It doesn't seem to make sense, does it? I remember when I was in much smaller pants (6-8), I had to buy short/petite. When I'm in plus size, though, I need the regular. Short/petite are just too short.

Beth
Some places sell the regular size pants in lengths up to 36 inches Gap has them, but in the plus sizes most only go up to 31", that just ain't gonna work. Hopefully I won't have to buy plus sizes much longer and it won't be an issue. :thumbsup2

I had dreams about June all night last night. Every time I'd wake up from one, I'd fall asleep and have another one. They were all happy dreams, though. It is strange to dream about someone that you have never even met.
You might have last night, but I had them early Wednesday morning before I even knew she had passed. So I had that eerie feeling it might have happened. Then when I came inside and had 3 missed calls from DDA members and was only outside for 30 minutes I figured it had to be that.

Cub scouts start in first grade. I think that is later than girl scouts.

Deb
Yep, Girl Scouts start in Kindergarten, although some councils were running pilot programs for preschool programs but national told them to discontinue them.

I posted my last post at 12:40 a.m. At 1:00 I was calling 911. I had just gone from the kitchen into the living room when Bob went into the kitchen to let the dog out. I heard him say, "Elin... you are going to have to give me a hand. We have a problem." I went into the kitchen and the whole top of our stove was on fire. After trying to smother the fire with pot lids and having no luck, I ran into the laundry room and threw the breaker. I then called 911 and the fire dept. was here within 10 minutes. Damage to the stove is not too severe and the rest of the counter top is not bad either. But our house REEKS of smoke, even though they used their high powered fans to suck it out. I ate dinner out with friends tonight and Bob did not use the stove to cook his dinner. The fire marshall thinks it was probably a short in the burner.

Now, for some odd reason I am WIDE AWAKE and don't think I will sleep much tonight. Just had to come on here and "talk" to someone about it since Bob is as upset as I am.

YIKES!!! Glad you are safe.....what a topper to the day.

Were you planning on redoing the kitchen and the stove gave you a head start? :) I hope the repairs are done quickly.

I'm caught up again and have all of the contact info on a spreadsheet. I'm sending it off to Vicki shortly to add what she has. If anyone else would like to be included just PM me. I'd like to get it done before I leave on Saturday (just a day trip) in the event that it could be needed ( :grouphug: not). For anyone that is away I will update as the info comes in.

Thank goodness you are okay and your house is okay -

If the smell gets too bad - you could always go over to Tammi's - I know she would be happy to see you and take you in

She doesn't appear to get crabby when you wake her up - although I never woke her up in the middle of the night!! ;)

I am having trouble sleeping too - I am tired but can't sleep - getting ready to try again!!

PT sucks and now my leg hurts!!!

A lot of my friends have said that PT sucks.....hope it stops sucking so bad and your knee gets better quickly.

p.s. good to "see" you back all the time!!

I'm almost to a personal milestone so I'll have to bore you with trivial things.

At yesterday's pediatric appoint my boys behaved poorly. I must say that I was so embarassed as they are always well behaved in public. So the doctor asks Nick what grade he is in and he says "sixth" he's in fifth. He asked him if he still attended the same school he replied "no". I wanted to smack him. When asked what he did all summer he responded video games and tv. I guess he forgot about camping for 4 weeks with no video games. Do you always wear your seat belt "no". I figure that Social Services will be in here any moment now hauling them away from their clearly incompetent mother. I think that they were just nervous about having to have their testicles checked as that is all they talked about for days before the appointment. I tried to tell them that it was just a normal thing and that girls have it much worse, but I have no other way to explain their behavior. They really thought they were being funny :furious: It's a good thing that the pediatrician has known us since we were kids or I'd be in trouble. I explained to the kids how what they said made me look bad and they were very sorry and didn't realized, but still I as so embarassed.

Within the last week, someone posted that they didn't know why, but they woke up in the night and knew they needed to send out prayers. Who was it and which night was it? I'll let you know why after I figure out if my suspicions are correct.
That was Theresa - I was thinking about that too!!!

It was me...and I was up from 1 to about 2 my time (mountain time) Sunday morning.

What's up?

Yesterday the 2 little ones were horrible and fought all day long, so far it's been better today. I think I may have just jinxed myself.

Deb,
I wouldn't sweat it. I am sure the kids dr has seen it before. I bet they were nervous bout having that kind of exam & thats why they were stressing. I feel your pain, you love them but sometimes you could just explode!

Preferably not, I already have capris some of which are actually petite pants. I need pants though. Maybe I will have to sew ribbons on the bottom to make them long enough. Or perhaps I will have to sew my own pants. :confused3 Why is it so hard to find plus size pants with a 34 inch inseam?? :confused3 :sad2:

Becky-have you tried Eddie Bauer or J Jill? They both have talls in larger sizes. I am fortunate to have outlets for both not too far from me and have been able to find some good buys there.

I am off to get Sophie ready for Kindergarten now...my last baby is going to real school & I am .

Dana is taking me for lunch after we put her on the bus to cheer me up but I am going to miss having my baby around all day. She is a real "mommy's girl".
Check back later.

For those of you who've never been to Whispering Canyon Cafe, I had no choice whether or not I wanted to be the Statue of Liberty. :rotfl2: I was sitting there and next second I know someone is playing in my hair. It was the waitress, turns out she is stuffing the straws into my ponytail, but I honestly had not idea what she had done to me. Next thing she takes my camera and is telling me to hold up my milkshake like the statue of Liberty and that is what results. :thumbsup2 Unfortunately straw papers and rain don't mix, as I left the straws in my hair when I left the Wilderness lodge and it was raining.

so you had ready made spit wads and shooters, huh? :rotfl:

I am staying in bed today

I might have to get up to eat and go see my kids tonight but other than than - I am not moving!! My knee is very angry with me!!

My kids are at my mom's this week - which is a good thing except Nick has made the decision that I am not his mom anymore - my mom is - which is a little difficult - last night when I left you should have seen the panic in Julia's eyes when she asked "do I have to go with you?"

But that's okay b/c when Nick fell and got hurt last night it was still his mommy he ran to!!!!
