After the character greeting we resumed our walk over to Spaceship Earth. Right then I received a text that said our neighbors from home were on the monorail heading over to Epcot at that exact moment. This made my boys very happy. This particular neighbor is my boys constant playmate when they are home. In fact we know at 9:00 on Saturday morning the doorbell will ring and this kid will be ready to play. (No friends until after 9:00.) Anyway, MBDF (My Boys Disney Friend) had a basketball tournament this week at Wide World of Sports. So we knew they were around, but we didnt know if wed get to meet up with them because they were balancing the tournament plus they were there with family. So my boys were very happy when I said we were meeting them at Spaceship Earth. It didnt take too long for them to arrive and we happily said hello. The boys immediately wanted to get their ride on, but I insisted on a picture first. None of them look too thrilled, but that is mostly because I made them stop to take a picture.

So first ride was Spaceship Earth because we were right there. After that they wanted to head for Test Track. MDBFs mom had a boot on her foot so they had a GAC card. Because of this they didnt have to wait in the stand by line and could take up to six people. So MDBFs dad volunteered to stay back and the rest of us headed to Test Track. I felt bad leaving MDBFs dad behind, but MDBFs mom informed me she was pretty sure he was going to get a snack and didnt mind missing Test Track one little bit. This was our first time on the new Test Track. Before you get to the ride you get to design a car. This was actually kind of fun. Here is the car Wendy and I designed.

Fancy, huh? That may be the best part of the ride. I really wasnt impressed with the revamp. Same track, but its like were going through some sort of computer simulation and frankly, it doesnt make much sense. I miss the old ride. Though the outside part is still the same and that is kind of fun. If nothing else, this makes the choice between Soarin and Test Track at rope drop much easier. Soarin will now win every time and Test Track is something well do if fastpass times are convenient or the line is short. The boys had fun on the ride together. Here is the redneck shot.

After Test Track the boys wanted another ride and I suggested the Mexico ride so we could sing along with the Three Cabelleros. The thing I remember best about this ride is the discussion I had with MBDFs mom. They have been at Christmas many times. We are going for the first time this Christmas. So I was asking if even this ride gets lines (since I have never had to wait for the Donald ride.) She said the line gets so long it snakes back to the Pavillion entrance. At that moment I determined we may not be riding much at Christmas. After the ride the boys decided they wanted to do a Phineas and Ferb mission. I wanted dinner so I suggested we do the Norway mission because Id never been to the Norway counter service and I really wanted to try the legendary school bread. MBDFs dad kindly escorted the boys around Norway for their mission while us girls went and got dinner from Norway.

This was a very yummy dinner. We shared the apple and ham sandwich, a chocolate pretzel, and yes the legendary school bread.

And yes, it was delicious. That will not be the last school bread I ever have. The boys finished their mission and joined us for their dinner. By the time we were done eating, it was closing time. So we said goodbye to our neighbors and headed back to the Boardwalk. The kids were all getting tired and didnt want to stay for Illuminations which was just getting started. So I agreed to leave, but told them we had to walk slowly through the World Showcase. So we strolled through World Showcase while Illuminations was going on. I loved it. The music was beautiful. It was a lovely summer night in Epcot and we stopped to watch the big fireworks.

Just about the time it was over we were at the International Gateway. While everyone else fought the crowds back to the front entrance we strolled on the gorgeous Boardwalk.

Oh, how I love the Boardwalk location. Before we knew it we were back in our room and settling in for our Disney Dreams.
