That's probably the best comparison that could be made. Those rides only got THREE laps at speed. And it was way over $33/per person. Granted, a higher-speed experience, but also a very short duration. I think folks will do it, but I'm still afraid it will be gone (as you say, maintenance and other issues) before we get to try it.Maybe he is snacking on the asparagus.
$100 is way too steep for the car boat ride thing. I could see it as a novelty thing. Not sure how long it will last at those prices. Makes me wonder how the set up is--does the restaurant own the cars? Do the drivers? Does this rate cover paying them, car maintenance (or car rental), and the not mentioned liability coverage?
I don't see this as a sustainable activity. But then folks paid hundreds for a ride along in a stock car and that lasted several years.
