Thank you Tammi.

Kate, almost forgot. Thank you for the Christmas picture card, it is so cute. :)

Hi all, just got back from the Dr. Thankfully I do not have Strep Throat.
I am coughing a lot tho and using a large amount of Kleenex. :rotfl:
I just took my cough medicine and antibiotic and am going to take a nap until supper.
My DH had bought lamb chops for Saturday night but when he looked at me, he said "You probably would not be able to even taste or enjoy it."
So he will be making them with mushrooms and artichokes for me tonight :goodvibes He is such a sweetheart.

all this DVC talk reminded me of why once again I LOVE DVC

Steve checked us into the Beach Club while I was at the MK - I called and asked how the room was and he said - I think you will like it - we have an Epcot view!!!

as we walked in the view was directly of the Epcot ball - and on the balcony we could watch illuminations and wishes at the same time - I can't tell you how amazing it was

julia was turning her head back forth and finally siad - "Mommy - I don't know which one to watch!!" What a horrible decision to have to make - Illuminations or Wishes!! ;)

Okay, I've got to try BC!!!:dance3: :dance3:

That sounds yummy. I hope you feel better.

It's snowing here today! FINALLY! I hate the snow, but goodness, it needs to snow now so it doesn't snow in the spring! It's almost like we need to add a month before October to even the seasons out!

Well, in two days I have to teach 10 people about how to buy a Disney package and enjoy their time there...anyone have any suggestions on what to "sell"? My powerpoint goes into detail about the parks, hotels and types of packages - I'm wondering if I should remove Adventures by Disney all together (only three slides) and talk about Fastpasses and the touring the parks more. And I'm still waiting on a box of brochures to be delivered. Apparently no one told me we are down to 4 brochures - and the TA that orders brochures always forgets about Disney - go figure - so of course it's my fault...so if you were traveling to Disney for the first time - what would you like to hear about?

the extras like tours recreation ...

Hello, All!

I feel like crap again today. Strangest virus. I don't exactly have a headache, my head just feels sort of dizzy/lightheaded. And my stomach hurts. It is my actual stomach, too, higher than what you normally think of a "stomachache" as being. No fever, no vomiting, no stuffy nose, no cough, none of that. And I am exhausted. I slept the entire day yesterday. I got out of bed twice to get something to eat. I don't have much of an appetite, though, and food commercials on TV make me nauseous.

I cancelled that interview this morning. I would have had to get showered, dressed in "business casual", and driven about 20 miles. I would not have made a very good impression. The thing is, they REALLY frown on you cancelling anything. I get ONE more chance and if I have to cancel that one then I am out - end of story. I never get sick, but of course they don't know me so they don't know that. I got up at 11 AM to get ready for work.

I read everything, but I don't remember half of what I was going to reply.

Chris & Joe - Congrats on your tests!

Terry, Heidi, Stephanie - Feel better soon!

Lindsay - Glad you booked a trip!

Kate - Welcome home! Today is the first day to register for the '08 marathon. I would like to hear more about it before I make a commitment. Of course the scheduling for DS and DH is another HUGE hurdle to look at, as well as whether or not I will have enough time to train.

I'm going to go get a snack while Brother & Sister are napping. I might check in later, if I can stay awake past dinner.

Tia - I thought you were going as a big group in May - did that fall through?

It has moved about a dozen times in the last 5 years. We had moved from May to September-ish. Then one sister decided not to go back to work for a little while after the baby was born so we were maybe going to move it. Then the OTHER sister decided to be pregnant and due in August.

SOOOO now we've moved it indefinitely and maybe across the country. Kristi and Erin have suggested that we do Disneyland since all 3 of our in-laws live in So Cal. They figure we can fulfill family obligations, hit Disneyland altogether and more cheaply and hopefully time it so that my mom can fulfill her dream of seeing the Rose Parade. We'll see how that works out, but I still REALLY want to get us all to WDW sometime.

I am setting up my ING account to start saving for a WDW group trip. Even if I can only save a little each week to start, I'm hoping that I can get a good start on the group trip in the next year or so that it will get everyone else closer to being able to affording the trip by the time our youngests (Chase now 5 weeks and the baby due in August) are a couple of years old. One of my main goals will to get Phil to actually tell his parents what I really want for my birthday and Christmas which is the Disney gift card or a Visa/AmExpress gift card so that I can use it for the trip.

Long answer to a short question, sorry, but I'm more set on the idea than ever after our last trip, even if I have to cut back on trips for just me and Terra.

Good Morning!!!!

How is everyone?

On Friday - I got the pleasure of meeting Ellen and Glynis - Lynn was unable to join us after all

Ellen's family was a lot of fun and her boys are delgihtful!! She has raised very nice young men and should be very proud of them!!!

Glynis and her DH were just as sweet in person as you would expect and it was wonderful finally meeting her!

It was a very stressful meal for me as WCC tends to wind your kids up and then we were there for THREE hours!!! I feel like I didn't get to talk much!

I can't wait to hear how the marathon went
my sister (Nancy), her DH and my dad all finished in about 3 hours! It was so inspirational and emotional to be at the finish line -

A little after they crossed the finish line we heard they ran out of medals - how heartbreaking for the people at the end - who the medals would have meant the most to!!

Disney has a lot of work to do on the marathon - we got a lot of misinformation about it!

Welcome back, Kate!!! How wonderful to meet everyone. Congratulations to your family for their finishes. Are you planning to try for next year?

:goodvibes

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes.

I made it through 5 hours at work before I left, I decided that I wasn't going to push it. I am definitely starting to feel human again, I start my third round of antibiotics tomorrow, hopefully that will be the one to finally nip this thing in the bud.

:grouphug: for the rest of us who are feeling poorly.

Congrats on all the new reservations, wish I were going too.

Well I'm off to take a nap

I'm glad that you are feeling better, Debbie! I think you did just the right thing leaving work early. No sense in knocking your progress back a step. :wizard: for continued improvement. :grouphug:

Well im getting ready to go to bed..im babysitting tomorrow 9-12, not sure if i have 1 or 2 kids, but im hoping for 1!

Tomorrow night, my mom and i may go see my grandma--the one having surgery friday, so i have no clue whats going on! im sure ill be around , have a great night!
:grouphug: You will all be in my thoughts Friday!

Thanks for the suggestions! I have Fastpass, ADR's, and Early/Extra Magic Hours on my "touring tips" (even though I don't use the Early/Extra Magic Hours - but it is a selling point for some!) Any more?

Fastpass is definately way misunderstood. My "touring tip" is to get to the park early. If you aren't going to use EMH you need to know to avoid them.

I have a feeling that this was all preplanned by the family. Something just doesn't seem right.

Deb

It sounds fishy that this is such a huge media thing and the family is still in FL. Wouldn't they just enjoy the rest of thier vacation and pursue something after they got home?

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: Hope all the sickys around here feel better real soon.

it was really inspirational to watch

and I really would love to try - so I am going to tentavely say yes - we are thinking about staying then for a full trip

they had to get up so stinking early though!!

I actually had my biggest disney disappointment in relation to the marathon - they told us there would be buses to take us to Epcot to watch - so at 6 am my nephew and I go to get a bus and they tell us there are no buses - people had been waiting for an hour - after about 15 minutes I was angry - no cabs no buses - so I went in and told the manager - this is why I came and you said the buses would be running - I would have made other arrangements if I had known - you need to find a way to get us all b/c your hotel gave us all misinformation - there were no cabs - anything - and the manager said to me - no one here told you that i said yes they did and they told everyone out front the same thing - and his answer -I have no way to verify that you were told that but I assure you that no one here would have told you that b/c it is not true basically the man called me a liar -

DVC will be hearing about this!!!!

other than that and the lack of medals (which I hear they did find some more but not everyone got them) I think it was pretty well run

Tammi-I went to H&M at lunch. I did buy a really cute long sleeve Pooh T for Emma. It is olive green with a big pooh and piglet on the front and the back has the back of pooh & piglet. They also had girl's T's of Aristocats, 101 Dalmations, and Tinkerbell but they were pink and light purple-too girly for Emma. In boys they had a long sleeve Mickey T and long sleeve button down shirt-it was earthy tones plaid with Mickey embroidered (sp???) on the chest.

Then I went to the Disney Store. I really loved the way the T that I bought Friday fit me and really love the soft fabric so I wanted another one for me. And Joe was upset that I got the girls T's and not one for him. I figured I could get him one for his birthday. I got him a Dash comic book cover T and then saw that they had more T's out for just $4.99 less 25% or $3.74. Really cute. I got Joe & Emma Donald T's and Lizzy, Emma and me Tink T's.

I also bought a bunch of pins for $2.99. I can use these to trade at WDW right?

we went to the playhouse Disney breakfast and the Bippity Boppity Boutique

and we LOVED both of them!!!
