The Biggest Loser: MICHELLE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can I ask you all a question....why is there always so much crying on BL...can I please watch one episode where no one is crying...impossible.

:confused3

Oh I'm so glad to see someone else mentioning this. All the crying is getting on my nerves. My husband told me last night that I was being insensitive, but I mean come one, someone is crying every 5 minutes!! I don't recall all of this crying until they started doing BL Families. All of these people act like they are never going to see their loved ones again.

And don't forget the WHIPPED CREME....

Ummm, excuse me... It was not "whipped creme," it was COOL WHIP IN A CAN. LOL!

I think there is way more to the Michelle/Mom/Dad story than is being said. Michelle's mom sometimes looks really mean/"hard."

I didn't like Shellay at first, but was really warming up to her by the end. I thought she looked FANTASTIC at the update!!!!! It seems like she and her daughter have a really good relationship.

As for those product placements... Ya know, if they showed the contestants eating/using a product and you could barely make out what the product is, it would probably work a lot better. It is so blatantly commercial the way it is - I can't stand it. I can't help but think "The trainers don't really endorse this, they are just being forced to say it is good."

I wish they would go into more detail on the dieting part.

As for the "14 hour challenge." It was 13-1/2 hours MINUS the 4 hour break! (Which thank goodness they took, because IMHO it was wreckless of the show to expect those contestants to work out for 14 hours in that heat!!)
I hate to say this, but I keep thinking it is only a matter of time before someone dies on this show. (I hope I am not right!)

It was making me nuts how Amy from the red team (?) was belly-aching about how she has never been away from her husband - I don't know if she meant the distance or the length of time - but HELLO what about the children you left at home??

As for Heba - yuck! I know someone on here knows her personally and says she is very nice - but she came across as a witch!

Heba displayed a common attitude among people who are generally unsuccessful in life. She allowed a personal problem with Phil to come between her and the best decision for herself going forward. I know, her team won the weigh-in last night. Still, I believe that going forward this will come back to hurt her, and it will all stem from her decision to succumb to the temptation to purposely hurt someone else because of some "no he didn'ttttttttttttt... who does this fool think he is?" moment.

I must admit that I'm disappointed with this season of the show. I think that the contestant decisions were poor, and that the "families" experiment is a disaster. They chose people who have shown themselves to be emotionally ill-equipped to handle the show and who haven't displayed the same kind of work ethic we've seen in prior seasons.

Because each person came with an enabler, they haven't had to forge the same kind of bond with their teammates that we've witnessed in prior seasons. For all of the shtick and sappiness of the Blue Team from last season, those guys bonded and they were all gamers and competitors. It was the same on the other side. Obviously, I know that last season was "couples." However, there were teams of people who were unrelated, who were friends, etc. I think the dynamic is different when you have a ONLY "parents and children" and "husbands and wives." There were some husbands and wives on last season, and none of them made it to the end (unless you count Kelly, who was on with her EX husband). Ali only made it to the end because of the lame plot twist that brought her back into the game.

I dunno, I guess I'm rambling at this point. Still, I think that this season has been disappointing when compared with the last few seasons of the show. The competitors don't seem to be working as hard and they spend an awful lot more time crying than doing just about anything else. Until this week, none of them owned up to the fact that this is a game, in which the only way you can remain safe is to lose as much weight as possible. I think they've relied on other members of their teams (and the general laziness of the whole crowd in general) to carry them this far.

Hopefully it gets better now that the chips are finally down.

I don't understand why everyone hates Heba. I guess I just don't see what all of you see. She seems like a fun, goofy, sarcastic kind of girl. And I like that. And more power to her for getting rid of someone on her team that she has issues with. Yeah, he's a guy so maybe he can lose more weight...but I wouldn't want someone I had issues with on my team either. It's not good for morale.

And I like that each team has one male on it. It makes it a little more even. A little more "exciting." (Although this season seriously lacks excitement.)

About the product placement and whatnot....Has anyone seen the movie "The Truman Show?" Remember the wife in that movie always doing commercials and stuff? That's what it reminds me of when they do it on The Biggest Loser.

Well, I for one am DONE watching this show.

This is the first season I have watched. I am trying to lose weight myself and joined the Biggest Loser Challenge on the WISH Board. I enjoyed the first week where the couples were introduced. I didn't like Jillian from the beginning. I have been seeing a "trainer" and if he ever treated me like she treats her clients, I would be out of there in a heartbeat. For the life of me I don't understand how she can be "motivating."

Last night was the final straw for me. Well, actually two final straws.

1. I couldn't believe the "challenge" had them eating candy! All of these people struggle with food issues and they put candy in front of them. It made me sick to my stomach. I see absolutely no entertainment value in that at all.

2. I thought Heba was trying to do a good thing in saying that she would eat one donut and then leave all the teams the same. I thought she was showing some leadership and saying that they could "out fox" the producers if they stuck together. I could see myself trying to do the same thing. But then Phil secretly got up and started eating! I thought Amy did the honorable thing by speaking up and saying she didn't like Heba's idea. Phil's behavior was totally dishonorable. And yet, not one person (either on the show or on this thread) called him on that! I just don't get it.

Well anyway, I am done. I don't like the idea of all this being a game. These are real people with a very serious health issue. They should be treated as such.

But it IS a game. They are there to lose weight, yes. But they are also trying to win money. They knew what they signed up for.

The actual challenge of the episode was when they were running hills.

The food part is just a temptation challenge. They've done those every season so I'm sure the contestants knew what they were in for. No one forced them to eat anything.

I got to agree with Jane here and add something about Phil.

Phil knows it's a game and knew that even if he didn't try and win the temptation that Heba would have more than likely found something to split he and his wife up. (Looking back it had been Heba and Vicki in cohoots from day 1 and neither seemed to like Phil). So why not try to win? He wasn't the only one who disliked Heba's controlling ways but he and Amy were the only ones with the guts to stand up to her.

I was just happy that the temptation food didn't have labels like "Krispy Kreme", "Entemmans". "Einstein Brothers", "Reeses" or I'd just now be coming off of a caffeine rush!

You are so right about Heba, I am the one that knows her personally. She is all those things. Remember, editing and editing. Each week it seems that they pick someone to "look bad" then next week you think "they are not that bad".

As far as the change goes, they had 10 mins, after a few mins Heba spoke up and offered an idea...while talking out what to do Phil was eating! Yes, I can see where it could get Heba  She was willing to eat to keep everyone together meaning she could have a bad week at scales. I was surprised with the wife calling someone a "B" I thought, wow not so nice as she would like everyone to think.

Again, it's all editing and it's a game, I'm not sure if this was a good thing or bad thing we all have to watch next week.

PS....I think the Michelle issue is just something to make Jillian look more soft around the edges and just don't care to see all the crying. She never came across as to wanting to go home....

I can understand why people would be disgusted by the temptations, but honestly, when they leave and go back to their real lives, they're going to be faced with SO many temptations. And how many friends or family members are going to be there to say, "oh come on, you can have that one cookie" or piece of cake, or cheeseburger, or whatever else. They are going to have to learn how to deal with food temptations just like they have to learn how to exercise and fuel their bodies the right way.

A lot of people are saying how this is the worst season, but I don't know, I'm still hooked. This is only the third season I've watched so far, but I'm still really into it, even though the constant crying and the ridiculous "commercials" are a bit much for me.

And the Michelle/Renee drama is confusing for me too. At first I felt really bad for Michelle and wondered how her mother could take her sisters and leave her, but somebody pointed out she was 20 at the time, so..

And Shellay looked AMAZING. :)

Of course Heba wanted to keep the teams the same, that way she had both men on her side and she would benefit. As far as Phil being "dishonorable", it's a GAME for goodness sake. I wish he had just eaten more so he could have won.

I really hope Heba goes home next week, I don't like her at all. The way that she acted when she won the challenge was just a turn-off to me. It's time for her to go home with her husband, I'm tired of hearing her whine about him being gone.

Yes...it is that exactly and they are ruining what is left of the show.

I will still watch but it will be alot of fast forwarding. :sad2:

Frankly if I had to pick a favorite it would be the ones they sent home already.

Vicky is just an evil, evil person! I couldn't believe her after the challenge! She's just an unpleasant person. And then she said she's basically only on the show to win money.

I really just can't believe someone like that exists. I wonder if she has any friends in real life.

Vicky and Heba are acting like they're on Big Brother with their alliances and
running back to each other when they hear something.

I wish they would go soon!!!

My Mom comes over on Tues and we watch. I told her that with the editing it looks like Vickie is going home. I guess we will have to see what happens. I hope Black wins the weigh in

I can't believe Vicky didn't want to see her kids.:sad2:

Heba and Vicky really have to go...

Do you think she and Brady came up with the story just to cause waves? I mean you would think that somewhere they would have had a camera to catch the conversation. I think they just wanted to solidify Amy P going home so that DH wouldn't do as good. IF that is true, I hope it backfires.

Vicky has got to go! I didn't like her from the begininng but man, I really don't like her now. She is so blatantly in this for only the money. She didn't even care about seeing her kids??? I mean, at least attempt to pretend to care about seeing her kids :sad2: DId you see her smirk when Brady only lost 3 lbs?? For crying out loud, try to cover it up a little.
I do think she and Brady made up that story about Phil just to cause problems. I really want her to go home

This is the second week they are not telling us how much they lost.:confused3 Maybe they are losing more sizes then weight or they are saving it for the finale.

Vicky and her eye rolling and smirking ......:headache: Her husband isn't much better.
