Me too....but I'm not doing very well...:rotfl2:

I got home at 7:45 - said I would check the computer for 30 minutes then do the many things that are my list because I'm always on the computer. Now, it's almost 11 and where am I? Still on the computer...:sad2:

Hey, AP, I must have missed a post from you in the chaos (man we talk a lot). Does SD's post above mean that things went well with your issue at work? I really hope so.

Michelle, I think she called it a night but, YES, dude got fired! Woo hoo!!!

By the way, you and I were born the same year and you're a grandmother and I own two dogs...what's up with that?!!?

SorcererDonald16;28653138]that they were moose hot dogs. :scared: I know it's a regional thing, but I still can't get over the fact that people eat moose. :rotfl:
makes me think of boris and natasha badenov and rocky j. squirrel....

Me! Not thrilled with the cast this season though. I guess I want Cody to win, or Brooke. Can't really complain though, seeing as my fave won three seasons in a row (Apollo, Helio, and then Kristi).
oh hooray! helio was fab...this season i'm rooting for lance bass...brooke's feet are not deliberate enough for me.

WOW! :scared1: That is scary. I had heard the earlier reports, about the tax for 401K, but today was honestly the first I heard about the whole 50/50 thing.

Anymore, I would not doubt anything. I mean who would have thought that we would be sitting here discussing a Jr. Senator with barely any experience (and I am being generous imo) being the President Elect?

As my DH says, "I need to go to bed, maybe I will be able to wake up and tell you about this horrible nightmare I had about the election".

As a mom that has been through it twice; I know where you are coming from. It sounds like your DS is responsible and that you have done a good job teaching him by letting him drive a lot. I will offer my prayers anyway. :)

It is a tough day, ain't it? Kinda like the first day of Kindergarten. :grouphug:

This is OT, but... Hi, neighbor! I'm not too far away from you in the Old Dominion.

And no matter what everyone tries to tell us, we Virginians are so much cooler than everyone else here. :snooty:

;) :rotfl:

 Hey neighbor! You are right, we Virginians are much much cooler...but don't tell anyone, it's a secret remember? :upsidedow :rotfl:

Thanks, SD concerning the books! If I ever pull myself away from the DIS, I'll read more and more. I seem to have that addiction.

Thanks for the support! My exact thought when he drove away was this feels just like when I left him in kindergarten.

He is just in from rehearsal - thanks for the prayers! He walked in and asked if I cried. I could honestly say no but I didn't tell him I had to call my best friend and let her talk me down!

AP I am so glad it went well! Still a trying day for you I am sure.

This whole 401K thing and 50/50 things is unnerving. We are deciding what to do with ours.

Did anyone see SF get close to the endzone - only 11 seconds left.

My youngest is on his segment 1 permit. I have to say he's doing better than My DD did! Except for the garbage can making my car look "hockeymom tough", we haven't had any other incident. Meanwhile, the almost 23 year old found another deer to run into. I swear she's like a deer magnet!:grouphug: :grouphug:

Please say it isn't so!

There was day, I could say this was all rubbish, but those days are gone. I don't think anything is too far fetched....when it comes to what's coming our way. bo and his bunch are scary and in total control.

My DS got his drivers license today! :woohoo: He has had a permit since last Thanksgiving. And we have had him behind the wheel as often as possible in all kinds of weather and traffic. It payed off today! I admit it was really a hard Mom moment to watch him drive off to school though. :scared: I don't mind extra prayers for his safety from my Dis buddies! ;)

Absolutely I will remember your DS in my prayers. My oldest just got his license a year ago, now my second oldest has his permit. I still peek out the window watching my older son leave in the morning on the way to college...and say a prayer for safety...

I think it was on GretaWire (her blog on the FNC site) that they were moose hot dogs. :scared: I know it's a regional thing, but I still can't get over the fact that people eat moose. So says the grilled chicken person and non-adventurous eater, anyway. :rotfl:

Almost everybody eats moose up here. Most people hunt. We don't, though. Sometimes friends give us some of their moose meat. It really is pretty good. And I'm pretty squeamish. Lots of people hunt and fish, and they keep themselves stocked pretty well with moose and salmon.

LOL! Probably doesn't help that I keep sending you messages! :rotfl2:

Yeah!:cool1:

I had heard something about that. :scared1:

A number of us were surprised yesterday to hear that Republican Minority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) was stepping down from his leadership position in the House. Congressman Blunt, widely respected as a man of wisdom and experience, has been a good friend to me and to the family. He was the main architect of several of the GOP's biggest legislative successes this year, including provisions that protect U.S. taxpayers. It is expected that Congressman Eric Cantor (R-Va.) will succeed Blunt as Whip, who we believe would be a good choice. Rep. Adam Putnam (R-Fla.) is also stepping aside from the third highest ranking minority position, Republican Conference Chairman, and may well be replaced by a good friend, the well-respected Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.). Finally, there is talk that former Maryland Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele is in line to take over the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee. Each of these conservatives has shown a commitment to the values that were once the GOP's guiding light. By embracing these leaders, perhaps the Republican Party will rediscover its true voice and return to the fundamental principles that brought it such success.

Did the dear total the car? Is she ok?

Arizona wins! Good job Curt!

I'm so sorry I didn't finish that story!

She's been fine all three times. I guess she heard us when we lectured for years NOT to swerve, you'll hit a tree or another car. The first time her car got a new hood and front fender, the second time her car was totalled, and this time just some grill damage and her side mirror. It was night and she knew no one was behind her so she slammed the brakes and "mostly" missed it. The totalled/second incident was on Nov 15th, the opening of gun deer. Guess who DID NOT get a deer that season? LOL He should have stayed home instead of going to the UP!
