So happy to have found this thread. We got back back from our annual WDW trip last month and have already decided where we'll be staying on our next trip....BWI is where DH wants to stay...DS wants AKL so I'd better start collecting info on both :lmao:

You are so going to love it there!

:thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Cant wait! Do they take room requests? If so...anything I should be requesting?:confused3

The Unofficial Guide has some suggestions. If you like I can look it up and PM you. Apparently it can work to fax them to the resort a few days before your trip.

Thanks, I will look it up!:goodvibes

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a 'Boardwalk-view Studio' at the BWV?

Staying at the BWI in the garden suite this September. What suite number would you request. Would like to be in a quiet area not too close to the end of concierge's floor. I guess closer to the step to lobby of BWI? Help ! Thanks

Does anyone know if it is a long walk from the entrance to the concierge level floor? Or a far walk to the transportation?

Hi:) I am staying at BWI in september, really excited.

I was wondering where the hotel part of the resort is located?

Also does the pool have zero entry?

Hi all, just found this thread :)

My DD age 25 and self are going on our big Mom and Daughter trip in October. I got a 40% off code and am so excited about being able to stay at the BW.

I was wondering if anyone knows if I book a waterview and ask for a Lakeview/BW view and don;t get it at check-in can I switch to a standard view room? I really don't want to pay the extra for just a pool view.

Thanks and this thread is great! I will go back to reading all of it now;)

Yes there is. Boardwalk view is a guaranteed booking category at the BWV, but since there is a limited number of Boardwalk view rooms, it usually books up pretty fast by DVC members who own there. :thumbsup2

Hi! :flower3:

We just booked a 2BR at BWV for this September! I'm excited for learning all about a new resort!

Can anyone share experiences with the refillable mugs?

From the first post of this thread:

Refillable Mug Program:

The Boardwalk mugs are red handled with Donald and Daisy Duck and the name of the resort on them -- $9.99

Refillable Mugs can be filled at:
Boardwalk Bakery
Joe's Coffee Cart (free refills include coffee)
Spoodles Pizza window
Seashore Sweets
Leaping Libations
Belle Vue Lounge

Now, I know the mugs are more expensive by now, but they're included with our DxDDP.

Can you still refill them at all these places? How do refills work? Are there any self-serve refill areas? (We're used to the food court-style fountain drink areas at the mods.)

TIA! :wizard:

Can anyone tell me about the Boardwalk's business center? What computers are available for personal use? Is there a fee?

I thought I should sign up on this thread too--Can't wait to learn more about the BW! We have been staying at the CBR for FOREVER! Really looking forward to a change! :wizard:

Yes, I'm with Smiller...(my Dis Sis the PP above me here) we're anxious to learn all about where to fill the mugs at the BW. :goodvibes

Also curious about the food/drinks at ESPN. Good place to stop in for a late snack & beverage with DH (or Dis Sis):drinking1 (when the kiddies are asleep in the villa with grandma & grandpa?)

Please share your knowledge BoardWalk know-it-alls! :worship: I can tell you EVERYTHING about the CBR!

hmillerbarilla--We LOVE the Boardwalk!! You will have a blast. ESPN Club is a great place to have a fun meal. If you a looking for a snack and a drink get the nachos!! We get them for an appetizer and then I get the Dinger sandwich which is a boneless hotwing sandwich. It is good food with a fun atmosphere.:thumbsup2 Then we always spend time outside watching the entertainers and letting DD play a couple of games. Fun Fun Fun!! Enjoy!!

BWI is awesome:cool1: You will have a blast. We have made BWI our home away from home so much that we visit 3x a year. We love staying CL because the CM make you feel special and part of their family.:rotfl2: The BWI has nightly entertainment, games, and Jelly Rolls. We are looking forward to our visit on May 19th. We are lucky enough that we are even hooking up with the previous poster SFBANK.:thumbsup2

What Nascargirl said--Club Level Cms are the best. The Boardwalk is great and I don't think you can go wrong! Our countdown for this trip is almost over finally and we can't wait to hook up with Nascargirl and DH!:goodvibes
