The Amazing Race 7...official Thread

They were on early, at 7:40. They just said they made a lot of mistakes on this last leg. They also said they were really far behind the other teams and pretty much expected to be eliminated. I'm so sad to see them go. I really enjoyed watching them. I'm not a big fan of any of the remaining teams, so it won't be as fun to watch now. :(

Lynn and Alex disgust me. I cannot wait to see them eliminated. :sad2:

I was sad to see the brothers go.. they were pretty funny and entertaining and one of my favorite teams.

Say what you want about Rob and Amber, but they show nothing but respect for each other which is normally in very short supply for couples in this race.

Gretchen and Meredith are kicking butts.. good for them! As long as she stops nagging him to "FIX YOUR HAIR" as they are running up to the pit stop..lol :rotfl:

I was also surprised that L&A didn't have to change the tire themselves. Also at how fast their replacement vehicles got to them. Another thing that I thought they would have been stuck with a penalty on was that Lynn (He is the bigger guy, right?) kept getting out of the vehicle to instruct Alex how to hook up the logs. I thought they couldn't help the other person doing the roadblock. Nobody else got out of the cars.. just cheered (or in Kelly's case, griped) from the inside.

I was so sad to see the brothers go! They were one of my all time favorite teams. Really funny and nice and enjoying the race.

I feel bad for the Beauty Queen. I know she was picking a fight, but I kept thinking...the poor thing probably has PMS! I know I would be no better under those conditions! It actually made me laugh.

Rooting for Rob/Amber. I am truly impressed with how they treat each other. Love this show!

I really miss the airport ticket dramas. We have hardly seen any of that on this race :guilty: It looks like they go to India next week, so maybe there will be some airport drama on the next episode.

I have to say that I think the spoiler would have to come true for Rob and Amber not to win the race. It makes sense for the other spoilers to come true too.

I actually am a little disappointed with this season because it seems that all the teams that are left (with the exception of Rob and Amber and Kelly and Ron) are full of teams that have a lot of trouble reading the clues and completing the tasks correctly. I like Joyce and Uchenna, but they mess up tasks and get lost quite a bit. Same with Gretchen and Meredith. However there are usually equalizers, so it doesn't hurt them too much. I just don't want to see a mediocre racing team win, that is all, but it will probably happen.

Ron and Kelly have got to go! She is being MISERABLE right now, and Ron doesn't appear to be the nicest guy either. He is awfully chovenistic for my tastes, but she doesn't help matters with her constant complaining. Obviously they edited out his comment to her, I doubt she would make it up especially since there are cameras right there recording every moment. Time for them to go!

I thought Lynn and Alex's comments were kind of funny last night, except for the one about Joyce and Uchenna. Still want to see them go though. Meredith and Gretchen are getting very lucky too. I respect what they have accomplished due to their age, but I don't think they deserve to win. They have made way too many mistakes!

Don't forget the clip show tonight, I bet it will be pretty funny and may solve some of those editing questions we have raised.

Where they in an actual Game Preserve last night. People were talking in my house and I couldn't hear some of the clues being read.

Having a memory loss please remind me who won the 2 cars when they came in first???

Hi Arelene---- It was Ray and Deanna who won the cars. That has been the most expensive 1st place prize given.

Nancy

I, too, was sad to see the brothers go. Not surprised, as they've had "problems" before. ;) What a way to go, :rotfl2: cracked me up when they changed!

For anybody who saw them on CBS this am, did they comment on their accident from last week and what happened with the cameraman?

I think Amber has found her life's "calling", milking goats! She was a PRO! :rotfl:

Go Rob & Amber!! They seem to be really enjoying the race & respect each other & their surroundings.

After them, I guess I like Joyce & Uchenna. I like him more than her, don't know why.

Ron & Kelly don't bug me too much. She is definitely a drama queen.

Meredith & Gretchen. Ugh, I don't know what it is about them, but the annoy the heck out of me. I have to give 'em credit though, they are definitely hanging in there.

Lynn & Alex, I can't wait for them to be eliminated. I HOPE they are eliminated. DH & I about died when they made the comment about U & J, then when they said M & G were stupid, I thought "how can people like these guys". Then when they were putting on extra clothes I was cracking up.

I was sooo sad to see the Brother's go, I wanted them to win.

Can't wait for tonight's recap.

Joyce was out of the car with Uchenna when he only grabbed the flag, not the entire post. I looked over to my DH and asked why she was allowed to get out of the car. Then Lynn coached Alex outside the car too.

I was also disappointed that Lynn and Alex didn't have to fix their own flat tire. Just giving them another vehicle made it too easy for them.

I am trying to remember the prizes and order.... I thought a pattern is emerging. Does this sound right?

1st episode - Debbie & Bianca $10000 each
2nd episode - Romber - trip
3rd episode - Lynn & Alex - nada
4th episode - Romber - trip #2
5th episode - Ray & Deana - cars
5th episode part 2 - Ron & Kelly - nothing
6th episode - Romber - trip #3

we will see if it holds up. :)

Wow, we agree so much.....amazing. (Except Baseball. LOL)

I can stand the "boys", Lynn & Alex. Their derrogatory comments are getting tiring and quite prejudicial, if you ask me. They ought to look in a mirror before they start with their rude, obnoxious comments. They probably didn't have to change the tire 'cause they'd still be there trying to figure out how.

I was talking to DH (and I guess both of us didn't hear the entire "roadblock clue") 'cause we were commenting on how come the driver kept getting out and doing all the work, while the other person just sat around. It now makes sense reading everyone's posts.

I'm glad Rob & Amber are still going strong. They are being respectful to one another and using their heads. Loved Rob's comment "we've got no friends here, so let's just get going"...or something to that effect. They also look like they are so enjoying the race too.

Gretchen & Meredith - I must admit that in the beginning I couldn't stand her. She really got on my ever lasting nerve and I couldn't wait for them to go. They deserve a lot of credit. They are "older" (let's say) than the rest of those in the race and they are really giving everyone a run for their money. I'd love to see them beat Lynn & Alex next round!

Uchenna & Joyce - Don't like 'em....never have. Want to see Lynn & Alex leave first though.

GI JOE and Beauty Queen - Can take them or leave them - although in the beginning I was definitely leaving them. Definitely do not want them to win, but there are others I'd rather see leave first.

not to start anything...but how is that comment not rude?

see...like I said before..not everyone is "nice and peachy keen 24/7" .

don't mean to use you as an example...but, well...

I messed up last week and only got the 1st hour so I had to have my Mom mail me a recording so I just finished the 2 hour episode about 30 minutes before last nights' new epsiode. :) Four hours of AR this week (including the recap show)...I am in heaven. :)

TTWSNBN :rotfl: - Well I am a big fan but I was disappointed that they didn't at least slow down and ask if help was needed and make sure everyone was OK. For the most part I love the way they are playing. Sure it is dirty sometimes but it is a race and Rob has brought AR to a new level IMHO. I love some of his comments and he provides a bit of comic relief.

The brothers :( - I am SO upset that they were eliminated. They were my favorite team. They worked well together and they could be so funny. I about died at their check-in outfits. It would have be hilarious to see them try to finish the race with those clothes. :)

The boyfriends (Chip & Dale :rotfl: ) - Some of their comments have not been very nice but at least they have stopped obssessing so much about TTWSNBN. Personally, I think one that complains about them the most (Lynn?) has a crush on Boston Rob! :rotfl: He doth protest a bit too much.... ;)

Uchenna and Joyce - For some reason I am not really connecting with them. I don't like them and I don't dislike them. I agree with several others that I seem to like Uchenna a little more than Joyce but once again I have no real reasons for feeling that way.

Meridith and Gretchen - I also don't really connect with them a lot. I do think that she is one tough lady and I like her more since her accident in the cave. I usually like the older couples and I think M/G have gone futher in the race than other older couples in past races and that is admirable.

Ron & Kelly - I can't quite figure them out. I vary between liking them and disliking them. Kelly was a bit of a drama queen this week but at times Ron really is rude to her. At the beginning of the race I really wanted to like them especially since Ron was a POW but sometimes he makes it really hard.

Ray & Deana - I was SO glad to see them be eliminated last week. They were my least favorite team. Ray was a JERK to her but she wasn't exactly the nicest person either.

I was pleased to see Rob and Amber win this leg fair and square, with no controversy or drama.

Loved the episode last night, more for the laughs than anything... it did seem to be a tamer leg of the race.

When the boyfriends had the flat tire I said right away that that would be the chance the brothers would need to catch up, but then they got a replacement truck. IMO that wasn't fair.

I so wanted it to not be an elimination round... can you imagine the brothers next week racing in their get-up. That very well could have been the best episode of all AR history!!! :rotfl2:

As for Ron & Kelly, I cannot imagine they are still together after the race ended. I don't find him as much rude to her as I do indifferent to her, he just doesn't seem to care one way or another about her.

Merideth & Gretchen just keep plugging along, they are doing amazingly well for their all their mistakes added with their age.

Alex & Lynn, I could not figure out why they showed him adding on clothes in the backseat... then I realized why and thought it was a good idea (but where would they carry the clothes?) the best was when Lynn asked Alex to get his underwear for him. :rotfl:

Still not a huge fan of Amber & Rob, but do like to watch them race.

Uchenna & Joyce have moved up to being my favorites for 1st place now that the brothers have left, loved his comment when they were doing the balancing on the head task about Joyce following her man (or however he said it).

Looking forward to the re-cap show tonight, at least we will get to see the brothers on one more episode. Hoping for some more of their one-liners to be shown.

Doesn't seem rude at all to me....just stating my opinion. I guess I should have clarified - I felt that a lot of their comments were quite prejudicial -- something to the effect of "Oh, they were born to do that"....(obviously not the exact wording), when walking by Uchenna & Joyce doing the water balancing challenge. IMO, that was totally unnecessary. They had other little snipes throughout last night too. Again, JMO.

I was trying to give Lynn and Alex the benefit of the doubt last week, but that comment about Uchenna and Joyce last night was just way out of line. They are probably the most openly bigoted pair that has been on AR. Good riddance to them when they leave. Shoot, I'd rather see Romber win than those two jerks.

I'm soooooooooo sad the brothers are gone. I sincerely hope my boys can be that good of friends when they're adults. They were such a crack up!! "big money, no whammies...." :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I just thought you were insinuating that gay men can't change a tire.
and I thought that was rather 'prejudicial'

if I took it the wrong way...I apologize.
