Everyone always joked about us and Seventh Heaven...we have five kids. and my dad is a pastor. We watched the show but I stopped watching after the son converted to Judaism. Its gotten more and more ridiculous over a time. I can't imagine anyone still watches it.

How about actually watching the program before denouncing it? What a crazy idea! Not relying on internet gossip or a brief preview, but actually watching the show before calling it blasphemous?

But that would be about as sensible as reading a book before calling for it to be banned from libraries.

My mother and I still watch it, because the woman who plays the mother/pastor's wife was my mom's college roommate. It's terrobly soap-opera-esque, which is what makes it so fun, IMO.

I agree it's gotten really weird in the past few years, half of the fun is laughling over how overly dramatic it is...but that's why I love the WB. I work during the day, so I don't get to see Days of Our Lives anymore...I'd go crazy without my WB prime-time "soaps"!

I loved Touched by an Angel and Joan of Arcadia and didnt see anything wrong with them. Ive only watched 7th heaven once I think, must be up against something else I normally watch.
