Frustrating day yesterday. After 10 years we had to cancel the delivery of our Sunday newspaper with the Miami Herald. I called and had the account closed back on the 29th as they just stopped delivering the paper the last 3 weekends and no one could tell me why. When I called to cancel, the rep didn't listen to a word I was saying. He said he was sorry to see me go and I had to remind the rep that the reason we were leaving is because we weren't getting the PAPER, geez!! Then yesterday, I had to call customer no service again for a status of my refund and the rep I spoke with gave me a much, much lower refund amount than I was expecting, telling me that when I place a vacation hold (which I have done 4 times since Oct) that I don't get refunded for that amount...what? I told her it clearly states on the cancellation email - hold and credit to your account. Then she wanted to argue with me that any vacation hold over 14 days gets no refund and that my last vacation (when we were on the cruise) was for 14 days, thus no refund. BTW, the hold was from Feb 28-Mar 6 - 7 days. Apparently they don't need to know how to COUNT either. ANYWAY, the credit I WAS expecting showed up on my CC yesterday afternoon so I don't know what in the WORLD this woman was talking about. The icing on the cake was when another rep called the house last night and asked me if we were ready to restart our subscription- WHAT??? Boy did I give her an earful....
