Does anyone know what the wonderful scent at BWI is? We noticed that the lobby, halls and especially the room smelled heavenly. I know detectives on this board have figured out the scent at the GF and at the BC...how about BWI?
I honestly don't remember any type of scents coming from the lobby and in the hallways they have their air conditioning on full blast (which I didn't mind) so it was always cold to notice any other scents.

Hi Mary! Over the last few years we have noticed the YC and BC share a bus with the YC being the first stop.

THe BWI, Swan and Dolphin share a bus and the BWI is the first stop

We are also booked the end of Oct so we will see you there!

Thanks! And my DH is extra tall- 6'8" tall, so if you see him with a short blonde and 2 girls, that would be our fam. :goodvibes

When going to the Magic Kingdom after the bus leaves it will then stop at the Swan and then the Dolphin before it gets there. However when leaving the Magic Kingdom the Boardwalk is the 1st stop.

As for Downtown Disney the Boardwalk is the last stop when going there since it will have come from the Yacht Club, Beach Club, Swan and Dolphin. When coming back once again the Boardwalk is the last stop, although one tip you can do is get off at the Swan and walk back to the Boardwalk. My parents did that earlier this month and it was a lot faster then staying on the bus.

I can't say what resorts the Animal Kingdom bus shares with since that's the one bus I have not taken when staying there.

Thanks so much CR.

We recently came back from BWI and noticed that lovely smell - would also love to know what that is :)

Room location question...we booked a standard room and I really dont care about the view too much but I did request a king bed

Our previous stay we had a quiet pool view and France view but the room was soooo far down the hallway

I was looking at the map and it seems there are rooms very close to the lobby (above it)...my question is this, if we stayed far down by the ESPN area is there a stairway or elevator that can take you right out to the BW or do you have to walk all the way down the hall to the lobby area?

It looks like rooms ending in 61-85 might be my best bet because they are right about the lobby area

If we are coming back from a late night at Epcot it would be nice to not have to walk to the lobby and then down the long hall, basically back tracking ourselves.

Yay!! headed to BWV next summer!!!
is there much difference between the "Inn" and the "Villa"?
We have a 2-bedroom reserved at the Villas!

I have only ever stayed in a villa, which means that it is a DVC room.
You will have all of the DVC benefits. Kitchen, laundry, daily house keeping....

Well if they are a DVC member staying on points or rented points then they only get Housekeeping and trash pick up every 4 days. To get Housekeeping everyday when staying at a DVC Villa you need to make a regular cash reservation.

You are correct... I usually stay CL at AKV and we get daily housekeeping...

Speaking of housekeeping. I couldn't remember if they will restock shampoo and conditioner only on the fourth day and you get more if you need it before then?

I have never stayed at a DVC Resort on points before so I can't say what will happen, although if you needed extra I guess you can always call Housekeeping and request it.

actually we do have daily housekeeping available..... for a small fee.
When we rented once before we called on our first day to let them know. and then a quick call in the morning on the day we needed it. I don't remember the fee... but it was worth it.
also... they sent extra towels a couple days no charge. :goodvibes

We'll be staying at the BWV for the first time in early December. I'm wondering where there's a good place to eat breakfast. From what I can gather, the Boardwalk Bakery is the only place that serves anything hot for breakfast, and the selections appear to be somewhat limited. DH especially really likes a pancake or bacon and eggs breakfast. We wouldn't mind walking over to the Swan or Dolphin or the Yacht/Beach Club. I don't really want an expensive breakfast buffet - just a place where you can order what you want. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA.

Have you thought about making an ADR for breakfast at Kouzzina by Cat Cora? It's located at the Boardwalk and that means you won't have far to go. Anyway here is a link to their breakfast menu which can you take a look at.

We'll be staying at BWV in November & might try Picabu (buffeteria) at the Dolphin or order in-room dining. We also have ADRs at Cape May & Captain's Grille at the BC/YC a couple of mornings. We also really enjoy grabbing breakfast at Sunshine Seasons on our Epcot mornings. :thumbsup2

Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club has both a menu and a buffet. We enjoyed our breakfast there a couple of years ago. :thumbsup2 Fresh at Dolphin is good, but it is a buffet.

You can eat at the buffet or order off the menu at Fresh. I ate there last fall & thought it was good. It wasn't busy at all... I'm guessing you could get in on short notice or without an ADR, depending on the time of year.

I can't believe I get to post here finally! :cool1: I have always stayed at ASMu and this will be my first time staying at a deluxe. I'm just so excited I can't stand it right now! I'm coming for the marathon, Jan 4th - 12th. Hubby just told me I can change my reservation from ASMu to BWI thanks to the AP rates! I will probably have questions but for now I just wanted to say "Hi" and I can't wait to read through all the info. :cloud9:
