The best, the worst...Bathrooms of the World!

The bathrooms at the WL are very nice. One in the lobby near the Whispering Canyon Cafe....always clean and lovely to look at. Plus child height sink if I am remembering correct. And the bathroom near Artist Point, very clean, quiet, nicely appointed.
The lobby bathroom at the Beach Club. Has always been clean and quiet. Nice basket of washclothes too.....

Bathroom near the Artist Palette in Saratoga Springs is nice. Lots of stalls and has always been clean and quiet when we have gone in there.

Bathroom in MK between Adventureland and Frontierland is nice. Lots of stalls.
And I like the bathroom in the restaurant in Germany. Not sure if that is the same bathroom others have mentioned on here. But I have always found it to be clean.

There is a fan website for Disneyland's bathrooms, it's called The Happiest Potties on Earth. It has the location of all bathrooms with statistics (automatic/manual flushers, faucet type, etc.) and also ratings for each. Plus trivia and other things. It hasn't been updated in years though, and now it seems to be a part of the Mouseplanet website.

I know it doesn't have anything to do with WDW, but it's intriguing nonetheless. People love their Disney potties, I guess.

Lol - that could've come in handy, after dd got her auto-flush phobia! One flushed while she was on it, and the last couple days of our trip were pretty dicey, looking for non-automatic ones!

Dd also really loved any bathroom with the short sink counters - just her height! Most of the bigger ones seemed to have them, tho I didn't keep track of which did and didn't.

I amazes me when I see some of these dirty bathrooms. How can people be like that? It's not just at WDW.Some of it is from kids but not all! Clean up after yourself! You wouldn't do that at home!

A tip that I've read on these boards for auto-flush phobia is to cover the toilet sensors with Post-It Notes. :thumbsup2

The worst one by far was the one upstairs by the Teppenyaki resturant in Japan in Epcot. I went there just before the place was closed for the big rehab, and I remember thinking, "Boy, I hope they're going to rehab these bathrooms!" Besides being dirty, there was a line to use the restrooms because they were so small. And this was in January-I can't imagine the line in "prime season".

This is the only bathroom I remember as being bad during any of our visits and it was disgusting!!! Bad even for a regular amusement park bathroom.:scared:

I think the nicest bathrooms are the ones that have been redone at Ft Wilderness. The worst is the one by Auntie Gravitys in Tomorrowland. They are awful.

I think the bathrooms behind Peter Pan are disgusting- every time we have been there, they have been gross.

I've always found the most important thing about the restrooms is TIMING. You want to be where no one else is. If you're at World Showcase and it's not peak meal-time, use one of the restaurant restrooms. I'm not giving away my other secrets.

My restroom story (pretty much for guys)... I was at a urinal at EPCOT (I think near Germany) and the drunk guy next to me said, "I want to marry a Sloane girl.. they must be rich." I didn't quite follow that until he explained that the valve on the urinal was clearly labelled "Royal Sloane." He told me, "Look at them... every urinal valvue in the world is a Sloane." It's pretty much true.... and I check every time.

Like I told my husband...I can find out anything I need to know on the disboards :worship: :lmao:

Best=the bathroom in my resort room! :thumbsup2

ABSOLUTE WORST=the "princess" bathroom near Peter Pan's Flight in MK:sick: That is hands down one of the grossest places I've ever stepped into. People should be ashamed of themselves with the nasty way they leave that place-certainly not "princess-like" behavior-EWW!:scared:

When I was down there in November I only encountered one icky bathroom and for the life of me can't remember where it was. I want to say it was somewhere in Epcot, maybe by Mexico? I was impressed with the hand dryers in AK, dry in 2 seconds flat!

MK: BEST - First thing in the morning, fam goes to Space Mountain and I hit the bathrooms to the right (if you're looking at Space). Huge and sparkling clean first thing in the morning. WORST - Behind Peter Pan, overused.

HS: BEST - The bathroom over to the left if you're looking at Rockin' Rollercoaster. No one knows it's there. WORST - right outside of ToT, crowded, overused, lots of "sick" people.

AK: BEST - Most are nice here. Tusker House was my favorite, but since it's changed to the character meal, probably crowded. WORST - by the exit to Kali River Rapids. Not that it's dirty, but the floor is always wet from Kali patrons and the sprinkler that's near by. I went flying on that wet floor!

EPCOT: BEST - new bathroom at the Soarin' ride. How convenient! WORST: any bathroom over in Futureworld. Totally hard to find, and it seems like I come out in a different place then when I went in.

And I had to laugh about Morocco. DH likes this bathroom . . . which means none of you should want to use it.

Worst ones ever were near Germany at Epcot. Every single stall was disgusting, we mentioned it to a cast member so hopefully it got cleaned after that.
Best I have ever seen was in the Beach Club lobby.

Yes, the Beach Club lobby restroom is gorgeous. I think it's the best one I've seen.

Also, the bathroom just outside the international gate at EPCOT is clean, large and usually not crowded.

The small bathrooms by Canada at WS is one of the worst...as is the bathroom in MK over by City Hall and before the barber shop.

Count me in as a bathroom freak. I loved seeing the park-bathroom-breakdown link :thumbsup2 Not much gets me ranting or grossed out, but I get pretty squicked out in public bathrooms, so it's something I pay attention to. And now more so than ever, taking two toddlers in and out of them.

Another place that has pristine (if not totally gorgeous as well) bathrooms is Las Vegas (the strip hotels, specifically, but I am sure most do). And not just in the hotel rooms, but any bathroom within the hotel premises, even the off to the side ones that would seem hardly used.

On our first trip there, my husband and I had fun just checking out different bathrooms. I started taking pics until my 'uhm wth are you doing-meter' kicked in.

The Best: The one that is close

The Worst: One that is far.

:rotfl:

True that!!!!

Last trip (May 08) I noticed an overall decline in the upkeep of all the bathrooms at the WDW. Even at Disneyland (June 08 and 3 trips prior) the bathrooms are not clean like they used to be.

It is a shame, as I remember the Disney Park bathrooms as the cleanest and *happiest*;) bathrooms on earth! You just knew the restrooms would be clean. Not any more. It seems there is just not the same pride as there used to be. We have gone to City Hall more times in the past 3 trips to tell them of REALLY dirty bathrooms (one of which was the restroom right next to City Hall OOPS! ), than we did in the 10 trips before that.

I have on many occasions seen groups of 5-7 custodial CMs gathering and talking in the Hub, in Frontierland once, at the Adventureland bridge, and other spots in the Parks. Now maybe they were being given their area assignment, but it appeared to me to be just chatting away. I sat nearby and listened in once. No talk of job, that's for sure.

I have never in years past, ever seen groups of custodial CMs gathering to chat out in the Parks. I HAD seen custodial CMs doing their jobs in the restrooms or on the streets or in the Lands.

To be fair there WERE MANY custodial CMs doing their jobs. I thanked each and every female custodial CM I saw cleaning a restroom, as I only used the Women's Room. I have no idea about the Men's rooms. The CMs looked haggard and tired, trying to keep up with the mess. I know they were working hard to keep the bathrooms clean and God Bless them for that! Kudos to those CMs!

It is sad. The restrooms seem to be dirtier too, more paper products flung all over the place, water all over the floors, dirty diapers left on the counters...yuck!

That being said, the cleanest ones we found were in the resorts, The Polynesian and the Yacht Club. The bathroom out by Stormalong Bay near the Beach Club was the CLEANEST one I saw our whole trip. That is a sad testament to the Disney legacy of clean restrooms.

I think the CMs gathering in the spots you listed were doing parade/fireworks clean up. That's what it sounds like based on the places you described. popcorn::

At MK there are people assigned to clean restrooms, and that's all they do during that shift. It pains me to hear when the MK restrooms aren't kept clean since when I worked there I tried very hard to keep them clean (and I loved when people thanked me :goodvibes ) Sometimes it's not the CM's fault if they are dirty since it could happen when they are on lunch break or they are in between restrooms (on Main Street, there is the possibility of cleaning 4 restrooms, not just one.) Sadly, there are CM's who don't take pride in keeping the restrooms clean simply because they don't like doing it. :sad1:

I also want to comment about the AK hand dryers. I love those too! It's so much fun to see the skin move because it's so powerful and fast drying :thumbsup2

As a bonus:
Here's a link to a FAN SITE that features
PHOTOS of all the WDW RESTROOM Entrances.

http://www.cassworld.ca/photosbathrooms.htm

Hey, does WDW offer chances for a DIVERSITY of interests, or what?

I quite enjoyed this page! Thanks for the link.

I was sooo impressed with the cleanliness of the washrooms in WDW! I don't recall any that were dirty. I had two favourites: 1. The washroom right inside the entrance of Epcot. 2. The washroom in Victoria and Albert's.
