River: River nodded while still looking down. She said "okay, if you say so. But if you aren't, you know you can always..." she said letting her voice trail off. She was going to add 'come to me' but decided not to since Max was insisting she was fine and she didn't want to upset her more, so instead she just said "Nevermind".

Max: Max didn't reply with words, but she gave River a brief nod. She really didn't deserve River's kindness or anyone else's. She looked around the room, clearly bored.

Daniel: Daniel shoved his hands in his pockets and tried a smile. "So......"

OOC: I don't know what to do now......the next thing I had planned was after the parents had left......

River: River saw her grandma re-enter the room. She knew that she needed to tell her about knowing of her parents before she left, she figured now was as good a time as any. She looked at Daniel "I'm going to tell her I know about my parents" she said clearly worried "wish me luck?" she said trying to smile but her stomach was in knots.

River: River saw her grandma re-enter the room. She knew that she needed to tell her about knowing of her parents before she left, she figured now was as good a time as any. She looked at Daniel "I'm going to tell her I know about my parents" she said clearly worried "wish me luck?" she said trying to smile but her stomach was in knots.

Daniel: "Good luck. I love you," he said, hoping to make her feel okay.

Max: Max turned around, and spotted Daniel's family. "Hey Daniel, your groups' over there."

Daniel: Daniel looked to where Max was looking. "Oh, so they are."

River: River tried again to smile "I love you too" she said glad he had said it. She walked over to her grandma clearly worried "Um, grandma, I need to talk to you about something" she said not knowing how to lead into it.

Rose: Rose looked at her granddaughter worried. She knew that something was amiss "What is it River?" she asked.

River: "Umm. you might want to sit down" she said playing with her braid nervously.

Rose: Rose sat and then froze she said "River, is this about your parents, I know you want to know about them. That you think it will be okay, and you won't make the same mistakes they did. But I don't think that's right, you're too young, and with powers comes an extreme responsibility. A responsibility that your mother couldn't handle, and she caused my son to make the fall with her."

River: River sat trying not to let what her grandmother was saying upset her. She looked down, and then forced herself to look up looking her grandma in the eyes. "See, that's the thing grandma, I don't want to know anything about my parents. Because, well, I already know everything" she said talking slowly and trying to keep her voice steady.

Rose: Rose let out a deep sigh. "Did Elizabeth tell you?" she asked referring to professor Collins. Watching her granddaughter nod she said "so, now you understand that you must learn to control your powers, in order to stay safe."

River: River couldn't lie, she shook her head no. "no, I learn that I want to be just like my parents, of course I hope not to lose my life, but I want to use my powers for good. My parents were heroes, they saved people, I plan to do the same thing" She said being firm but respectful. Then she looked at her grandma who now had tears brimming her eyes "I love you grandma, I love you so much, and I really am sorry, I know this isn't what you wanted. But it's what I have to do."

Rose: Rose smiled at her granddaughter who was now looking at the floor "I love you too, and you're right, I'd rather have you keep your powers a secret and keep yourself safe. But.." she said changing her tone of voice "I shouldn't have expected you to do so. River, you are a remarkable young woman, and I should not have kept anything from you, I was really only trying to do the best for you. But I realize now, that the way I did it was wrong" she paused "your parents would be very proud of you" she added.

River: River smiled, "thank you" she said letting tears fill her eyes. She stood up and hugged her grandma. Even though she had kept this from her she still loved her, she was family.

Professor Collins: Professor Collins received Margo's message and thanked her. She glided into the room. Parents' Night seemed to be a success for the most part, and this plan her students had would wrap up the night nicely. She politely called for everyone's attention, and told them that some of the students had a surprise for them and everyone was to go outside. As the people went out, Elizabeth smiled to herself. She hadn't spoken to her, but she was glad to see Brandon's mother here with her granddaughter. The smile turned bittersweet, it had been sixteen years, and still a day didn't go by that Elizabeth didn't miss Brandon and Joan. She saw so much of them in River. Afraid she would look too sad, Professor Collins forced herself to think of something else. Her surprise she was planning for her students had gone over well with their parents, especially when they learned they didn't have to pay a dime for it. She decided she would tell the students tomorrow, she hoped they would be excited.

Max: Max followed behind River. On the outside, it seemed nothing was off. But on the inside, Max was hurting, her resolve and control was slowly breaking into pieces.

Daniel: Daniel walked out and met up with his mother and his brothers. They asked him if they knew what this was all about, but he just shrugged and shook his head.
