The Amazing Race 7...official Thread

Lynn & Alex also made a rude comment about Gretchen & Meredith. Remember one of them said "they'll probably get lost, they are so stupid!" They do make me laugh sometimes though, like putting on all those clothes!

So sorry to see the brothers go. I loved the comment "we should be dating!" I was going nuts when they stopped to change their clothes. Hopefully it wasn't close at all or that would be a real killer to lose because of that.

Ron & Kelly need to go - - for their own good! They are getting on each other's nerves and mine!

Gretchen & Meredith are amazingly lucky or just plain amazing. I haven't figured out which!

I love Uchenna & Joyce! I would like them to come in 2nd. They seem so strong in their marriage but didn't Joyce say recently that before coming on the show their marriage was shaky or some such comment? They're great! I don't recall them ever making a rude comment about another team and giving some clothes to G&M was beyond nice!

Rob & Amber - - rooting for them to win! I was rooting for the brothers w/Rob & Amber in 2nd but now I'll root for them! I'm a huge Survivor fan so I gotta go with Romber!

Best part about this episode was the awesome wildlife! WOW!

What a crappy episode. My favorite team lost and my least favorite team won.

Here is my take on the teams:

TTWSNBN: They didn't do anything to piss me off this episode, except win another trip :sad2:. They worked well together and didn't fight. Kudos for that.

Ron & Kelly: What's up with Kelly? She was itching for a fight all day. As much as Ron isn't my favorite, he didn't deserve what she was dishing out today. I think they raced well ... and Ron was right ... I would expect a dancer to have more balance. However, I would have started with something easier than the water.

Uchenna & Joyce: They really did rock at the head balancing thing. I was really impressed :). I was amused that he essentially said the same thing as Lynn (he was "born to it"), but from him it was upbeat and sincere. I was surprised that Phil has them re-do the task instead of issuing a penalty. They need to read the clues better.

Lynn & Alex OK, I'll get the bad stuff out of the way first. I think Lynn shoots his mouth off without engaging his brain first. I admit, since I like them, I don't want to think of them as racist. However ... two such comments in 2 episodes has me feeling uncomfortable with them. I hope they redeem themselves in the next episode. As an openly gay couple, I would think they would be a little more sensitive about the whole prejudice thing. Now for the good stuff ... I was really impressed on how he coached Alex through the Roadblock. It was perfect :). And when Lynn asked Alex to wear his underwear on his head :rotfl:. I also LOL when they were so surprised to be 4th and not last: "Really?!?!"

Meredith and Gretchen: We didn't see a lot of them this episode. I kept on waiting for them to get lost, but they didn't. They keep plugging along and beating out the other teams. It's pretty amazing ;).

Brian & Greg: I am soooo bummed they are gone. They were my favorite team, although their lack of direction finally did them in. It would have been hilarious if this were a non-elimination round. Can you imagine them racing around the world in those get-ups? They were all-around nice guys and I'm sorry to see them go.

The wildlife was amazing. What I have noticed in this AR is the teams aren't traveling as far between legs of the races. I miss the rush to buy airline tickets and going to many different continents. This AR the teams have only been to South America and Africa.

Awesom Wildlife!

Ok it is time for Ron and Kelly or Lynn and Alex to go!

Kelly just gets on my nerves argggg and the two I am better than you boys just ticked me off! But they did make me laugh tonight layering on all the extra clothes.

I am torn now between Uchenna and Joyce or the Romber to win!

This is getting good can not wait til next week!

Thanks for posting that!! Wow, Rob looks really hot in that pic :teeth:

That's what I was thinking. He's definitely looking real good in that picture!

Joyce and Uchenna have been my favorites from the start. I really thought they were going to be eliminated when they didn't pick up the post.

Loved the wildlife and loved everyone's reaction to it.

I,too, wonder why Rob and Amber always get a prize for first and when others finish in first it seems that they don't get a prize. Just odd-not a set up just strange.

READ YOUR CLUES PEOPLE.... man what my second grade teacher still holds true. Read all of the instruction carefully. Tonight was terrible in that regard. Meredith and Gretchen as well as the brothers both initially didn't catch the go through "whatever town" and then get to the water tower. Then both Uchenna and Joyce and Meredith and Gretchen get sent back to complete the challenge.

As far as someone saying don't do the water first...I have to disagree because if you try the hardest first and can't do it then you waste less time than if you do the easy stuff first and then have to change tasks because the water was too hard to complete.

I'm amazed at the number of people that don't like Gretchen and Meredith and do like Romber. Both teams have played well and have been nice to each other, but G & M have never been rude to other teams. So what is it that is so unlikable? If anything, they should also get extra props for their age. I really really dislike Romber, so maybe I'm just partial to anyone BUT them.

That was me. I thought Uchenna and Joyce did it in the right order. They tried something easy first so they could get the hang of it and then moved onto the water.

Where's the picture(pg # please) :flower:
Ah I found the link-thanks anyways

The pictures are on the CBS Survivor website. It shows each team and who has been eliminated.

Once again I am impressed by how well Rob and Amber work together.
GO ROMBER!!!!!!

Thanks for posting the spoiler. Very interesting and makes me feel a little bit better about the other spoiler posted (about the winner).

Count me in as another person sad to see the brothers go. I SO wanted them to still be in the race! Too bad those fun outfits didn't work for them.

The boyfriends. I have had enough already. I can not believe the awful comments coming from their mouths. Rude! Racist! I was shocked.

Question though... why did the boyfriends get a replacement vehicle the second time? I could understand the first time, when the Rover was leaking, but the flat tire was their own fault. They ran over the stick. When the brothers got a flat tire on the bikes, they didn't get replacement bikes. There was a spare on the back of the vehicle. I don't know why they weren't forced to change it. :confused3

I laughed so hard when te brothers started the race and said, "Big Bucks! Big Bucks! No Wammies" Showing my age!! So said to see them go. They were great! Maybe they will do an AR allstars and they can come back!

I thought this episode was boring racewise. The animals were great but there was no real chance to catch up if you were behind. I wonder if some stuff was edited out. It seemed like it was do a task and go to the pit stop. And the task wasn't as challenging as it initially seemed. Now if they had to move 5 branches and go thru a hugh croc. lake, maybe. I wish they would post times when teams arrive at the pitstop. You can figure it out the next week but we'll never know how far behind the brothers were tonight.
When they showed Meredith and Gretchen go back, I thought it was the gay couple's jeep in the background, not the brothers.
As far as kelly, you never know what Ron said that was edited out. Rob made the comment that Kelly didn't milk the goat because she didn't want to break a nail but she said Ron wouldn't let her.

I remember reading somewhere the U+J worked for Enron and WorldCom (don't remember which one worked for which) and that created problems for them.

Yes, the race was kinda boring last night...but even *I* was in awe of the wildlife. Heck - I get the chills on the safari ride at Animal Kingdom...I could watch giraffe all day. That was just amazing for me.

And the ostrich...heheh...has anyone taken the Sunset Safari at AKL and met "one eyed Mary"? yep...an ostrich that has one eye and freaks out some people...I kept waiting for her to attack the Rovers!

Ok - I love Lynn and Alex. All comments aside (come one, not ALL of us are polite and peachy keen 24/7 in our lives!) they crack me up and I think they work really well together. Lynn was great at coaching alex through the roadblock, and when they got their THIRD truck I loved it when he said something like "ok - let's see if we can break this one too"

Rob/Amber...they work good as a team. I have to hand it to them. However it IS quite odd that every leg THEY win they get a trip or something.

Ron/Kelly...omg, that boy needs to drop that drama queen. I couldn't believe she yelled at him when they were getting on the mat. He was shaking rob's hand (a total of, what, 15 seconds maybe?) and she's yelling at him "get on the mat, we're losing time!" and pointing like he's a 4 year old. I dunno...she DOES need to chill.

Thanks to whoever pointed out the spoiler (the pictures)...very interesting. I did read a while about about who may "win"...and I wouldn't be suprised.

Don't forget to watch The Early Show on CBS to see more of an interview with the eliminators....

I was so sorry to see the brothers go! Their circa 1985 OP swim trunks were hilarious :rotfl2: The fur hat and the Officer Poncherello sunglasses really made the look complete :rotfl: I SO wanted that leg to be a non-elimination round!!

Meredith and Gretchen rock!! I can't believe how far they've made it :) I don't think that they'll win, but boy are they doing all right so far. I'd love to see them in the final 3...I don't think that it will happen, though.

Ron and Kelly are driving me nuts. They need to go. I couldn't believe it when she called him "redneck white trash" or whatever last night. I wonder if that comment was in the Bible that she was priding herself on reading that morning :rolleyes2

Uchenna and Joyce are just having a great time, so I'm rooting for them now. They have good attitudes! Also, I hope that they decide to pursue adoption after the race, because they would make great parents IMHO.

Lynn and Alex are annoying, but nothing new there. I so wish that they'd been forced to change their own tire rather than getting yet another new truck

Romber is working well together as usual. I still really like them. Obviously, they are well-suited to each other. I wouldn't mind seeing them win either :)

DH and I thought the same thing. It seems like in past races there was a team that had to change a flat. Or how about the time that a team put regular gas in a diesel engine? The team was responsible for fixing that situation by getting someone to siphon off the diesel.

We sooo wanted this to be a non-elimination round! The thought of the brothers traveling in those outfits had us ROTFL! They did just the exact opposite of Lynn & Alex---stripped down their clothing instead of piling it on!

Kind of boring race wise but I did enjoy seeing the wildlife. Seemed like the other teams really enjoyed that too.

Lynn & Alex: I do not think their comment was that bad & I am pretty sure Lynn did not say it in a racist way. U + J were the ONLY ones that could do the balancing challenge, not even R+A could do it!
I think Lynn is one of those people who don't think before he speaks, but I love the way he coaches Alex through the roadblock. Love their reaction when they found out there were not last!!!! :rotfl:
Lynn & Alex are my favorite team right now.

Uchenna + Joyce: Love them also! If Lynn & Alex don't win, I would love to see them win it. Can't believe they messed up on the roadblock & had to redo it. They are pretty lucky they didn't lose their 3rd place.

Ron & Kelly: Never really thought much about this team, but it seemed like she was trying to pick a fight with Ron. I would like to see them as the next team to go

Meredith and Gretchen: Surprised they are still in it. Would like to see them make it to the final three. Gretchen seemed like she was really enjoying seeing the wildlife.

The Brothers: Sorry to see them go.....they added some comedy to the show.

Rob & Amber.... :crazy2: Can't wait until they are elimated!!!!!!!!

Any idea what time the segment with the eliminated AR team comes on the Early Show. I started watching at about 7:45 a.m, have I already missed it?
