Hey everyone,
Just like my WDW trip this past August once again I am writting my Boardwalk Inn trip report in Dalton, Georgia at a Hampton Inn and tomorrow night I am staying in Lima, Ohio. So I will be home on Christmas Day.

Boardwalk Inn
First things first I want to thank the Innkeeper's Club Cast Members for making our 2nd stay there even better then our 1st time. JJ, Lorenzo, Jackie, Tiffany, Jackie, Anita, Janice and everyone are all amazing and the best Cast Members WDW can ever ask for.

After we arrived and took the elevator to the 4th floor we were greater by JJ who is a fellow Canadian from Montreal, so what a nice surprise to see him. He had heard over the radio we just arrived and he ran over there to meet us.

Since we had a reservation for a Standard Club Level Room getting a Boardwalk View needed to be requested, well we were told that our room was going to be 4223 and it turned out to be one of the few Standard Club Level Rooms with a Boardwalk View. Now part of it was a bit blocked by the roof of the Boardwalk Bakery, however that wasn't an issue at all. However the room was very close to the lounge and that was a bounus.

After that when I had opened the fridge I noticed cans of Sprite Zero and it turns out that JJ had got them for my Mom since they are not available in the lounge, plus this time we did not request them. The thing we found great about that is how JJ remembered that my Mom liked to drink it, so that right there is great service.

Theme Parks
The Magic Kingdom I went once, Epcot and Hollywood Studios I went to twice and once I went to the Animal Kingdom. The week before Christmas the crowds were ok however we always went for AM Extra Magic Hour or right before the regular park opening, so that helped with any lines for the attractions.

Dining
The various dining locations we went was the Kona Island Sushi Bar, Beaches & Cream (didn't have to wait at all for a table there) two times at Earl of Sandwich, Gasparilla's Grill & Games, three times to the ESPN Club to watch the Maple Leafs play, Boardwalk Bakery, Boardwalk To Go, Boardwalk Pizza Window and we took out from the Contempo Cafe since the night we went it was very cold on the 4th floor.

Transportation
Going to the Magic Kingdom we took the bus and we had just missed it, however another came 5 minutes later so we had no issues with the Boardwalk buses when it came to that. I used the walkway both times to Epcot, took the boat and also walked to Hollywood Studios and we took our car over to the Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney.

Our next trip to WDW
As of right now we have a room only reservation from August 8th - August 22nd at the Boardwalk Inn for another Standard Club Level Room. Since there were no room only discounts yet for August 2011, however we wanted something confirmed just to have it. So I will keep a look out for Annual Pass rates or any future promotions.

Finally once I am home I have 59 pictures of the Boardwalk which I will be posting for you all to see.

CR Fan.... Have a safe trip home. In southern Ohio we are predicted to have a some snow tomorrow evening....so again be careful!
It sounds like you had a great time, glad to hear that!! I really love the BWI Innkeeper's Club too. I can't wait for the pictures. Merry Christmas!

Fantastic pictures CR Resort Fan. We actually had to split our stay this time between the Boardwalk in Deluxe CL room and the CR Atrium Baylake view as we were unable to get the CR at an annual pass rate for our whole stay.

Your pictures are great and we are getting very excited to go.

Do you know if all the Deluxe CL rooms have balconies and are any of them located near the ESPN club?

BTW glad you had a great stay!!!

All their Deluxe Club Level Rooms have balconies. Now the ones on the 3rd floor are bigger then the ones on the 4th floor, however the lounge is located on the 4th floor and you would be a lot closer to it. So what do you think is more important when it comes to your room location? Besides that I don't think those rooms are close or right over the ESPN Club. However I will say that our Standard Club Level Room we had was close to it, although noise from there was not a factor.

Sorry if this has already been asked but can anyone tell me where the 2 bedroom villas are located at BWV? My wife and I are taking our daughter on her first trip in October/November and my parents are coming with us. This is the first time we have ever needed room for this many people.

Thanks dolce27,
I'll let you know what I think about the resort when we get back.
Hi everyone, recently had our first stay at the BWI 1/2/2011-1/8/2011 and the whole family loved it. Our ds 9 and dd 5 loved the pool and the Boardwalk entertainers. We had stayed at Poly the last 3 years and liked this hotel just as much if not more depending on whether you want to be closer to MK or Epcot. Great CMs no problems whatsoever. The only thing I would change is that there is no free wi-fi in the rooms.

Hi, I booked a garden suite and understand there are 2 different room layouts. I requested layout 2 which is supposed to have a defined bedroom that is NOT open to the lower level.

Has anyone stayed in this particular room layout? It seems that most have the open loft room.

Any info or pictures of the layout which is closed off bedroom would be appreciated.

THanks!

Melissa

I'm so excited to be posting on this thread!

We just booked our 2011 Disney Dream Vacation, and thanks to the 35% offer, we booked a standard Club-Level room at BWI!

We often walk past or through the Boardwalk, and have heard rave reviews about it, and we're over the moon to be staying there.

I look forward to this thread over the next seven (long) months!

Here's my first set of questions. Do all rooms there have balconies? I know the standard club level rooms don't all face the boardwalk, but what other kinds of views do CL rooms have? Any special requests I could/should make at check in? (I say check-in because it's my understanding that room assignments are now done by computer).

Wow, are you going to enjoy the Innkeepers Club!

Funny, the one time I stayed in a standard club room, the balcony was much larger than the deluxe club rooms I have stayed in.

You can request a boardwalk view. However, the standard room we were in had a wonderful garden view, and to the left we could see the tops of the EPCOT countires. AND at nights, could watch the upper fireworks and lasers from Illuminations. You can, though, go out on the balcony in the Innkeepers lounge at 9:00 and watch there as well.

Everything about the club level at Boardwalk is first class-the cast members are the best anywhere.

Fancy meeting you here! :goodvibes

I'm currently booked in a standard CL room for a trip scheduled for the end of February, and I have the same questions as Scott about rooms. Thanks jackemail, for your input!

Maybe...just maybe Uncle Orville will make a surprise appearance in August when I'm there......:rolleyes1

In case anyone out there is looking for this information, I confirmed with the Boardwalk IPO this afternoon that there are no deluxe club level rooms with King beds - all have 2 Queen beds.

Good old Uncle Orville does love to crash a good party, so you never know - he probably will not be able to resist! ;)

Really looking forward to our upcoming 2/22 to 2/28 trip to BWI. We were last at BWI in 2005, and liked it so much! Last year we had some unique and wonderful pixie dust sprinkled on us with an upgrade to Concierge at BC during the same February week. :wizard: Not expecting that again, (although I can always hope) so I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on quick breakfast options around the area? Hi to those on the thread, interesting to note that I haven't logged on in a while, last time I did I had been reading the last 2 posters on this thread TR's! I remember Scottmc was at GF right after me in 2009! :goodvibes. I'm going back to read more in this thread now:thumbsup2
