Having never stayed there before we have no idea where to stay, any advice from experienced travelers to this gorgeous resort what I should submit for a room request.

When we stayed at BWI last year I intended to put in a request for a high floor facing Epcot based on some great info I read here. Time got away from me and I never made the notation. As it turned out, there was a problem with the original room we were assigned to and they moved us to a 5th floor room facing Epcot :cool1: - so we unintentionally got exactly what I meant to request! We were a couple doors in from the elevators so it was also convenient in that respect. I hope we luck out again this year but if not, just happy to be going back:rotfl:.

We are currently booked with Deluxe Dining, mainly because we want to have a nice signature meal each night since we are traveling without the kiddos. We are planing on breakfast in the lounge, then lunch in a park and a signature dinner. I'm sure most of our snack credits will be spent either at Food & Wine or to take snacks home to the kiddos. we talked about dropping the plan and paying out of pocket, but DH thinks it will work for us to use the dining plan. He likes the "prepaid" aspect more than anything, so I guess we'll just go with it.

We did this last year, it's a good plan. Just stay away from buffets if at all possible, or you'll be way too stuffed. But doing this was perfect.

Question/favor...

Can anyone post pics of their standard rooms?

My BFF is a little nervous about how the room is set up per allears... and I'd like to see pictures of the sliding doors out to the patios if at all possible.

We're planning to decorate our room for Christmas and need to know what we need to send ahead.

Can anyone help?

Also - can anyone confirm UG's opinion of the best rooms at BWI? I don't have the room numbers on hand and I'm going off a very fuzzy memory...

I want to say the odd numbered rooms from like 3213-3255 and the same for 4213-4255??

I believe those are facing the promenade or maybe EP??

Here is a picture of the beds and the balcony from room #4223 which is one of their Standard Rooms.

Cool! Thanks CR fan!

I think I'm going to cut out some snowflakes from my cricut to put in the windows!

I know, I know...my ticker says WL, but I'm a resort switcher and have finally decided on BW per DD17's request. I told her if I mention switching resorts again, to start crying. :)
I've looked at the room pics of both BWI & BWV and the BWV's (studio) room decor looks more appealing. Plus, I would be able to cross a villa off my list (I'm trying to stay everywhere!)
So my question is - What are the pros/cons of staying BWV instead of BWI, besides only 1 bed? I don't mind sleeping on the pull out.
Thanks!

From what I know about staying DVC is that check-in time is 4:00 PM and not 3:00 PM like the regular resorts, plus one thing you can not request is a late check-out if you needed one. If your staying on DVC points you will only get Housekeeping every 3 days, however if it was a regular cash reservation you will get it everyday.

I stayed in a studio a long time ago (Nov 1998) and remember thinking it felt small for myself and a friend. We had tried to switch to a room in the Inn but there were not any available. With a regular room you would have 2 queen beds and a daybed.

We were there from 2/22 to 2/28, and we got room 2352. This room was on the lobby level, almost as far away as possible. We just kept walking and walking and curving left. Turns out it was the second last room in the hall with a small courtyard view. When we went down the stairs one room away, we found ourselves at the quiet pool. The room itself was beautiful. We had stayed at BWI in 2005, and I do not remember if all the rooms are the same size at this resort, but this room was certainly huge! It had a very large sofa in it, not just a daybed size, but definitely a queen or king sleeper. It had a desk and a chair, and ample room for 2 other upholstered chairs with a small table as well. The closet was the size of a small room! Once we got used to the walk, we decided that we LOVED this room. First of all, it was ready when we arrived at 10 am, which was nice. We had early housekeeping every day, and we received towel animals and extra toiletries. We really liked the Belle vue room for a quick breakfast of muffins/bagel/cereal. It really could not have been more convenient! Wow, did we love our trip, especially the record heat this year. Last year we were in WDW the same week, and experienced record cold!
Hope everyone who is planning a trip this year has as much fun as we did! Cheers!

So tell me why I will love It:cool1:, Is there and good fourms about the Inskeeper?. I am trying to find out the kind of food/snacks they have

First--teentoddlermom, so glad you enjoyed BWI! It's a really special resort.

Seadd--there is a Concierge thread in this resorts section. BWI is discussed a lot, because there is 98% agreement that it has one of the best club staff on property. The Innkeepers Club is wonderful, and you can read many raves (and occasional dissent) in the thread.

Mornings have oatmeal, cereals, bagels, a couple of different types of muffins, cut fruit, yogurt, juices. Snacks during the day include sodas, lemonade, tea, chips, cookies. Appetizers in the evening include dips, veggie trays, hummus, breads and crackers, uncrustables, and at least 2 hot appetizers..I have no idea what many of the apps were, since they were from Kouzzina...but they were so good! (and I am definitely not an adventurous eater) Evening desserts vary, but included cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, mini-cheesecakes, apple slices with caramel sauce, and several other wonderful goodies. Beer and wines are also available.

LOVE the Innkeepers Club, and the extraordinary staff.

Some of the hot food items they had out from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM was Prosciutto Wrapped Sea Scallops, Blue Crab Cheese Cake, Veggie Spring Rolls and Duck Quesadillas. There might be some items I am forgetting to add and it's best to ask what two items they will be putting out each day. They have a book that says what items are available on each day, however they said sometimes it can change at the last minute.

Is it noisy at night? I have a water-view room booked if that makes a difference.

I've stayed in garden view rooms, and boardwalk view rooms. Some people say they have heard noise from the boardwalk, but I never have. Your water view room will most likely not be noisy at all.

Wonderful! I was worried because the resort is right on the boardwalk, obviously, and I was worried about noise at night. I'm glad there is little to no noise. :)

The only time I really noticed any noise was in the morning I could hear joggers on the boardwalk and the horns from the boats. Nothing annoying as I always get up pretty early but I could hear it.
