The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 20

I hope that everyone starts to feel better soon. It seems that there has been more this year than most. Colby now has a horrible cold. Maybe that explains some of his behavior on Friday as he was probably coming down with it then. Nick has 2 bad cold sores, one on his chin and one on his upper lip. They are both pretty big. I feel bad that he has to go to school with them, but our pediatrician swears that there is nothing he can prescribe to shorten the duration or severity. He tends to get them quite often. Certainly no fun. Wednesday I go back to my PCP for my back. Colby and Hunter both have appointments with the orthodist. Hunter is just a follow up and Colby is being casted for his new orthodics. We've never had so many doctor's appointments. I hope things settle down soon for all of us.

Deb -- Poor Colby and Nick. Have you tried giving Nick L-Lysine? It has helped both Randy and I not get them as often. Randy found something called Abreva that I used a couple of weeks ago when my lip first started tingling, and I thought it helped lessen the severity of it. I put it on my lip three or four times a day for the first couple of days.

it was really inspirational to watch

and I really would love to try - so I am going to tentavely say yes - we are thinking about staying then for a full trip

they had to get up so stinking early though!!

I actually had my biggest disney disappointment in relation to the marathon - they told us there would be buses to take us to Epcot to watch - so at 6 am my nephew and I go to get a bus and they tell us there are no buses - people had been waiting for an hour - after about 15 minutes I was angry - no cabs no buses - so I went in and told the manager - this is why I came and you said the buses would be running - I would have made other arrangements if I had known - you need to find a way to get us all b/c your hotel gave us all misinformation - there were no cabs - anything - and the manager said to me - no one here told you that i said yes they did and they told everyone out front the same thing - and his answer -I have no way to verify that you were told that but I assure you that no one here would have told you that b/c it is not true basically the man called me a liar -

DVC will be hearing about this!!!!

other than that and the lack of medals (which I hear they did find some more but not everyone got them) I think it was pretty well run

So basically he was saying that ALL of those people just decided to stand outside in case there was a bus. Somehow, I'm not buying that. I hope something is done to make future events more accurately informative.

we went to the playhouse Disney breakfast and the Bippity Boppity Boutique

and we LOVED both of them!!!

We the Playhouse Disney breakfast. Terra had a blast and was very taken with the guy Playhouse Pal. He was great! Even better when he was the male singer at the Epcot Tree Lighting a few days later.

The Minnie Mouse T that Julia is wearing at MGM is the style on sale today at the Disney Store for $3.74. I think I may have to go back tomorrow. The adult T's were $7.99 less 25% so they were $5.99.

Good Morning!!!!

How is everyone?

On Friday - I got the pleasure of meeting Ellen and Glynis - Lynn was unable to join us after all

Ellen's family was a lot of fun and her boys are delgihtful!! She has raised very nice young men and should be very proud of them!!!

Glynis and her DH were just as sweet in person as you would expect and it was wonderful finally meeting her!

It was a very stressful meal for me as WCC tends to wind your kids up and then we were there for THREE hours!!! I feel like I didn't get to talk much!

I can't wait to hear how the marathon went
my sister (Nancy), her DH and my dad all finished in about 3 hours! It was so inspirational and emotional to be at the finish line -

A little after they crossed the finish line we heard they ran out of medals - how heartbreaking for the people at the end - who the medals would have meant the most to!!

Disney has a lot of work to do on the marathon - we got a lot of misinformation about it!

Everyone doesn't get a medal for finishing? After the money they spend to participate? That is nuts.

Wow Kate sounds like you had a wonderful room with a perfect view!

all this DVC talk reminded me of why once again I LOVE DVC

Steve checked us into the Beach Club while I was at the MK - I called and asked how the room was and he said - I think you will like it - we have an Epcot view!!!

as we walked in the view was directly of the Epcot ball - and on the balcony we could watch illuminations and wishes at the same time - I can't tell you how amazing it was

julia was turning her head back forth and finally siad - "Mommy - I don't know which one to watch!!" What a horrible decision to have to make - Illuminations or Wishes!!

Hi all, just got back from the Dr. Thankfully I do not have Strep Throat.
I am coughing a lot tho and using a large amount of Kleenex.
I just took my cough medicine and antibiotic and am going to take a nap until supper.

Hello, All!

I feel like crap again today. Strangest virus. I don't exactly have a headache, my head just feels sort of dizzy/lightheaded. And my stomach hurts. It is my actual stomach, too, higher than what you normally think of a "stomachache" as being. No fever, no vomiting, no stuffy nose, no cough, none of that. And I am exhausted. I slept the entire day yesterday. I got out of bed twice to get something to eat. I don't have much of an appetite, though, and food commercials on TV make me nauseous.
