Thanks so much Tia!!!:cloud9: :cloud9:

Oh Tia....:rotfl2: :rotfl2: "Is it salvagable or replaceable?" I just have to laugh. It is hanging out on my clothesline drying so it will fit in a trash bag. I have little light blue pieces of rug everywhere. Up my stairs, little wisps slid under my sink as I was hauling it out. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I had tried to shampoo it, and the stains wouldn't come out. My grandkids dropped something on it. They didn't mean it, so I am determined not to make a big deal out of it. But I think of it out there on the clothesline in pieces..... :laundy: :laundy: and I'm just cracking up. I loved that rug, but not enough to make my grandkids feel bad for ruining it.... But it really couldn't look more pitiful.. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I opened the washer and peeked in and thought, this doesn't look good. :laundy:

I think that rug was meant for a wall, not a floor, especially a floor with kid access. Oh well....

You have no idea how much you helped me through this tonight. Just those few little words, and then I was able to see the humor in it. Because I was staring at the naked hardwood floor and I was so sad....

I think I should stop writing now, because I can imagine you are shaking your head saying, I didn't say anything witty, Steffy is losing her mind. But Tia, trust me, your words helped me more than you'll ever know.... :cloud9: :cloud9:

Well, I'm not sure what I said to help, but I'm glad that I did. :grouphug:

Debbie - here's my take on the situation. You are not the snake. The other girl had ample opportunity to improve her work. She did not take advantage of that. If the SM wants her removed, it is due to her substandard work. If that happens to benefit you, take advantage of the opportunity. ;)

I second that opinion!

Need prayers for Lizzy's friend Yvette's family. She and her parents when to France for Christmas-her Mom's sister is married to a Frenchman and Yvette has 2 cousins there. They spent last Christmas in Massachusetts. They were only there a few days when they got a call that Yvette's Dad's brother and SIL died on Christmas day. They were out on a walk with their DD's 15 & 13 when the dog fell in a river. Mom went after the dog and her DH went after her. The 15 year old ran for help while the 13 year old watch helpless. They didn't find the Mom for 4 days and still haven't found her DH.

Yvette's parents left her in France while they tried to help her uncle's family. They left no will so things were messy. Yvette and her Mom are back in Massachusetts now but her Dad is still in Ohio as they haven't found his brother yet.

Those poor girls!!! They will never be able to celebrate Christmas again.

Gene & I have a will but we need to call the lawyer this week to update it.

:grouphug: :grouphug: There is just so much tradegy recently.

I awoke to the radio this morning telling of another soldier that died in Iraq. I heard a last name & where he attended school. I shot right up freaking out, asking dh if he heard the whole name. This soldier that died was 24 year old Daniel Miller Jr. He is the oldest son of a friend that I grew up with. I seen Robin(his mother)at work Friday & we were talking about Daniel. Robin was so proud of her son & what he was doing. I was telling her how strong she is having to deal with a child over there now. We talked for quite awhile & before she left we both promised to have lunch together soon.

I am crying so hard, I can't believe this happened. I know lot's of soldiers have lost their lives over there, but this is the 1st one that I have known. I feel so helpless & my heart is aching so hard for Robin.

Please pray for Robin & her family. She has a very rough road ahead of her. Daniel was the oldest of 5 children, plus 2 stepsiblings.

Oh Janet, I am so sorry to hear that. How awful. Our condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to all of Daniel's family and friends. :grouphug: :grouphug:

I finally found the bowling designs, of course I wasn't looking for them now. :lmao:

We need to buy a new mattress. I think we've had ours for 12 or more years and it is really showing. I have been out looking, but can't seem to find any good review sites or resources online. I absolutely dread mattress shopping, but it has to be done.

Deb

I am no help..I needed a new mattress last year--i just went to a store and sat and laid down on all of them til i narrowed it down

so sad..they are in my prayers

Elizabeth-I can use Disney Store pins for trade at WDW right?

Yes! Those are the ones I bought to trade in a few weeks. DS traded some others from there on our December trip - no problem.:)

Debbie - Remember - Nothing personal, just business. It isn't like you are plotting to take this girl's job, and you aren't making up false stories to try to get her fired. She's not working out, and that has nothing to do with you. Nothing personal, just business.

Beth - Have you made sure Laura is reading the insert (with illustrations) from the tampon box? When I was 12 I thought I knew what I was doing, but I was doing it WRONG!:scared1: Once I read the directions everything was fine. And I highly recommend the Playtex ones with the plastic applicator. If they still make those. I haven't had TOM since DS was less than a year old because of the Depo Provera injections, so no telling what's on the market now.

I almost made a BIG boo-boo! I was looking at airfare and thought the fare for Orlando for August had dropped over $100 per ticket. I ran and grabbed my credit card and feverishly started booking. LUCKILY at the last minute I caught the fact that I put in the WRONG airport code and was booking us to go to Kansas City!:scared1: Orlando is MCO, Kansas City is MCI. I really should be more careful about that. At least I hadn't gotten to the point of no return!

Poor Brother is so sleepy! DH got stuck in a meeting and called me 15 minutes before DS had to be picked up to tell me I needed to go get DS! So Brother & Sister were plucked from their beds and tossed in the car. Brother never woke up. We went to DS's school, went through the carpool line, DS and I talked all the way back to the house, and at one point my phone rang. I was able to get Brother out of the car and back into bed without him ever waking up. Dadboss is signing Sister up for activities 4 afternoons a week, which will mean no more naps for either one of them.:scared: I am hoping I can convince him to scale back to 3 afternoons, and 2 of them should be the days that Sister finishes school at 12:30 so she can have a break between school & activity. Otherwise both kids are going to be demons by dinnertime.

How terrible for those poor girls. I hope that the father is found soon and they are able to say a proper goodbye. Makes you really think about the things we put off doing like wills. Prayers for Yvette's family.

What grade are your kids in? The boys haven't mentioned anything yet. I have however always been open about S E X. We had the talk the first time when I was pregnant with Colby. I felt that keeping an open discussion was better than waiting to do it. We've discussed it a couple of times since, but neither have ever asked any in depth questions. They know the physical act and that is pretty much it. My parents never discussed it with me and I always felt it must be shameful if they wouldn't talk about it. I don't want my kids to grow up with that point of view (obviously mine has changed). I also didn't want conversations to ever be ackward. I really hope that my boys will come to me with any questions or problems as they arise. I guess we all hope we do the right thing, but when will we truly know?

Deb

Cassidy is a freshman and we have very interesting conversations...I doubt there isn't anything she and I couldn't talk about.

I am struggling with Abi...5th grade...because she's just a different breed all together. I am sure we will talk but not the same way.

What Tia said!!

Deb, we have a memory foam mattress, Sensa 6.5
Very comfortable and John's back doesn't bother him anymore since we got it.

Poor thing.
pixiedust: that the tick doesn't have Lyme.

We found a deer tick on Lizzy last night. We got most of it out but had to take her to the pediatrician today to remove the rest. Gene said she was great about it and she's usually a bit of a weany. We brought in the tick so they are testing it to see if it carried Lyme. I can't beleive this happened in January.

Prayers for Yvette and family. That is just awful.
