The best, the worst...Bathrooms of the World!

What drives me most crazy are the women who wet the toilet seats and just leave it. If you are not going to aim correctly, atleast clean it up yourself!

Sorry, but true!

one of my favorite things about the washrooms at wdw is the open entrances. since far too many people don't wash appropriately, i am happy to not have to touch a door handle to exit a bathroom.

being a man, i guess i don't see how women can "miss" and hit the seat. no need to explain, i am just surprised to read this comment.

living in an area of texas that sees alot of mexicans on their way north, i see - way too often - the remnant of their bathroom habits - used toilet tissue in the trash can. thank the lord that i have never seen this in wdw.

I think the CMs gathering in the spots you listed were doing parade/fireworks clean up. That's what it sounds like based on the places you described. popcorn::

At MK there are people assigned to clean restrooms, and that's all they do during that shift. It pains me to hear when the MK restrooms aren't kept clean since when I worked there I tried very hard to keep them clean (and I loved when people thanked me :goodvibes ) Sometimes it's not the CM's fault if they are dirty since it could happen when they are on lunch break or they are in between restrooms (on Main Street, there is the possibility of cleaning 4 restrooms, not just one.) Sadly, there are CM's who don't take pride in keeping the restrooms clean simply because they don't like doing it. :sad1:

I also want to comment about the AK hand dryers. I love those too! It's so much fun to see the skin move because it's so powerful and fast drying :thumbsup2

This was not after or before a parade or even anytime near the fireworks. Just random times in the day. Once at around 11AM, another around 1PM, another was around 5:30PM at Town Square in DL. They were just shooting the breeze for a bit before they headed off to their locations is my guess.
I was surprised because I had NEVER seen custodial gather like that in the Park before.
But the Park was not filthy. So someone WAS working.:) coulda been a break or shift change too.

So far all bathrooms seemed alright to me. But in December the one that was the dirtiest was at Epcot, the American Pavillion. Kind of digusting at that time.

I thought this one was ok. I've never (in all two trips I've made to Epcot haha) had to wait in a line, and it's been pretty clean. I think it's because I overheard like four people saying, "Now WHERE is that bathroom?" Apparantly no one can find it :)

Now, the dirtiest one with the longest line is the one in MK near Mickey's Star Traders. It's always smelly, crowded, and dirty :(

It was Las Vegas that started me on the whole Cool Bathrooms thing ::yes:: I haven't been back in 10 years so I don't know if it's still there but the best one was the one in the Spacequest casino near the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton. It was very space-like and even had holographic images imbedded in the mirror that showed futuristic commercials while you washed your hands. Hubby told me that while he was doing his "business" , the urinal had a (fake) readout of the content of his "business" ;) :lmao:

We are going back to Vegas in October but unfortunately the STE is closing for good in September :sad2:

ITA! But before anyone gets upset about possible "racest coments", I think it's really just a function of what you're used to. In Mexico, as DDIL tells me, there's lots of homes without indoor plumbing like in the USA, so people are often not in the habit of flushing. And when there is flush, many places say to not put the toilet paper in the toilet because the plumbing can't handle it. I'm just trying to explain, so that hopefully no one flames you.

yeah, thanks. i tend to not worry about people taking offense when they don't know what they're talking about. perhaps though, you will have prevented some needless banter.

regardless of race or culture or remnant of third-world living conditions , it is a hopelessly foul habit.

on the other hand, there are apparently alot of americans who are ridiculously filthy and repulsive based on their own hygienic inadequacy...not a lack of functioning government service. hence, the need for a washroom review web page.

Yea, I find the people who don't flush to be pretty gross too! Now, being a man, I don't know what happens in the women's restroom, but I think it's just disgusting for a man to walk into a stall, "leave his mark" everywhere, then not clean up! Oh, and when they are um..."more productive" with their business and don't flush, that's even worse! Nobody wants to see that! I often wonder if people do that at their houses. Probably not, so why is it that people think it's ok to do at Disney, or any other public place? Is it because they know someone else will have to come along and take care of it?

Oddly enough, my friend used to be a lifeguard, and one of his jobs at the end of the day was to clean the restrooms at the pool, and he said that by far, the women's restroom was always more disgusting. If that's true, I feel sorry for women!

I think the cleanest thing in a men's bathroom at Disney or anywhere else is probably the diaper changing tables. Those barely get used at all:lmao:

THE WOST: The LTT BATHROOM- hands down!!!!!

RUNNER UP: The SHARED BATHROOM between H&V and 50s PT- ugh it's terrible!!!

Before we launch into a multiple page rant about people and their lack of bathroom manners, can we just remember that unflushed toilets are pretty much a non-issue at WDW since most of them have autoflush? I know that sometimes that malfunctions but in my experience, it hasn't been a huge problem there. So, why are we taking this thread down that road? Next, people will be getting into arguments about whether it is right to hoover or not.

I second the ladies room at V&A's as the best; I love that place (sigh-at least I get to see it again in less than two months:cool1: )

We go to LV every year for a quick weekend and as far as I can recall, the bathrooms are still something to behold :cheer2:

It's almost....too much, heh, for a bathroom. Mainly I just appreciate cleanliness. I don't need glam or themes (though that is certainly fun every now and then).

One thing though, cleaning public bathrooms, especially those in busy, family-oriented parks, has to be one of the least recognized and dirty jobs. I understand that sometimes things get behind the 8 ball. I try to keep that in mind, but I definitely take note when things are spectacular *or* foul.

I especially loved being escorted to the bathroom by my own personal attendant from the chef's table! :goodvibes

I totally agree with you! That H&V and 50's prime time restroom is crowded, and icky! It's probably the only real restroom line I had to wait in. I have no idea why they decided that these two restaurants needed to share?!

Yup, it would be a hard job! Everytime I saw a bathroom attendant at WDW when I was taking my pics, I made sure to thank them for doing a great job! Most of them were very happy to hear that! ::yes::

The bathroom by Cosmic Rays, was the worst i've ever been to anywhere. No one flushed or put their feminine products away. It was beyond nasty.

Other than that one they have been clean. The 1900 Park Fare area bathroom -nothing to do w/ the restaurant- is so small there is a long wait sometimes.

The worst used to be the one in the lobby for Teppenyaki in Japan. I really hope that the renovations improved/enlarged it. The best is near the Bellevue room in the Boardwalk. It's always pristine-I don't think anyone even knows it's there.
