Hi everyone:

I got banned! Right before the election! I've followed along on your comments since then, and as I predicted the posters on the Conservative Thread are right back to their happy, productive, fulfilling lives. I LOVE CONSERVATIVES!!

So, the election…

I'm so glad it's over, and actually so relieved I get to take the next 4 years off from defending my president, his policies, the war, etc. It all belongs to President Obama now, and I get to sit back and say, "Hey, how's that Obama presidency workin' out for ya'?" every time another business closes, another 10,000 jobs get lost, another chunk of change disappears from our paychecks, another terrorist threat pops up, etc.

I was especially amused today when Team Obama announced that they won't be rolling back any of Bush's executive orders on terrorist questioning, terrorist surveillance, etc. You know, all the stuff they were going to impeach Bush for. Now, Obama has seen 1 or 2 daily security briefings, and he's like "Oh, crap. Ummmmm, yeah, the bad guys are kinda bad. Scary, even. That Bush guy, he was a freakin' genius!" And now Russia is meeting with Cuba, forming a groovy alliance and all. Good times.

Yup. I'm settling into my comfiest chair, with a nice hot cup of coffee, and I'm gonna watch the show. It's going to be quite interesting, and such a disappointment, I think, for a whole bunch of folks walking around with Kool-Aid mustaches. How do you suppose they'll handle the disappointment?

I just thought it was funny that we said the same thing.

This is OT, but... I know we all know it can get testy over here on the CB, but I was just reading the Dancing with the Stars board over at the ABC website and... yeesh!

10 page thread arguing whether the Houghs (Derek and Julianne) did better tonight in their routine than the Schwimmers (Lacey and Benji). All kinds of backstory about Benji, Lacey and their mother saying nasty stuff about Julianne in 2007. And on, and on, and ON.

Seriously, people have the time and inclination to argue about this stuff? Alrighty then.

Julianne is my favorite pro, and Derek is probably my second favorite pro. I also like Mark Ballas a lot. So, I'm very biased, but... the Julianne/Derek routine was awesome!

k...just saw the schwimmers, and that was pretty kewl choreography, and they've got a lot of quirky personality that's very entertaining. still waiting for the houghs, but i think that, technically and traditionally speaking, they are the best pros on the show. still waiting to see their bro/sis dance.

Hi everyone. Just checking in, we just got home tonight from our WDW trip, we had a great time and we're all completely exhausted!! I'm going to try and catch up a bit. MK was all decorated for Christmas and we had a blast, November is a great time to visit.

Tonight I went to my first Young Republicans meeting - it was cool...

Sounds great but if I change party I'd have to go to the Old Republican meetings.

oh, I'm an old Republican myself - I'm just glad I didn't get carded! [although I think I might have outed myself when I started talking about Clinton winning in 1992 - most of those there would have been 10!]
