge. Very elegant too.

Morning DDA :wave2:

Well, this cold that I have had for almost two months has had me going :crazy2: I have been to the DR three times now. Yesterday I even had a  temp again. So I went to the DR and told him that I have not gotten any better and really need this cold to be gone. To hear me cough you would think I was gonna cough that lung up :rotfl:
So he gave me an even stronger antibiotic and an inhaler to use. I also was concerned since I am flying down to see my sister in Ga and sure do not want to start a coughing fit and be asked to leave the plane
So, I have 6 days to get better :thumbsup2

Yesterday I also went to get my new glasses. I finally got brave and got a funky pair. Will take pictures while Chuckie and I are visiting my sister.
I was going to work after and the sun is sorta shining and I am seeing snow flakes  Now I remember when living in Fla and it would rain while the sun was shining, we called that a sun shower. So I guess we could call this a sun shower too. :rotfl:
Thank goodness there has been no more snow so far. They keep saying that awful word flurries. But it has gotten very cold and windy.
So now I am off to work for a few hours and then will visit my 2 DGS Caydn and Noah tonight.

Our family had the sweetest, but sad, thing happen this week. A good friend of my mom's had a younger brother that died this week. He was 25 and just messing around with some friends in the driveway. At some point he fell and hit is head hard on the driveway. Apparently that caused him to vomit and he asperated on it and died. Very sad for the family. The sweet part for us though came when my mom's friend called to talk to her as the brother was an organ donor. Cheri wanted to do what she could to get his liver donated to Brendan if she could. In the end, we told her it was best to just let it go to someone else more immediately in need as Brendan isn't even on the list yet and there are people who need it more right now. Brendan will probably be put on the list in the next year, but they haven't started the process yet. It was just so touching for us all that she was thinking of him in a time of such personal greif. The visitation is today with the funeral on Sunday if you could keep this wonderful family in your prayers.

So ends my P3 I guess. I'm sure there is something that I need to do around here though I am enjoying the peace of being the only one awake right now. A cup of coffee and the DIS is such a nice way to start the day.

I will end with some possible good news though...My BIL Chris has an interview next week! The district manager from Jiffy Lube saw Chris resume on Monster.com and called him yesterday. They want to interview him on Tuesday for a position of general manager for one of their locations. I am so happy that he has an interview at least as I know that he was starting to get down on himself since he'd had no luck so far.

I am so sorry..glad you have alittle good news too though. Good luck to your BIL.

Terry I hope the stronger antibiotics work :wizard:

Theresa's post about Cassidy's project reminded me of something. DS brought home a permission slip to go to the "puberty" presentation at school. He came home with 2 little brochures last week, and I figured that was the end of it. Apparently it is actually a series of lectures, because he went to another one yesterday about STDs. He won't even reply if a girl speaks to him, so the notion of an STD and the mode of transmission has him completely boggled.:rotfl2: I shouldn't laugh.

I am shocked that the public schools are actually educating the kids on STDs when the HUGE push is to only teach them about abstinence. The lady conducting the lectures is from Planned Parenthood, which seems terribly progressive for TX! Don't get me wrong - I am THRILLED that they are introducing all these topics, just surprised! He said there are 9 other 5th grade boys that go to the "Boys' Club". I saw a note about "Girls' Club" that the PE teacher is facilitating, but I didn't realize they were doing one for the boys, too. I am glad he is learning about all this stuff while he is still repulsed by it.;)

Hi everyone! I've had a really crappy day, between PMSing and going through all this property settlement stuff with xh2b. It has really been on my mind a lot and now am starting to worry about being able to afford to stay in this house. Anyway, that's not the point of this post. So I had talked to Bob a few times throughout the day and he knew about what my day was like. At 7PM I got a phone call from him, after I had gotten home from work and found out that my dog had tipped over the trash can and shredded every bit of trash all over my kitchen floor, which needed to be mopped before I could make dinner. So while talking to him I started venting about that. His reply was "it sounds like you need a hug." Of course my response was yes I do. The next thing I know, my doorbell rings and he says to me "if you answer your door you can have one." I know it sounds sappy now but you have know idea what a pick-me-up that was. :cloud9: :cloud9:

Tammi,
It is not sappy, it is very sweet. He knew what you needed. Sounds like you found a prince charming. I am so happy for you. You deserve it.
