Hello everyone! Subscribing to this thread since we will be staying at BWI this coming August. Although I am not a newcomer to Disney in anyway, I am a newbie at the BWI (first time) and staying deluxe in general (closest we came was a stay at the Dolphin 2 years ago..)

OK, please don't flame me for asking...just an innocent question here...we have a standard room booked. Upon check in if I mention this is my first stay at the BWI or my first stay at a Disney deluxe resort do you think I will get *upgraded*? Anyone have a similar experience at the BWI?? Just curious. I have gotten a free upgrade at CSR when I was there 3 years ago without even asking, so I KNOW they exist. If not, I am excited to be staying there and will probably spoil myself and not want to go back to mods after this..:rotfl:

Where is the luggage hold area located?
Also who do I go to, to take me up to the concierge floor to check in?

The last time I checked in at CR no one knew what I was talking about.
What floor is the concierge floor?

Hi, I have this question posted on the concierge information thread but have yet to get an answer, so I'm hoping someone here has the answer. I am staying at the Boardwalk in a deluxe concierge room for a girls only trip. We are looking forward to sitting on our balcony at night and having a few cocktails. If I email the concierge staff and ask them for Raspberry Stoli, Is that something they can get for me and have it in our room ahead of time? They do have my credit card on file. I'm just not sure if that is something they will do. Thanks for any information.

The last two times we stayed at BWI concierge, I contacted them and asked if I could get caffeine free diet coke. I was more than willing to pay, but they didn't charge me either time. I'm not sure what Raspberry Stoli is, but I would e-mail and ask. If this is alcohol, and they can verify through your ressie that you are all over 21, it doesn't hurt to ask. I would mention to them that it's OK to charge your CC separate from your resort ressie. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

If you are flying in, you could take one of those town cars from the airport that offers a stop at a grocery store. You could find out what store they stop at and see if they sell it there. Or take a cab from the airport and have the driver stop on the way to pick it up. If you are taking ME from the airport, there are stores that will deliver to the resorts. I'm not sure if they will deliver alcohol or not.

You will love your deluxe room! I couldn't wait to get back to the room at night to sit on the balcony and watch the activity on the boardwalk. And the concierge staff are the best on property!

Have a great trip! :)

The first page of this thread mentions an room interior rehab in early 2002...please tell me the rooms have been refurbished since then??:confused3

Carpets, drapes, bedding, etc.?

I would place your order thru gardengrocer.com & have it delivered to your room. They only charge a $12 delivery fee

Hi everyone we just got back today. We did a split stay with the INN and then a 1 bedroom at the Villas. Here are some pics.

Oh we just got back too! We weren't near the ESPN club although we spent a lot of time there. We stayed near the Inn quiet pool (which was closed). It was a fun trip!

HI!
Does anyone know that last time the BWI rooms were renovated? Do they have flat screen tv's and refrigerators?
THANKS!

BWI rooms haven't been renovated in a few years. They have been working on the exterior since Jan 08. The rumor has it renovations will start this coming July for the interior. They were to start with the InnKeepers Lounge around 7-8, then off to guest rooms. Our family is heading down to the BWI CL in 19th days, will try and get more info and post it when we come back:thumbsup2

THANK YOU for the detailed information! Hope you have a great trip and bring backs lots of info on the BWI!! :)

Does anyone know what leave the concierge lounge is on? I thought I read it was on level 4, but when we called to make our reservations, they lady said it was on level 5?

Of the seas--Concierge Lounge is on Level 4. At least it was when we stayed last. They may move it to a different level when they start the renovation on the lounge but I know for our trip it is still on the 4th floor. Have a good time!!:)

There are definitely not flat screen televisions in the rooms and I think there is a little fridge.:thumbsup2

The 1&2 BR demo unit that we toured on the BW had flat screen's and whirlpool tubs. The Studio did not.

HTH,

Brian

Well, I booked deluxe club level. I wanted a definate Boardwalk view, and we can always use the extra room space!

For club level, are cans of pop always available?
