Elin - did you get your package today. Mine was waiting for me when I got home. Everything fits perfectly!

Looks nice Deb!

I went searching for a dress jacket today. I only have parkas and I need something dressier for the funeral. I found one at Kohls (the 4th store I looked at) and it will be another 15% off tomorrow. They are holding the jacket for me. :thumbsup2 $160 jacket for $54 sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Do you think this will look ok?

Off to watch some tv, talk with ya in the am.

pixiedust: and :grouphug: to all.

How horrible, so sorry to hear this. Prayers for the family.

Need prayers for Lizzy's friend Yvette's family. She and her parents when to France for Christmas-her Mom's sister is married to a Frenchman and Yvette has 2 cousins there. They spent last Christmas in Massachusetts. They were only there a few days when they got a call that Yvette's Dad's brother and SIL died on Christmas day. They were out on a walk with their DD's 15 & 13 when the dog fell in a river. Mom went after the dog and her DH went after her. The 15 year old ran for help while the 13 year old watch helpless. They didn't find the Mom for 4 days and still haven't found her DH.

Yvette's parents left her in France while they tried to help her uncle's family. They left no will so things were messy. Yvette and her Mom are back in Massachusetts now but her Dad is still in Ohio as they haven't found his brother yet.

Those poor girls!!! They will never be able to celebrate Christmas again.

Gene & I have a will but we need to call the lawyer this week to update it.

Oh my, where was she to get the tick? Glad you got it off!

We found a deer tick on Lizzy last night. We got most of it out but had to take her to the pediatrician today to remove the rest. Gene said she was great about it and she's usually a bit of a weany. We brought in the tick so they are testing it to see if it carried Lyme. I can't beleive this happened in January.

Glad you caught your mistake Elizabeth!

I almost made a BIG boo-boo! I was looking at airfare and thought the fare for Orlando for August had dropped over $100 per ticket. I ran and grabbed my credit card and feverishly started booking. LUCKILY at the last minute I caught the fact that I put in the WRONG airport code and was booking us to go to Kansas City!:scared1: Orlando is MCO, Kansas City is MCI. I really should be more careful about that. At least I hadn't gotten to the point of no return!

Hi Tammi,

been working on taking Christmas stuff down. Jeff decided the other day that when we pulled the boxes out of the attic to put it up he would put some thick plywood up there so I could walk on it and have more storage space.

He just finished.

That was a good idea. So is everything put away now?

not yet. He just finished the plywood. I have all the ornamenets off the tree and the christmas village stuff packed up. I have the mantle put back to its year round look.

Had to take a break before I took the tree down. then we get to lift everything up into the attic.

Sounds like a good spot to take a break and do the rest tomorrow!

Hi, Tammi & Jennifer!

Ugh! I am dreading taking down the Christmas stuff. I just put it up!:rotfl2: I am FINALLY feeling better, but of course we never accomplish anything during the week, so maybe we'll get the stuff packed up this weekend. Then again, we never did address the storage unit situation, so once we get all the stuff packed up we have nowhere to put the second tree.

I hope Brother doesn't get sick. I opened a brand new gallon of milk this morning, and he had a couple of cups out of it. At dinner Sister told me the milk smelled funny. I didn't believe her because she will try all sorts of tactics to get out of drinking her milk. Well, I smelled it and it did smell a little funny. She INSISTED there was something wrong with it, so I tasted it, and she was right! I apologized to her and I immediately took Brother's cup from him. Hopefully he will be OK.

Hi Elizabeth. I take it you haven't had any further cat problems with the tree???

EW, I sure hope brother is okay.

ugg what was the date on the milk? Hope he does not puke tonight or tomorrow.

Hopefully Brother will be fine. Emma had a few cups of milk at Eric's grandmother's house that was way past the expiration date. It was marked Sep 30 and it was Nov 9 when she had some. :crazy2: She never got sick which to this day amazes me! I never thought to check the date on it. We were visiting her and well needless to say we headed out the next morning to get new milk.

Tammi - No huge problems with the cat and the tree. She has knocked a few ornaments off, but they weren't breakable.

Jennifer - The milk is dated Jan. 13. It is Borden, so there is a separate "peel-off" seal under the cap. I could not believe it was bad!

Robin - I'm glad Emma was OK!

One time DS spit milk across the room at breakfast. I was IRATE, until I realized he spit it out because the milk was bad.:sad2: Unfortunately now Sister will tell me the milk is bad every night in hopes that she won't have to drink it.

Janet~ Sending :grouphug: and :wizard: for you and your friend Robin. What a horrible tragedy. I agree with everyone here, just listen to her.

Bernadette~ Sending :grouphug: and :wizard: to Yvette and her family. I pray they can find the father to help the girls say goodbye. I hope Lizzy is ok after her encounter with the tick.

Deb~ Sorry to hear about your cousin. :grouphug: and :wizard:

You obviously have earned the respect of the store manager and if taking this position will alleviate your stress then I say take it.

I am sending :wizard: and :grouphug: to all. I have been up since 2am and am barely hanging on. I will try to catch up a little more tomorrow. Good night!
