There are more garden view standard CL rooms at BWI than BW view. The deluxe rooms and suites are all BW view (some deluxe rooms on 3rd floor) so that leaves less space for standard CL rooms on that side.

I've been in both garden view & BW view standard CL rooms. The BW view is nice but the garden view rooms are nice too.

Both rooms I've had I thought the balconies were on the small side.
Well I know the balconies on the 3rd floor for the Deluxe Rooms are bigger then the Deluxe Rooms on the 4th floor, although I am not sure if that's true for their Standard Rooms.

What did you think of the size of the balcony in 4229?

I don't think there are any standard CL rooms on the 3rd floor.

We were in 2312 for 6 nights 2 weeks ago. Nice king bed, largest balcony I've ever had. It faces a courtyard. BW is our favorite resort & we've stayed at 7 different ones. Can't beat BW at 40% off.:cool1:

We were actually in room 4223 this past December and we thought the balcony size was good. However part of the Boardwalk view on the left side where you see the boat dock and the Villas side was a bit cut off because of the room, so that's something you should know about that room.

You are correct that there is no Standard Club Level Rooms on the 3rd floor, however they have regular rooms there and I was wondering if the balconies from those rooms are the same size as the Deluxe Rooms located on the 3rd floor?

Hi! We're interested in possibly staying at the BWI for our honeymoon in September in a king room. Did you pay for a standard or a water view room? What was your view and balcony like?

Thanks!!

Just a few FYIs:
1)King bed is not a bookable category. You can request it, but it's not guaranteed. The Garden Suites have kings, but they are $$$. The Villa side has kings in the 1bdrm units, but again they're pricey.
2)Water view room = over the boardwalk, facing crescent lake/beach club/yacht club/atlantic dance. AWESOME rooms, but can be loud at night. I personally think they're worth the extra $.
3)Standard room = quiet pool view, garden view, boardwalk greens view or parking lot view. Again, you can request any of these views but no guarantees. I prefer BW greens.
4) (I know you didn't ask about this but it's a good general heads up) Boardwalk doesn't do a lot of free upgrades so book what you really want.
5) ALMOST every room has a balcony or patio. There are maybe 4 in the entire resort that don't, so you shouldn't have to worry about that. They're all decent sized, and some are huge. They're bigger than the "standing balconies" at beach club- I laughed when I saw those!!

Where do you eat Breakfast if you are staying at the BWI? There is no counter service restaurant, right?

Mousemere: We just returned from a stay at BWI. We were assigned room 4259 at check-in. It was a king room on the 4th floor steps away from the entrance to the Innkeepers Club. I believe this was a standard club level room. The view was FANTASTIC! It was the top right room above Seashore Sweets. The balcony was a little small but big enough for just two.
BWI really made our 30th Anniversary "extra magical"! They made me forget about my first choice, GF.
Best Wishes.

The Boardwalk Bakery is a counter service location open for breakfast and there are tables outside along the Boardwalk. The difference is they are not set up like the traditonal counter service locations with tables inside because they are a very small place. Finally the Belle Vue Lounge which is located just before the elevators to the rooms on the Inn side sells a continental breakfast from 6:30 AM - 11:00 AM.

In 3 weeks we will be checking in for our first stay at BWI...a long weekend for my birthday and our first flower and garden festival:dance3:

Kouzzina is also open for breakfast.

I can tell you the balcony we had on our Standard Room this past December which was located on the 4th floor was a lot smaller then the balcony we had this past August from our Deluxe Room located on the 3rd floor.

I hope you have a great time and great ready to be spoiled by the Innkeeper's Club. Their Cast Members are simply the best and make for a great experience, plus the lounge itself is very nice and the food up there is amazing.

Trust me you be spoiled. No turning back after that:cool1:

Have a great trip. You will love, love, love it.

Uh-oh.....after staying CL at Boardwalk, prepare to be addicted to staying there again and again and again.

However, it's a GOOD habit to have!

I can relate to "No turning back" We have our 5th CL stay coming up in May. Our 1st time at BWI, were all very excited about our stay here. We love the Boardwalk area and it restaurants.

The whole area is so perfect, and the choices for breakfast, are so wonderful in that area, that it would be VERY difficult to go back to a moderate.

I am now very spoiled ! :cool1:

clairemolly--Yep, in the words of Nascargirl be prepared to the point of "No Turning Back." We love the Boardwalk and the Innkeepers Club. The staff is wonderful.;)

Thanks everyone! I am sure I will be hooked...oh well. I guess that'll just be more motivation to save my pennies in between trips, huh?

We are currently booked with Deluxe Dining, mainly because we want to have a nice signature meal each night since we are traveling without the kiddos. We are planing on breakfast in the lounge, then lunch in a park and a signature dinner. I'm sure most of our snack credits will be spent either at Food & Wine or to take snacks home to the kiddos. we talked about dropping the plan and paying out of pocket, but DH thinks it will work for us to use the dining plan. He likes the "prepaid" aspect more than anything, so I guess we'll just go with it.

Does anyone know if there is a schedule of activities, ex. making t shirts, etc. for the BW?

Just booked for Columbus Day weekend:cool1:! Went back and forth about whether or not to spend the extra money for a water view, but in the end we decided to book a standard room and use the extra money to chow down at the F&WF:lmao:. Can't wait!

Has anyone seen them there yet?

We are staying at BC next weekend and so far they are not available there yet.

BW would be just a short walk to pick up the new mugs if so!

Someone please give me some good news!

The mugs arrived today at the Boardwalk. I can check the Beach Club for you too when we head over there.

Hello all!! We've visited and eaten at the BWI but never stayed there!

We are staying at the BWI from March 10 - 17 and I have not- as of yet, put in a room request. We originally booked concierge but when DH couldn't go, we changed to a regular room.

Having never stayed there before we have no idea where to stay, any advice from experienced travelers to this gorgeous resort what I should submit for a room request.

I expect we'll be walking to DHS as well as of course Epcot. I read somewhere that we will have to go to the Beach or Yacht Club to swim...
