The Countdown to 2013 - Join me! List Started!

Count me in! We're looking at October 7 - 18, 2013 for our 10 year anniversary trip...HOPEFULLY staying at BLT with an MK view!

I'm already starting to make a list of places to eat!

I sooo feel your pain! I really want to stay at BLT, just because I want that MK view...but we love CSR and want to go back there..... I'm always second guessing my decisions!

Woo hoo it is 2012, only one more year to go. Since it is a surprise trip I am trying to keep my non stop dis chatter to a minimum and it is already hard. How will I ever make it until December to tell them?

So you can add me to the 2013 list, most likely for May! Not sure where we will stay yet (last time we stayed off-site, but thinking we want to try on-site this time! We'll see!).

So I realize you can book 500 days out for room-only on the phone, but at what point can you go about booking online typically?

I wanna play, I wanna play!! Our dates are June 8th-12th @ AKL!! I am SO excited about that! Only done Values or SOG, but as a graduation gift to myself, I chose the AKL! DS will be finishing up Pre-K that year and that's the reason for the June dates.

A friend of mine turned me on to renting points from DVC members. You have more space and the prices end up not being too unreasonable.

I can definitely see doing this at some point. The AKL 2 bedroom value seems like a great deal

I can't remember the exact number off the top of my head now, but when we were planning our trip for this coming July, we priced out a week at CSR and then compared it with renting studio rooms at OKW...the price difference is about $700 in favor of OKW. I love love love CSR but that $700 spoke for itself.

If the rumors are true and WDW is going to keep cutting back on discounts it seems like something we will likely do.

Oh and I see you are from Ct as well, DH works construction so I am hoping Construction keeps picking up for the sake of our trip

My DH was just talking about our WDW trip next year. It was the first time I realized that July 2013 IS next year!!!! I hope I can wait that long.

Ok.....well....was thinking again and now I'm torn. We ARE going in 2013 but now I'm trying to decide on going in March during our kids spring break or....waiting til May and leave right after the last day of school and go longer...maybe 1 1/2 weeks. Do WDW and then head to Vero Beach. Ooohhhhh that sounds like a great idea.

So you better put me on the list as undecided

Our trip was booked for November 2012, but I was just told my DH couldn't have the time off. We are moving it to January 2013. The dates will most 1/6/2013-1/11/2013. Oh well, at least I'll be at WDW on my birthday.

We're going in late November, just not exactly sure of the dates yet (we'll book next January). I'm trying to talk the family into staying somewhere different this time, but seeing how I've been outnumbered for the last few years, we'll probably be at the POP again. I love it there, but I really want to try something different. I really want to try CSR again, but we'll see.

Hello again Mrs. Grumpy,
I know you said I could book room only 499 days out, and then upgrade to a package if free dining comes out, which is ultimately what I am looking for.
I am looking into using AAA, as we will be driving and they have some benefits that appeal to me. What are your thoughts on this? I am a little leary giving up the control of the process of trying to change a booking to either add FD or a room discount. Do you think this is worth it, or should I just do the work myself?
