Trust me you be spoiled. No turning back after that:cool1:

I can relate to "No turning back" We have our 5th CL stay coming up in May. Our 1st time at BWI, were all very excited about our stay here. We love the Boardwalk area and it restaurants.

In recent years I had been staying at DVC places on rented points or the 40% discount PIN. ALL the times I have been somewhere around that Epcot area.

I've been at Boardwalk Villas, Beach Club Villas, and even The Swan and Dolphin, on the government rate.

The whole area is so perfect, and the choices for breakfast, are so wonderful in that area, that it would be VERY difficult to go back to a moderate.

I am now very spoiled !

:cool1:

I would like to stay CL someday, but I'm afraid we wouldn't use the lounge as much. When you stay CL, do you DDP too?

Personally we wouldn't stay Club Level with any form of the Dining Plan because it's to much food and you would always be rushing from one ADR to another, so when could you actually enjoy the food in the lounge? Besides that some Club Level Cast Members at the Contemporary once said to us that they don't even think it makes sense to stay Club Level with the Dining Plan, so we are not the only ones who think that.

We never do the dining plan when staying CL. Maybe it's because we've been to Disney so often, but....we have breakfast in the lounge, hit rope drop at a park, eat counter service lunch in the parks, leave by early afternoon, and then spend the rest of the day enjoying the resort.

Since we are at the resort so much, we do take advantage of the afternoon snacks in the lounge, the appetizers and desserts at night.

At BWI, we take full advantage of the lounge for food and drink, watching the EPCOT fireworks from the balcony nightly, and pestering the lounge cast members. Dining plan would not work for us...but that's just us!

Has anyone had any luck ordering the Boardwalk chocolate postcard from room service that was posted elsewhere in the thread? I would love to have that in the room but we aren't staying CL this time around.

We also do not take advantage of the dining plan. There are only 2 of us in our party. The first year we went to Disney we were on the dining plan and found it was too much food. My husband is a big eater but even he felt stuffed. Like jackemail we also have breakfast in the lounge. I get my coffee fix and then off to the parks. We come back in the early afternoon for a short break but head to the lounge for snacks. We come back for appetizers and drinks but we do not make our dinner out of them. Then we make sure we are back before 10pm for dessert.

I don't know if the first page of this thread still gets updated, but if it does, the information on Spoodles needs to be updated, since it no longer is Spoodles.

Now, despite my saying I was fed up with Disney CL (not the wonderful BWI CMs of course) I've caved in  and have booked my last 2 nights CL after staying at BC for the first week (part of a free dining UK promotion so as BWI isn't available I've opted for the BC) - but I'm thinking how do I actually arrive/check in at the BWI seeing as I'm literally across the lake at the BC and was planning on just walking around to the BWI to check in. :confused3 Do I just go to the main reception desk or can I make my own way up to the CL check in desk on the 4th floor? Any idea?

clairemolly--Yep, in the words of Nascargirl be prepared to the point of "No Turning Back." We love the Boardwalk and the Innkeepers Club. The staff is wonderful.;)
For others asking-We did do the dining plan one year when we took my parents and found it to be way too much food. We gave away 4 counter service meals the day we left by buying people lunch behind us at the Pizza Window at the Boardwalk. DD used 18 snack credits to get treats for her classmates. This was back in 2006 so maybe things have changed a little. It is fun to try the different foods from 5-7 in the evenings but there is no way we would try to make a meal out of them. That is not what it is designed for. Breakfast is plentiful with a good variety including fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, and muffins. Love my blueberry muffins. No dining plan is needed in my opinion. Enjoy your stay everyone!:thumbsup2

I would suggest going to the 4th floor and walking to their Club Level desk located next to the door that says Innkeeper's Club, because up until that point you won't need your KTTW card to access the Club Level rooms and lounge beyond the door. Although maybe you can tell one of the Bell Service Cast Members at the outside main entrance you have a Club Level reservation and see what happens, because then the head Bellman will come out with a list of guests checking in that day with Club Level reservations.

Thanks :goodvibes think I'll go the bell service CMs first in that case then - first time I've 'checked in' like this as opposed to arriving by ME or towncar.

Can anyone tell me locations of standard club rooms. Have you had luck in requesting boardwalk views ? We have booked Club Level BWI for Sept.
Thanks !

With the exception of 4261, all their other Standard Club Level Rooms are located on the 4th floor past the Innkeeper's Club door. Now this past December we reserved that room category and were lucky enough to get the Boardwalk View in room 4223. Now I am not sure the amount of Standard Club Level Rooms with the that view, so all you can do is request it and hope for the best. If you are not able to get it then at least you will get a nice Garden View room and getting to see Illuminations from your balcony.

So do all the standard club rooms face epcot ? Should they all have balconies ? We have gone back and forth over deluxe versus standard. We just came back from AKL in December and are trying to go with a standard.

Their Standard Club Level Rooms with the Garden View should also come with a view of the Eiffel Tower from the France Pavilion at Epcot's World Showcase. Besides that yes their rooms also come with balconies.

We always take the 40% or $42% off discount instead of FD. We have breakfast at the lounge, A big lunch at the park we visiting, sometimes we grab a CS for lunch then plan a big dinner when the parks open late for resort guest. We do return back to the resort in the afternoons, DH and Grandson take naps, the rest of us usually swim. We will stop off at the lounge for the evening offerings then head to the parks. Sometimes just a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers if we're having dinner in the park.

We have 2 rooms booked and there are 7 of us going, thats over a $2400 savings for 7 days. We are also AP holders. This is our 3rd trip in 15 months so we're more laid-back visitors who spend a lot of time at our resort.

This will be our 1st time staying at BWI CL.

There are more garden view standard CL rooms at BWI than BW view. The deluxe rooms and suites are all BW view (some deluxe rooms on 3rd floor) so that leaves less space for standard CL rooms on that side.

I've been in both garden view & BW view standard CL rooms. The BW view is nice but the garden view rooms are nice too.

Both rooms I've had I thought the balconies were on the small side.
