Janet~ Sending :grouphug: and :wizard: for you and your friend Robin. What a horrible tragedy. I agree with everyone here, just listen to her.

Bernadette~ Sending :grouphug: and :wizard: to Yvette and her family. I pray they can find the father to help the girls say goodbye. I hope Lizzy is ok after her encounter with the tick.

Deb~ Sorry to hear about your cousin. :grouphug: and :wizard:

You obviously have earned the respect of the store manager and if taking this position will alleviate your stress then I say take it.

I am sending :wizard: and :grouphug: to all. I have been up since 2am and am barely hanging on. I will try to catch up a little more tomorrow. Good night!

night Robyn get some good sleep tonight.

try putting ovaltine in it so she gets chocolate milk?

I am the only one who makes her drink milk. The rest of the time she drinks juice, Gatorade, Italian soda, etc. I hate to put anything sugary into her milk because she needs to drink it plain.

What grade are your kids in? The boys haven't mentioned anything yet. I have however always been open about S E X. We had the talk the first time when I was pregnant with Colby. I felt that keeping an open discussion was better than waiting to do it. We've discussed it a couple of times since, but neither have ever asked any in depth questions. They know the physical act and that is pretty much it. My parents never discussed it with me and I always felt it must be shameful if they wouldn't talk about it. I don't want my kids to grow up with that point of view (obviously mine has changed). I also didn't want conversations to ever be ackward. I really hope that my boys will come to me with any questions or problems as they arise. I guess we all hope we do the right thing, but when will we truly know?

Deb

Katie is in 5th grade...well we talked right after she got home from school. She took it much better than I thought she would...she had some questions & was satisfied with my answers. Whew!:)

I agree, the kids should feel comfortable coming to us.

So I am feeling a little better today, but not terrific. I think part of it now is that I haven't been eating and I haven't had any caffeine so everything is out of whack. I had a cup of coffee this morning, then a sandwich and Pepsi for lunch thinking that would fix things, but now I actually feel worse.

Anne Marie - How are those ADRs coming? I realized this morning that if I want to do early entry I can't do the 8 AM breakfast ADRs. Duh! Early entry at MK is my favorite, so I may have to sacrifice the 8 AM Crystal Palace. We'll do a late breakfast at Chef Mickey's one morning, and if our other MK day ends up being early entry as well then we'll just do CS that morning. I can live without early entry at MGM because there isn't that much there that we HAVE to see. Early entry at the other 3 is very useful. But no telling what the actual EMH schedule will be by the time August rolls around.:confused3

Hope you are feeling back to yourself soon!:wizard:

I have what I think is a plan. I am avoiding the EMH's except if they offer MB's again which was great. I have..

okay, to bad her parents don't make her drink milk. I usually only let Olivia have soda when we are eating out.

My kids never get soda. Well, maybe a drink or 2 if I'm having some. They don't even ask for it. At home they drink milk, and a lot of it. If we go out they get chocolate milk.

I wonder if DS's school is going to do anything as far as educating the kids about puberty. Being that our schools are so crummy to begin with, topped off by the fact that there are so many zealots determined to make sure there is NO sex ed in any curriculum, I won't be surprised if there is nothing.

I presented a workshop for nannies once at a national conference - a "Caring for the Caregiver" sort of thing. I made goody bags with TONS of women's health info, including some brochures on STDs that I ordered from a catalog. (The social workers at the AIDS agency have all sorts of those.) That catalog had some REALLY cool sex ed curriculums for all different grade levels. Unfortunately I am not on their mailing list anymore. I guess I'll just have to go buy a book or two at Barnes & Noble and plunge in. DS doesn't trust DH to be serious about things, so his info is going to have to come from me. He needs to understand that this is NOT funny, and mistakes he makes in this arena can permanently change lives - including his - and the changes aren't usually good.

Need prayers for Lizzy's friend Yvette's family.
Those poor girls!!! They will never be able to celebrate Christmas again.

Gene & I have a will but we need to call the lawyer this week to update it.

That is terrible, I am so sorry.:grouphug:

I finally found the bowling designs, of course I wasn't looking for them now. :lmao:

DS can whip through a gallon of milk in a couple of days. He is allowed to have Sprite on occasion, but I prefer not. Especially with the braces, because that sugar will make white spots under the brackets. He hates chocolate, so that works to my advantage!

I can leave work on a Friday, and when I come back Monday afternoon there will be the EXACT same amount of milk in the jug. I am not sure what Sister brings in her lunch because Dadboss usually has her lunch ready when I come in, so I don't know if she has yogurt or cheese. That's why I am really firm about making her drink milk.

Deb---

I love the bowling designs...If I get home before the girls go to bed I will ask them if they like any of them in particular. I hate to be a pest but have you seen any of the girl characters bowling?? I couldn't find any at my lame attempt at designing!!

Oh my, where was she to get the tick? Glad you got it off!

That's actually the scariest part-in our yard or at least neighborhood. Joe & Emma have had ticks before but NOT deer ticks.

WOW-good for you. I guess I should think about mine. I'm thinking of doing 8/20 to 8/30 as the flights on Friday of Labor Day Weekend looked pricey.

Here's a few of my likely choices but I have no idea of what days to do what parks.

CP-breakfast for sure and maybe dinner. Maybe just a late breakfast into lunch.

1900 Park Fare-we had such a great time with a late breakfast ADR and DH loves the GF so I think we'll try it in its temp location with a preplated meal.

GG-dinner or maybe lunch.

Sci Fi lunch

Boatwrights at POR

DH would probably LOVE to do Raglan Road again

When I was pregnant with DS I drank a pint of chocolate milk every day. The one time I tried to give him chocolate milk he HATED it. And he refused to ever use that cup again! He has slowly come around to eating SOME chocolate. He likes Reese's, and he likes mini M&Ms. He also likes Tootsie Rolls, but there is no way he can have those with his braces. He does not like chocolate cake or ice cream, and he isn't a big fan of chocolate chip cookies. He will sometimes have a few Oreos.

My girls have a slight case of lactose intolerance...and I hate milk so I am a bad mommy when it comes to making sure they drink milk. They aren't big on pops so water is the main drink in our house.

I try to make sure they get milk in other ways when they aren't looking but I can only give them about 8 oz a day before we have sick kiddos on our hands!!
