Brian: Brian smiled at Alex glad that Toby had met her. She seemed so nice, and the two of them seemed to make each other happy. He looked at Alex and said "this summer our home is your home."

Alex: Alex grinned at Toby before turning to his father. She smiled sheepishly before saying politely," Thank-you...Brian." She bit her lip still not used to calling an adult by his first name.
