So much for "pre-conditions"... During the campaign Obama backpedaled away from his earlier comments about meeting with hostile governments without pre-conditions. In the case of Hamas it was said that the Obama administration would only meet with them if "it renounces terrorism, recognizes Israel's right to exist and agrees to abide by past agreements". Well, it looks like that was a bit of an "un-truth". In a British Arabic language newspaper, Dr. Ahmad Yousef, a political adviser to the prime minister of the Hamas-led Palestinian government has said that Obama advisers held a secret meeting with Hamas officials in Gaza before the election and the two groups they remained in contact since. "We were in contact with a number of Obama's aides through the Internet, and later met with some of them in Gaza, but they advised us not to reveal this information as it may influence the elections or become manipulated by McCain's campaign"
Are you really surprised? Obama made secret promises out of his wazoo to who knows who and America will pay for it.
