I hated my flowers! The florist didn't listen to me at all and just did his own thing. He was supposed to be so good, too, which is probably why he thought his ideas were better than mine. I wanted it very simple...several stems of daffodils and blue iris with a little greenery and a few lily of the valley tucked in tied with a simple bow. I just about cried when they arrived. There were a few daffodils and blue iris and even a couple lily of the valley, but there was a ton of other stuff in there, too. It looked like a big jumbled mess tied with a giant ugly bow to me. I just went ahead with it all so as not to add any extra stress to my mother's day, but it is the one thing that really wasn't right. (Well, my veil wasn't what I'd ordered either, and they had to add a panel to the neckline of my dress, because it was cut much, much lower than the one that I had tried on...)

The flowers for the church were white daisies and white mini-carnations. Those were ok. I didn't care as much about those.

When my sisters bouquet arrived at the church, it was obvious they had "forgotten" to arrange it. It was Mothers Day week-end and you could tell they just had put some in to set them aside so they didn't accidentally use them. My sister started crying. I told her it would be fine. I set to arranging them (and I'm not an arranger by any means). However, we had nothing to wire them in. She had to hold them kind of on an angle to make sure they didn't fall out. I felt so bad for her but no one else knew.

Sorry, Elin. :guilty: My mistake. ;)

I was thinking that it would look really cute if you put your wedding pic in your siggy along with your 'now' pic. :teeth:

I hope you didn't think I was angry about the shoes?!?!? They do look like those grecian-style things that have been popular off and on over the years.

Hmmmm... I don't think I want to put Bob in his geeky no-glass-glasses in my siggy. The photographer wouldn't let him leave his real glasses on since they would turn a little dark in the photos. So he had those lovely frames that every groom in Punsutawney who had his photos done at Manfredo's must have been wearing during the 70s. :rotfl:

Yep, I've seen his picture, but unfortunately no references.

You can really find a TON of info on someone, even without their SSN. For free. You can search property records, divorce records, sex offender databases, not sure what else. Anyone who offers you a SSN before you meet for coffee is someone who has a fake SSN!;)

WHOO HOO! :woohoo: Are you going to Hyperion? And so I know this guy?!?!? If the kids are home from school I will come play with them so you can go. Of course, I might tell them where they are going for the weekend... :rolleyes1
He's coming from Springfield so we are going to Starbucks on 610.

Note to self - don't let Elin speak to the kids before Friday. :rotfl:

NO! That was sarcasm! :)

Is he still married?:rotfl2: (Only half kidding, because one of my friends had a habit of dating married men.)
How long has he been divorced? What does he do for a living? Is he allowed unsupervised visits with his girls? (Again, I ask because I know a woman who was dating a guy who was NOT allowed unsupervised visits with his own kids.) What happens if you Google search him? How did you meet him? Does he come with references?

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: You crack me up, Elizabeth!!!

Here's a picture of the back.

I love the dresses especially the color!

I was hoping no one would ask this question.

I'm actually giving the online dating thing a try. Kristine is my mentor.

I have had lots of single parents of students I teach do this and it has worked out very well. I assume he lives in the F'burg area. If his kids go to Yamaha you are SET! :rotfl:

ETA: I see that he is in Springfield. Now I am really hoping the weather holds out so he can get down here and you can get up there.

My mother weighed 89 lbs when she got married. There was no way that her gown would have fit me. I think I fit into it in 6th or 7th grade :rotfl: :rotfl:

Deb

I had wished my mother had had a long dress. However, it was knee length.

and i was dead serious about coming over to your house to play with the kids while you go on a date... I promise I wouldn't tell them either.

Good evening ladies. Thuoght I would stop by and say hello.
Tammi, good luck on your cofee date!
