Jack: Jack turned to briefly look at Toby then back to Alex. "She could get hurt. This is dangerous, she could drown or hit her head or hurt herself in any other way. And I'm not protecting her. I'm simply... watching out for her," He said watching Alex dip under the water and slightly getting on his toes as if that would help him see her.

Toby: "yeah, you're right it is. It's dangerous. But, Alex can handle herself" he said knowing that this was true. Jack just didn't know the extent of how strong Alex was since he didn't know of her past.

Alex: Alex swam back up to the surface and looked back to shore seeing Toby and Jack together. Seeing them standing together made her eyes widen in worry and start swimming towards them.

Jack: Jack shook his head," I doubt it. She's just so careless, carefree. It seems like she doesn't think ahead of anything." Watching Alex come on shore Jack relaxed slightly but still stood scowling.

Alex: Alex walked up in front of the boys holding her hands behind her back. "Hi," She said cautiously looking between the two.

Alex: Alex swam back up to the surface and looked back to shore seeing Toby and Jack together. Seeing them standing together made her eyes widen in worry and start swimming towards them.

Jack: Jack shook his head," I doubt it. She's just so careless, carefree. It seems like she doesn't think ahead of anything." Watching Alex come on shore Jack relaxed slightly but still stood scowling.

Alex: Alex walked up in front of the boys holding her hands behind her back. "Hi," She said cautiously looking between the two.

Toby: Toby scowled trying to keep his cool "that's not true" he said seriously, defending Alex. "hi Alex" he said smiling at her and then his smile fell quickly as he looked at Jack.

Alex: Alex smiled at Toby before looking at Jack,"What's up?"

Jack: Jack let out a harsh laugh,"What's up? Oh nothing, it's just that you were flinging yourself off a fifty foot cliff!" He scowled at Alex as he saw her open her mouth to defend herself,"Do you know how dangerous that is? You could easily be hurt if you weren't paying attention. And you even let other people do it with you!"

Alex: Alex glared at Jack and crossed her arms over her chest,"For your information, I was paying attention and I have only had one accident in all the times I've went jumping. Just because you aren't brave enough doesn't mean we all aren't. And for the record I didn't make Max and Nate do it with me, they did it themselves."

He scowled at Alex as he saw her open her mouth to defend herself,"Do you know how dangerous that is? You could easily be hurt if you weren't paying attention. And you even let other people do it with you!"

Before an answer was even given he turned his attention back to Jack only wanting to protect Alex. "cool it. she's fine, it's over, she doesn't need to be lectured" he said to Jack.

Before an answer was even given he turned his attention back to Jack only wanting to protect Alex. "cool it. she's fine, it's over, she doesn't need to be lectured" he said to Jack.

Alex: Alex looked down at her feet hearing the worry in Toby's voice and only shrugged as an answer.

Jack: Jack rolled his eyes and sighed,"Whatever. As long as she's fine I'll drop it," He looked at Alex as she looked up at him and his expression softened," Just please be careful, and if you need something to do hang out with me or someone. You don't need to jump off a cliff." Jack smiled slightly seeing Alex blush a little and smile then looked to Toby. "Sorry if I made you angry or anything. I was just worried."

He took a deep breath in and let it out slowly looking past Jack, not being able to look him in the eyes, and saying "sorry, I just get defensive sometimes. I shouldn't have freak out."

He took a deep breath in and let it out slowly looking past Jack, not being able to look him in the eyes, and saying "sorry, I just get defensive sometimes. I shouldn't have freak out."

Alex: Alex shrugged,"Never said I wasn't." She smiled and chuckled before saying,"Besides, about cliff jumping, it's fun. Why wouldn't I do it? He said it's dangerous and all but there's not that big of a chance you'll get hurt."

Alex: "That accident wasn't entirely my fault though, I would have been okay. All of the other times I've been perfectly fine," Alex said with slight defensively crossing her arms once again and sitting down in the sand.

He whispered, mostly into his hands "I'm sorry" then he moved his hands slightly and said a little louder "I'm sorry, I know you're fine and I shouldn't get upset, I know you can take care of yourself." He paused putting his hands on his legs and saying "it's just seeing you jump on the cliff well...." he said trailing off.

Alex: Alex sighed and shook her head looking out on the water,"No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gotten defensive it's just, it's weird thinking I'm making someone worried. Someone upset. It's weird knowing someone cares." She turned to Toby,"I'll be more careful for now on."

Alex: Alex chuckled not even hiding her blushing," He has a weird way of showing it sometimes. Or a lot of times." She sighed and shook her head before joking,"If only I liked someone you could get along with, wouldn't everything just be a bit easier?"
