~ The Biggest Loser ~ FINALE ~ We have a winner!!!

This is my thought exactly. Neithe Amanda or Liz have a chance at beating Danny or Rudy. They are both at over 40% weight loss for the season and the women are only in the 30s. If Amanda tries for the at home prize, I think she has a better shot at it.
I don't know ... no one ever thought that Helen would beat Mike an Tara either. She lost 30 lbs between the semi-final and the finale. You're probably right, but I wouldn't discount the women. The men may run into something that will stall their weight loss from .75-1 lb PER DAY at home.

I haven't posted to this thread all season, but had to pass this tidbit along.

Last night I was shopping in the men's section at our local target and saw RUDY looking through the clothing. I couldn't believe it. The area we are from is very small, but I never thought I would ever run in to him. :goodvibes Just wanted to share.

My In-laws have an 80 acre farm in Brooklyn, does Rudy still live in Brooklyn or some other part of Northeast CT? We have watched the show all season and DH who lived his entire life in Brooklyn (which is a tiny little town) never knew of him or his family. Did you see him at the Target at that new shopping plaza in Dayville?

I will say I was sooooooo proud of the Final 4 running that marathon. ::yes:: I am in pretty good shape but I doubt very much without training for at least a year, could I run 26.2 miles.

Our late night News did a piece on the BL Ranch in Utah. I believe Tara is now an instructor/trainer there.....awesome for her!!!!!!! :goodvibes

The one thing about the final 4 running the marathon - even though they haven't been specifically training for a marathon all this time they have been working out for 8 hours or more each day. That does seem to help since they have gotten in shape and have been working out consistantly - their cardio and general fitness level is higher. Also I am pretty sure some of them do some running/jogging in their daily workout. I remember last season Tara was doing something like 6 miles a day. They had approx 60 days notice before the marathon - that was enough time to get in some longer distance runs - not sure if they did or not but they could have.

Someone asked a question of how long between last night and the finale.......here's what I figure

They left the ranch some time in August.....they started there the day after the finale in May and were there for 11 or 12 weeks. Sixty days out from that would put them into October.....so probably roughly a month and a half to 2 months between last night and next week

Danny has already lost 46.7442% of his original weight.
Rudy has already lost 42.7602% of his original weight.
Amanda has lost 32% of her original weight.
Liz has lost 31.8352% of her original weight.

Amanda on the show last night was 170. When she started, she was 250. In order to just be where Danny was as of last night (percentage wise), she needs to get to 116 by the finale, which means she has to lose an additional 54 pounds. She has only lost 16 pounds since leaving the ranch.

Liz on the show last night was 182. When she started, she was 267. In order to just be where Danny was as of last night (percentage wise), she needs to get to 124 by the finale, which means she has to lose an additional 58 pounds. She has only lost 16 pounds since leaving the ranch.

I just can't see it working out for either Amanda or Liz.

Do they go by there starting weight or their last weight in ? Because if is like you stated the girls don't have a chance.

they go by the total weight lost over the entire season.

Anyone else surprised about last nights episode running - I mean how much the contestants had lost - there won't be much shock factor left for the finale next week 'cause we had our shock factor last night. KWIM? I guess I think they should have made that as part of the finale or just not have sent them home for 60 days or something .

He is still in Brooklyn. And yes it was the Target in the new shopping plaza. He looked great (maybe a little tired-but it was 8:30 pm and he was in gym clothes). He was walking around the mens section. Picking up a few items, holding them up to himself. I tried not to stare didn't want to make him uncomfortable.:)

Darn, I just stopped shopping there because they opened the one in Lisbon. How cool to see him up close and in person.

I lived in Brooklyn for a few years so I've been rooting for him. Now if I could just buy my house back that we lived in. I need the room! LOL

That surprises me because I was thinking that she really didn't look that great last night. She definitely put some weight back on.

They still have plenty of time to lose a lot more. I think you'll still see some big changes.

OK....who else did not vote because they could care less who was in the final 3.:rolleyes1 It seemed pointless.

We didn't vote - I don't like either of the ladies that are left. Liz seemed too spiteful throughout many of the shows, and I don't get Amanda's "but America voted for me" line.

Amanda was selected at last season's finale out of two young women (I voted for the other one, BTW) who were vying for a spot on this season's show. So, "America voted" for her to be on the show to begin with. I think filming of the show started the very next day, so it's been quite a wild ride for her. I voted for Amanda.

I saw the season finale from last year where we were to choose between the two, but her whining about not wanting to let America down because they chose her got really old (to me).

Was that Sean, the pastor from the red team, that greeted Rudy when he came home? I sure thought it was.

Oh forgot to add some good news! Kristin (purple team from last year) just announced on Facebook that she is expecting a baby!! Congrats to her and her hubby. If you remember she said she needed to loose weight in order to be able to get pg

Not hugely fond of the final four, but my hope is for a win for Danny. Liz is a spiteful old hag, and Rudy seemed to turn on people fo rno reason. I like Amanda, but she has no shot at the title.
