I had dreams about June all night last night. Every time I'd wake up from one, I'd fall asleep and have another one. They were all happy dreams, though. It is strange to dream about someone that you have never even met.

But it really doesn't feel like we haven't met does it?

Preferably not, I already have capris some of which are actually petite pants. I need pants though. Maybe I will have to sew ribbons on the bottom to make them long enough. Or perhaps I will have to sew my own pants. Why is it so hard to find plus size pants with a 34 inch inseam??

It doesn't seem to make sense, does it? I remember when I was in much smaller pants (6-8), I had to buy short/petite. When I'm in plus size, though, I need the regular. Short/petite are just too short.

I posted my last post at 12:40 a.m. At 1:00 I was calling 911. I had just gone from the kitchen into the living room when Bob went into the kitchen to let the dog out. I heard him say, "Elin... you are going to have to give me a hand. We have a problem." I went into the kitchen and the whole top of our stove was on fire. After trying to smother the fire with pot lids and having no luck, I ran into the laundry room and threw the breaker. I then called 911 and the fire dept. was here within 10 minutes. Damage to the stove is not too severe and the rest of the counter top is not bad either. But our house REEKS of smoke, even though they used their high powered fans to suck it out. I ate dinner out with friends tonight and Bob did not use the stove to cook his dinner. The fire marshall thinks it was probably a short in the burner.

Now, for some odd reason I am WIDE AWAKE and don't think I will sleep much tonight. Just had to come on here and "talk" to someone about it since Bob is as upset as I am.

That is so SCARY! What if you hadn't been awake? I am glad that the damage was minimal.

And for the smoke smell to clear.

Morning DDA! All caught up! I'm actually debating going into work this morning...I have a dr's appt at 11am and am scheduled at 9am. No matter what, I get an occurance from work, so what's the point going in at 9 and leaving if I'll get an occurance anyways right?

Elin - I hope your still trying to figure out your snooze button...meaning I hope you were able to get some sleep last night... for the smoke smell to go away!

Unfortunately, I am also working on getting things ready for a preschool meeting this morning (nothing like waiting until the last minute), and I have to go wake Miles for school.

Looks like I won't be much help in the milestone department...even if we needed only a few posts.

Thank goodness you are both OK and that you guys were up when this happened.

You know what? I am not normally a superstitious person. But I am NEVER up at that time. It was thinking about June and reminiscing that had me awake and DISing later than normal. So, maybe she was looking out for me. That is what I intend to think anyway.

I posted this to June and her family on her thread, but wanted to leave it here as well...

June -- you were an inspiration to us all. One of my favorite moments from our last WDW trip was taking my picture at "your" Goofy bench. There will be lots of smiles and tears at that bench in the future while we remember and celebrate the life of a great lady.
