I'm creating autograph pages and listening to my Disney Greatest CD's. I just made a revelation! I love "I'll make a man out of you" from Mulan. I just found out tonight that it was none other than my teen heart throb Donny Osmond. You were talking awhile back about posters and such on the wall. I read every Tiger Beat I could get my hands on for news of Donny, David Cassidy and Bobby Sherman. I had posters of all three when I was 12 or 13.

Just FYI, the Osmond family don't live too far from us now. When I was younger, we used to go play in the Osmond's yard (it was the biggest around, and Olive, the mom, was really nice to us). I never met Donny, but did meet Jimmy, and Wayne quite a bit. I learned a lot of sign language from them as one of the brothers is deaf (can't remember which one now). I was even invited to Marie's wedding reception, but didn't go, can't remember why. Oh well. They are a nice family, and really down to earth.

I had never thought of that part before. Terra had a lot of constipation problems from the day she started eating solid foods. I'll be the enlargement is why we had such a problem too. Her main problem though is the fear. Too many times it has been painful so she's afraid this time will be too. That makes her wait, it gets worse, and then it is painful...self fullfilling prophecy. Good luck to you both Tammi and dumby.

A couple of things on constipation from our pediatrician: always keep prunes in the house and offer them often. My kids think they are candy, they love them so much! Never offer chocolate pudding, bananas or cheese if your kids have constipation problems, that only makes it worse. Drink lots of water, and get them moving around a lot.

Those are tips we got when potty training our DS who had some of the same issues. He's through it now, and it was not pretty, but we all survived!

I am uploading some of my pictures right now. I only took about 200 pics, but took more video. My Sil on the other hand took over 1,000 pics, so I will have her get those to me.
POR was wonderful! We stayed in the mansions section, Acadian House. We requested Magnolia, but ended up with the other. We were really close to the North Depot, and were picked up first, and with a stroller that was great. Most of the time it was relatively quiet, but towards the end of the week it started to get busier.
The parks were busy too. Some waits were over and hour, so we fast passed those.
Animal Kingdom was busy the day we were there. I think because they were doing soft openings to Expedition Everest. And yes, I did ride it! It was a blast! One of my favorite rides now at WDW! :cheer2:
So much happened that I will have to do a trip report later.
My DD was so cute as we were leaving this morning. She was saying, "I love you Disney World, I can't wait to see you again!" and then she blew kisses to the "World" as we were leaving. I felt so happy that she had a good time.

Welcome home! And can I just say that the new picture of Leighanna in your signature is absolutely ADORABLE! I can't wait to see more! :goodvibes

You were invited to Marie's reception and could have met Donny and you didn't go? Are you nuts woman??!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

There you go again, mingling with celebrities! :rotfl:

Thanks for the pixie dust..... unfortunately, it hasn't made it this far yet I don't think :confused3

Even with Nyquil, I only slept about 3 hours until I woke up because I was too achy and couldn't breathe well. I took a few pumps of my inhalers, laid around until I could take more Tylenol, and jumped on the chance. It's pretty much all that's working.

I told Kyle we can't go out this afternoon, but that hopefully it will pass by this evening. He said that it wouldn't be a problem to miss what we were doing this afternoon, but I'm still bummed. I figure, I feel well for about 45 minutes after I take Tylenol and get the fever down a bit. So hopefully we can at least squeeze in dinner? Who knows..... we still have time, so maybe it won't be an issue.

I'm COMPLETELY relieved that we aren't doing what we initially planned. Miami has a "Charter Day Ball" every 3 years commemorating the signing of their charter. It's a blast.... students and alumni come, so the demographic is like college freshman through 80 year old couples that come every time. There's a big band and munchies at first, followed by a DJ later. We were supposed to go, but some doofus didn't get tickets  I think that's why we're actually DOING something for Valentine's day. :rotfl:

At least I'm not going to miss that! Dinner can be any day....

Have a good day DDAs! I'll be around on and off, as I doubt I'll be getting much accomplished today!

Thanks for the hugs and pixie dust for Kaelyn!! They must have worked! Her fever is down to 101 today. She had us scared though last night. No matter what we did, her fever was hanging around 105-106 :earseek: We even went and bought a new thermometer thinking that maybe the old one wasn't working properly, but it was. The Motrin didn't cut it, Tylenol didn't cut it, cool baths weren't working. Called the doc and she said to give her both at the same time. That finally worked.

Welcome home, Tom! Sounds like Leighanna had a wonderful time!! ::MinnieMo

Tink2020, I hope you feel better soon. :wizard:

Yay, Kate on the DL trip!

I can't remember what else I read. LOL

Has anyone heard from Bengal? Is she doing Ok with her pregnancy? :confused3 Just wondering.

Dawn (Bengalbelle) is doing okay...she has morning sickness, but she has spurts of energy here and there, so she's trying to lay off the computer and get some stuff done around the house and keep up with Christopher (his big birthday party with SNOW is next week). :goodvibes

:wizard: to everyone who is not feeling 100% today!

Dear dear Amy you obviously weren't paying attention in class as I shared that snippet weeks ago! :rolleyes1:

You must write 100 lines:

I must pay attention in the DDA

:teeth:
:rotfl:

Even though you admitted you skimmed over the potty-training posts, I will take my punishment Clare. Thank goodness, I don't have to write them out "long hand." :teeth:

Ramiro has had problems since the 1st grade.
He has been taking 2T's mineral oil & 2 multity vitamins after dinner.
Has been working.
Only problem is we can't seem to whin him off of it.
Everytime he stops taking it he has problems again.
He will be 12 next month.

I missed potty training talk? We are going through that issue now and I don't know what works. How far back do I need to look?

Last 10 pages or so should do it - there are quite a few messages mixed in with excitment over booked trips.

Did anyone watch Dancing with the Stars tonight?

We LOVED the Dirty Dancing Tribute - they nailed it didn't they!?!?

I have to say Dirty Dancing is my all time favorite show. Of course I don't watch much TV so I missed this last night. I sure would have loved to seen it.

We missed as we went for dinner and I always forget to watch stuff on Friday nights, watched some olympics ceremony when I got back, I really need to look at getting Tivo.

Thanks, Marti (and everyone else who sent "have funs" earlier). I may have to finally try a Dole Whip just for you. That's one thing I've never had before. Terra was so excited, I couldn't get her in bed before 10. I'm hoping that means she sleeps at least part of the drive to Providence in the morning.

If I forget to post it again before I head to bed...I'll talk to you all on Tuesday. And most of all...thank you Kate for the head's up on the DING fare and the autograph pages!

Have a wonderful magical trip and we will be thinking of you having fun at WDW. :wizard: :wizard:

OK.....tears in my eyes now. That is so sweet!!!! I have to admit that the moment I step on to Main Street in Magic Kingdom and see the Castle I always start crying. But then again I cry at Folgers commercials so maybe that is just me.

Lynn

Glad to read I am not the only over emotional one here, I cry at anything happy or sad, it is so hard to go to teacher/parent meeting etc. The minute they say something good, there I go :rotfl2:

I am going to chime in here on the potty training talk

I hated when Julia potty trained - that means we have to try out EVERY public restroom we pass - my mom made me try the potty training in a day book - it didn't work - I tried everything - nothing worked

This is what I learned - when they are ready they are ready -

Julia started preschool - somewhat potty trained - she was in morning class -so I took her right before we left and then we went as soon as we got home - she knew how to go - she just got so wrapped up in what she was doing that she didn't -

her teachers knew she didn't always ask to go and about halfway through the class - would ask her if she needed to go - this worked out just fine - she had 2 accidents the first month of school and that was it - so the incentive of going to school was enough for her and I only forced the training in the school element - the rest I let come naturally for her -

she still wears pull ups at night -I talked to the doctor about it and he said that a child with energy as high as hers during the day will sleep sounder at night and not be able to wake herself up - he said they do not become concernd until 6 that someone wears a pull up at night

potty training just isn't something I ever stressed about - okay I don't stress about a lot of the things - because I know that when they are ready they will do it - and so far I haven't been wrong!!
