Alex: Alex grinned,"Thank fudge. I would have a heart attack if you did." She laughed a little before leaning back on her hands and looking back at the cliff.

Toby: Toby smiled and laughed leaning back and putting his hands behind his head facing the sky. He sighed and closed his eyes letting the sun warm his face.

Alex: Alex sighed happily before saying," I'm hungry. Parents Night better have some good food or I'll scarf down a sandwich before."

Toby: Toby kept his eyes closed while answering, "me too, but they probably will."

Alex: Alex nodded to herself before looking around slightly bored. Looking back at Toby with his eyes still closed she smiled before sitting up and making funny faces at him.

Toby: Toby lay with his eyes closed and briefly opened them squinting into the sun. Upon seeing Alex he laughed and re-closed his eyes smiling and shaking his head he said "what are you doing?"

Alex: Alex eyes widened and she slightly jumped in her spot. "Um I was practicing?" She said, the statement sounding as a question.

Alex: Alex bit her lip thinking before breaking out in a grin. "I was practicing for my future job! I'm going to be a babysitter, you gotta be good at faces to be a babysitter."

Toby: Toby smiled "you'd be good at that" he said truthfully. He opened his eyes and sat up.

Alex: Alex laughed and crossed her legs,"Why thank-you sir! Now if I just need to actually watch kids then I could be a babysitter."

Toby: "kids are kind of a necessary thing for being a babysitter" he said matter of factually. "I should probably get a job when I get home" he said shrugging.

Alex: Alex wrinkled her nose," What are you going to do? I've only ever mowed lawns, walked dogs, and I even cleaned a couple cars. Wasn't fun."

OOC: Apparently I missed alot. I log on, and like three quarters of the threads have the dark blue bold titles.

Anyway, did I miss anything important? I was thinking it's time for lunch.

Toby: "don't know" Toby said shrugging "I just have a feeling my parents are going to start getting sick of me lounging around the house and using their money all of the time."

Ooc: Hey Wings, you didn't miss anything. We've just been at the beach, lunch would be a good idea.

Alex: "Well, whether I stay with you for the summer or if I find a way to visit you from Washington, I'll help you find a fun job. Nothing boring," Alex said with a smile sinking her hand down into the sand.

OOC: I think lunch sounds good. You didn't miss much. (side-note, but my iPod keeps trying to autocorrect OOC into oozing...wait what! Lol)

Toby: Toby smiled "that would be good, I can't picture myself sitting behind a desk or wearing a paper hat and saying 'do you want fries with that?'" he said laughing.

Ooc: Haha, my iPod always corrects it to IOC for some reason.

Alex: Alex laughed and shook her head," That is definitely not fun. You have to work somewhere at least other people can have fun at, not only yourself."

OOC: Good, I kind of read a little bit, so I hope you don't mind me just reacting to something that already happened.

Sorry, this is a mouthful.

Max: As everyone else moved on with the conversations, Max kept thinking. Why were the others so concerned about the cliff diving? Alex had given them safety tips, tolds them how to do it properly. The cliffs weren't even that high, Max had jumped off things higher than that. Cliff diving shouldn't have been a big deal, but people had made a mountain out of a molehill. Just like, in Max's opinion, River had done when she'd learned Max's secret, and she didn't even learn everything, though Max was sure to make sure River thought she had. Always stay one step ahead. But that wasn't the point! The point was, everyone was too concerned about danger! The fact was though, they were always in danger. Apparently they could have died, but people die every day, and everyone dies at some point! It was times like these that Max salmost wished everyone had had her 'childhood', her past. Max had come to terms with her own death before her age was a double digit number. Masx was fearless, she feared nothing, risked everything, and did dangerous things without a care. She didn't see a reason why everyonre was so concerned about safety. If everyone was concerned about safety all the time, so many amazing things would not have happened. Before shre knew what she was doing, Max leaped to her feet.

"I need to say something," she said, glancing around at the others. "Look, I know we're all classmates now, and that's all fine and dandy. But you guys need to get a grip on yourselves. We're living at a school on an island. We live and go to school in a five story mansion, if you count the basement and Professor Collins' penthouse as floors. We have the best food, the best clothes, and freaking super powers! I mean, how cool is that? We can do whatever we want here. And you don't even appreciate it. Some of us come from nothing. And we're taking advantage of this place, because who knows how long we'll be here. We're experiencing things. And yes, that does include cliff diving. Why does that matter? Sure there was a little risk. But for some people, there's risks in their lives everyday, and as one of them, I have to say I wouldn't give it up for the universe or anything in it. Maybe it was a little reckless or dangerous. Dudes, there's danger in our lives everyday. We have freaking super powers! I mean, come on now! You're worried about little experiences like cliff diving? That was one of the most amazing things I've ever done! I can't imagine being worried about safety and saying no. When people worry over being safe, they let all these amzing experiences go by! And all because 'it might not be safe'! And here you are, sitting around, letting all these oppertunities go by. So don't attack us because we're not being 'safe'. Maybe we are taking risks. But we're being spectacular. That's all I'm going to say."

Max stared at the sand under her feet and sat down. She was seriously embarressed. It felt good to say what she thought, that's why Max always said what she thought rather than sugarcoating everything. And she meant everything she said. She came from graves and ashes, all of her possessions lived in her school trunks. She was experiencing what she could before she was forced to move on again. But, at the same time, Max wwas worried this would be like her talk with Toby, and everyone would hate her like Toby hated her. Which really shouldn't matter to Max. The fact that it mattered meant Max had broken a rule. But it did matter.

Toby: Toby smiled at Alex "you'll have to help me out" he said referring to finding him a fun job. When Max stood up and said what she said his eyes widened and he looked at Alex. He didn't want Max to think that he or anyone was taking this school for granted. Because he wasn't, he may have come from money, and the school may not have given him things he didn't have in the material sense. But he hadn't gotten other things. He felt like he fit in her, he made a best friend and found a sister in her. He learned to be himself, and finally felt me comfortable around people. This school had given him a life outside of his clothes and hair, it made him feel like a person. This school made his superpowers part of him, and something people liked, not something he felt like he always had to hide.

OOC: I forgot that River should have a reaction too.

River: River looked at Max with wide eyes, she didn't understand why the worry over cliff diving had upset her so much. She understood what it was like to have nothing and then come to this school and have everything. But for River it was that she had always taken care of herself, but her she was taken care of. She stood up and walked over toward Max cautiously not wanting to upset her more. She sat next to her but not too close to her, and said "are you alright?" trying to help, she knew she was the closest to Max here, and she wanted her to know that even though she may spend a lot of time with Daniel that she was still there for Max.
