I need to get going, but I'll be back for a little while this afternoon.

PNO4TE said:I posted my last post at 12:40 a.m. At 1:00 I was calling 911. I had just gone from the kitchen into the living room when Bob went into the kitchen to let the dog out. I heard him say, "Elin... you are going to have to give me a hand. We have a problem." I went into the kitchen and the whole top of our stove was on fire. After trying to smother the fire with pot lids and having no luck, I ran into the laundry room and threw the breaker. I then called 911 and the fire dept. was here within 10 minutes. Damage to the stove is not too severe and the rest of the counter top is not bad either. But our house REEKS of smoke, even though they used their high powered fans to suck it out. I ate dinner out with friends tonight and Bob did not use the stove to cook his dinner. The fire marshall thinks it was probably a short in the burner.
Now, for some odd reason I am WIDE AWAKE and don't think I will sleep much tonight. Just had to come on here and "talk" to someone about it since Bob is as upset as I am.

Good morning, DDA!![]()
Today WILL be better. I have spoken. Make it a good one.
rosiejo said:It was me, and the answer is of course yes. I may have to borrow Jen's flowers too.
rosiejo said:I keep thinking the same thing. When I got to MK on my trip I'm going to stop by that bench, to say hi to June and to have my picture taken in her honour. And if I can find a purple rose I will take one for her.

She said that a tea party with all her Disney friends, would sure to make any one happy. And you know what it did.

I told her that Batman wasn't part of Disney. She said that he was there for me. I asked her why? She said he is a superhero, and that I was her superdad.

God sure knew what he was doing the day Leighanna was born.

Debbie-I love your new signature.
Tom-what a special little girl you have!
Beth/Deb-do you know what age boyscout starts? Joe was asking me about it tonight. He's still too young isn't he?
Joe's first full day is tomorrow. I wonder how Emma will handle that.
Good night all.
Christi, You also must remember there is one big difference between you and I. You have 4 kids and I have none. Taking care of those kids whether they are in school or not takes up an incredible amount of your energy.Eeyorecln said:I'm impressed. I wish I could be that full of life. Lately I feel as if I have absolutely no energy. I know I'm overdue to have my thyroid checked but I feel like it's more than that maybe just the effect of stress or the 3 hours of sleep a night. I am going to the doctor in a couple weeks maybe I'll get some answers then.

Steffy said:Fire is my biggest fear. Yes, I'm still awake. I'm going to be worthless in a few hours. Just worthless. Can't sleep either.
I'm so glad you were still up and saw the fire. This has such a better result!!!
So glad you two are okay. I couldn't handle anymore bad news.
One of my DGD's friend's uncle has died, they suspect foul play. What a day I've had. I couldn't lose you too.![]()
