Hi everyone,
I am just wondering how is the Beach Club resort? Like did you like it and why, did you not, negative comments, positive comments of your feelings for this resort. THANKS SOOO MUCH!!!!

We have stayed @ the BC for our last 3 trips and we looooove it. The negative is that you have to get a bus or boat to MK-not really very long waits for those, but if being right there is a big deal for your trip, it's gonna seem far. My kids loved being at the CR or Poly and doing the monorails the whole trip!!
BC has the best pool!! My children were appeased with it;) It's really great. Also, we eat @ Epcot in a different country every night, and it's so nice to just walk over to the World Showcase-and then at closing just walk back and not wait for buses, boats, or monorails!!
The rooms are really relaxing-softer colors and our mousekeepers have always been wonderful. If you get a room closer to the quiet pool, you are right around the corner from the laundry area and that's closer to the International Gateway you use for Epcot entrance.
Beaches and Cream has the best ice creams-you gotta go!!
You can also walk to the Hollywood Studios-taking a path by the Boardwalk -very convenient. We definitely get our walking in on these trips-we walk everywhere we can!! I think you will be very pleased with it. And if you go, make sure you meet Art the Greeter. He's the man that welcomes you to the Beach Club-I forget how many years he's been there- but we all just love him!!!

i lOVE this resort! :lovestruc it is very relaxing without feeling isolated. the staff is wonderful. the location is the best. great restaurants near by, pretty decorated rooms. being able to walk to epcot and dhs is very nice. the only downside is the bus to akl, you can share with s/d and bwi and yc. aside from that it is our favorite resort so far. go and have a great time. :thumbsup2

We stayed at BC on our most recent trip in May and loved some parts and didn't like others.

Positives:
  • Awesome location! (can walk easily to EPCOT; lots of restaurant choices at Boardwalk and other nearby hotels)
  • Beautiful decorating and theming; the flower arrangements in the lobby were beautiful
  • Cape May Cafe for dinner was great; Beaches and Cream for desserts is yummy
  • Movies on the beach - fun
  • Pool is huge; kids loved the slide

Negatives:
  • Bus service was horribly horribly slow to MK, DTD, AK (and sharing some buses with a total of 5 resorts on 1 bus was ridiculous)
  • Wish there was a more substantial food court area for quick meals

My parents loved it because of the location; DH and I won't be rushing back due to the very slow bus service.

Reasons we love BC:

> location = walk to both Epcot and HS and also right next to the boardwalk. It's hard to beat that! We normally walk to Epcot almost every night so the kids can do the Kidcot stations and we can also have a nice meal in a different country. It's SO awesome to watch Illuminations or Fantasmic and be able to simply walk back to BC afterward. This is especially helpful and convenient when you have strollers and sleeping kids. Also, being within a 5-minute walk of the boardwalk, you can enjoy the entertainment there, restaurants, Espn Club, bakery, rent surrey bikes, etc.

> pool = one of the best pools in disney. It has an entire section for kids that has a sandy-bottom, very shallow water, and also mounds of sand to play in. Then other sections with deeper water. A small slide and also a big slide.

> restaurants = endless options within walking distance, including Epcot countries, BC/YC restaurants, boardwalk restaurants.

The only negatives (to us...) include:
> no food court
> not all rooms have full balconies

To us, the positives outweigh the negatives by a long shot. While we do like food courts for our kids, we find that there is enough of a food section all around the BC area that makes up for it.

I also love this resort. We stayed here a couple of years ago and had such a great experience. We were also lucky enough to be upgrade to the concierge level from a garden room.

I loved being so close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The pool is something else and the quiet pools are also very nice.

I do agree with the negatives. The bus service to AK and MK were slow. A bunch of times we go off the bus at Yatch Club and walked over to our room. Or we walked over to the swan and dolphin and got on the bus there. I also agree with limited food court but the Snack bar at the pool servered really good food.

If we could afford it we would stay here all teh time.

And we are now spoiled!! We were also upgraded to concierge and we will have to wait a while to go again because my husband only wants to go back to BC. We had a great view of SAB and loved the snacks in the lounge. As others have mentioned, you can't beat the location... not just to Epcot and MGM, but also to the Boardwalk. The only bus problem we had was to DD, and I decided that from now on with the all the great restaurants so nearby, I won't miss DD on future trips. We were at MK for rope drop, and we didn't notice problems with the bus. When we stayed at WL, we also shared buses with the GF, Poly etc... It's just part of the Disney trip. If you stay on the monorail , you stil have to deal with the bus issues for other parks.

The whole place was so clean and beautiful, and there were always cast members walking around the lobby just in case you needed any information. One day we came back from MK, and it was drizzling. There were cms standing at the door with baskets of warm towels for guests to dry off with. In the lobby restrooms, they had cloth hand towels. The life guards were always organizing activities, and I was really impressed with the way they supervised the whole pool area. My boys loved SAB even though they do have to leave your sight to get up on the big slide.

I can't wait to go back!!

Add us to the list of those that LOVE it! We've stayed there our past 3 trips and we can't tear ourselves away.

The location is wonderful, the pool is amazing and the staff is great. It just has such a relaxed atmosphere. It's our favorite resort by far. Have a great trip!

BC is by far our favorite resort in WDW.

We love being able to walk to Epcot and walk/boat to DHS. In December we never waited longer then 5-10 minutes for a MK, AK, DTD bus. And we only shared with YC the whole week we were there.

There is no food court but there is the marketplace cafe. We loved their made-to-order yogurt parfaits in the AM and their made-to-order salads in the PM. They do have a drink station for the refillable mugs.

Another plus is Art the greeter. He's awesome. So nice and helpful.

One of my favorites:

Pros:
I'm the opposite, I love that there is no food court, they remind me too much of my local mall.
Location, location, location
Beaches & Creams. Great soda shop type food. Onion rings are divine (this is not the place to go on a diet)
Cape May cafe: Fun place for a character meal.

Cons:
Beaches & Cream is small and doesn't take ADR's. The wait at prime dining hours can be 1 hour or more.
Lobby can be noisey.

We've stayed there many times and I agree with the positives already listed. To add one, entering EPCOT during EMH morning hours lets you see World Showcase when it's empty, which is very cool. The negative is that you're not as quick to reach the open Future World attractions as those guests entering the other gate.

It depends on when you go how the bus service is. Sometimes, the bus will go to Boardwalk, Swan & Dolphin, Yacht Club and Beach Club. Not sure it still does this because the last few times we went, I think the buses usually just went to Yacht and Beach Club, but I think I've read that it'll go to others still at times. I really dislike when the bus goes to all the other resorts in the area because it just takes a really long time that way. Also, I agree that it can be a while waiting for a bus to MK or AK or DTD. But the resort is beautiful, peaceful, definitely feels like you're somewhere on the east coast shore, and I love that. The staff is great, mousekeeping is great, and everyone is very friendly and nice. We stayed there once in connecting rooms -- my boys were about 10 and 11 years old and staying in the second room. My younger DS was throwing something up in the air and it hit and broke the ceiling fan! We reported it and offered to pay for the damage of coruse, but the CM just said "it happens all the time" and they fixed it right away. I was very pleased with all of our trips there, although I do prefer it when we have a full balcony or patio. The small balconies really aren't worth what you pay for the resort, IMO.

I'm staying at the Poly for the first time with my youngest child, DD18 (hard to believe all three are adults now!) and just thought we'd try the Poly after doing the Beach Club (or SOG) for our other visits, but I know I'll always love the Beach Club. :)
