I am off to get Sophie ready for Kindergarten now...my last baby is going to real school & I am .

Dana is taking me for lunch after we put her on the bus to cheer me up but I am going to miss having my baby around all day. She is a real "mommy's girl".
Check back later.

So it's all day kindergarten...that's rough on mommies!!

You will survive Anne Marie....but I am sure there will be tears.

I posted my last post at 12:40 a.m. At 1:00 I was calling 911. I had just gone from the kitchen into the living room when Bob went into the kitchen to let the dog out. I heard him say, "Elin... you are going to have to give me a hand. We have a problem." I went into the kitchen and the whole top of our stove was on fire. After trying to smother the fire with pot lids and having no luck, I ran into the laundry room and threw the breaker. I then called 911 and the fire dept. was here within 10 minutes. Damage to the stove is not too severe and the rest of the counter top is not bad either. But our house REEKS of smoke, even though they used their high powered fans to suck it out. I ate dinner out with friends tonight and Bob did not use the stove to cook his dinner. The fire marshall thinks it was probably a short in the burner.

Now, for some odd reason I am WIDE AWAKE and don't think I will sleep much tonight. Just had to come on here and "talk" to someone about it since Bob is as upset as I am.
OMG!! Hugs and prayers for you! You poor thing!!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I remember that like it was yesterday....

This year I cried taking Kirsten to 2nd grade...(Bill thought I was nuts) must have been residual Jonathan going to college feelings

Take care!!

For those of you who may be wondering.....June was one of the ones I was asked to specifically pray for. I was asked to pray her home....so I did. :guilty:
I so wanted to come on here and tell everybody about it, it was also one I was so hoping wouldn't happen. Though I know June is home and happy and healthy, it's not an experience I want to ever happen again.

Your oldest daughter is how old? Being a grandma is the best, we get to spoil him rotten, (and we do) and if he's being bad he goes home with his parents! Gotta love it!

The answer was the blue _ _ _ _ tie dye lady....gotta go with what they remember!! :teeth:

You're a Disney Elite! You're a true Disney fan. You know all the details and you'vespent a lot of time obsessing over the hidden mickeys in Walt's earliest films. Yay for you. You're smart and you knowwhat's good in the world of Disney. Some might call you obsessive, but we know better. There are plenty of people like you in the world. You just have to search them out.

I'm almost to a personal milestone so I'll have to bore you with trivial things.

At yesterday's pediatric appoint my boys behaved poorly. I must say that I was so embarassed as they are always well behaved in public. So the doctor asks Nick what grade he is in and he says "sixth" he's in fifth. He asked him if he still attended the same school he replied "no". I wanted to smack him. When asked what he did all summer he responded video games and tv. I guess he forgot about camping for 4 weeks with no video games. Do you always wear your seat belt "no". I figure that Social Services will be in here any moment now hauling them away from their clearly incompetent mother. I think that they were just nervous about having to have their testicles checked as that is all they talked about for days before the appointment. I tried to tell them that it was just a normal thing and that girls have it much worse, but I have no other way to explain their behavior. They really thought they were being funny :furious: It's a good thing that the pediatrician has known us since we were kids or I'd be in trouble. I explained to the kids how what they said made me look bad and they were very sorry and didn't realized, but still I as so embarassed.

Deb

:confused3 Kids, gotta luv em!

Cub Scouts starts with Tiger Cubs in 1st grade. Miles had his first year last year. It changes to Boy Scouts sometime around the middle of 5th grade. Matthew is on track to have his Eagle by the end of the school year if he doesn't start slacking off.

Good luck with Joe's first full day! I hope Emma isn't too sad.

Thanks Beth. I thought it didn't start til 1st grade.

WOW-Congrats to Matthew!

I was actually a Boy Scout in high school-an Explorer-coed division of Boy Scouts. We were a High Adventure post. We went backpacking in the White Mountains in NH nearly every month and 1 summer we did a canoe trip in Maine. I have some great memories.

Emma slept through Joe's departure. :teeth: He was SOOOOO excited! Hope he makes it through his long day OK. The bus comes at 8:40 and they get home at 3:50. It's gonna take him a few weeks to get used to his new schedule.

Cassidy is 14......I don't think I want her continuing the cycle...my mom had me right before she turned 20...I was 20 when I had Cassidy. Cassidy wants to work for NASA or be a hollywood starlet.....I think she has a better chance with NASA. :teeth:

Deb

Yep---Lizzie started Daisys in Kindergarten that is why Joe thinks he should be able to start Boy Scouts. Once he gets used to his full day schedule I'm going to look into Karate for him. I think he'd really like that too.

whew

I got worried taking this one - but I passed!! :teeth:

Thanks, we sure think she is precious.

After trying and waiting 17 years for a child, God gave us more than we could have even imagined. We are so blessed.

Wow! 17 years! I thought DH and I had a rough time with 7 years of trying and waiting! You definitely were blessed!

Kate & Kelli-great photos!

Debbie-I love your new signature.

Tom-what a special little girl you have!

Beth/Deb-do you know what age boyscout starts? Joe was asking me about it tonight. He's still too young isn't he?

Joe's first full day is tomorrow. I wonder how Emma will handle that.

Good night all.

I know that Cub scouts start at 8. I think Boy Scouts is 11 or 12. Not sure, though.
