Okay, obviously I have no idea what I'm doing. That message got posted before I had finished typing.

Anyway, I LOVE this site. We will be heading to the POP in 38 days :Pinkbounc

It will be our first "family" vacation. My dh and I have a 3-1/2 yr old DD and a 11 month old DS. DD is totally into the princesses right now princess: So our first full day we are having breakfast with Cinderella at CRT. It was great seeing the info on early bus transportation for PS before the park opens.

I am also excited about "requesting" a certain room. I have paid for the preferred buidling, so I would LOVE a room across from the pool. I also would like the 1st floor. Reading this site has given me the exact room numbers I would need to request.

Thanks again for all the wonderful info. I look forward to reading lots more as our trip gets closer.

TYLER - You have done a remarkable job! A HUGE thank you to you. :goodvibes

Mary

Mary, I'd love to hear from you after you get back since your kids are almost the exact ages of our 2 who we're taking in June! (DS 3 1/2, DD 13 mos then) Have a great trip!

We have preferred room booked, but keep seeing people say it's not necessary for location purposes. So now I am wondering which pool is better. The pin looks very similar to ASM's guitar pool which is very large. The hippy dippy looks small from the pictures. Can anyone tell me which pool they prefer? Thanks!

The Hippy Dippy pool is quite large, actually.

As for distances, it's all relative. Someone's "not far" is someone elses "huge great distance" Suffice to say, that it's never more than a few minute walk from any room to the bus stops and food court.

Tyler...I have some old paper tickets to Disney World from 1994 that still have one day left on them. I understand that they are still good, but must be exchanged for the new type tickets...can I exchange them at the resort when we get there?

Also, we are driving down from Michigan on 4/1/04..hoping to get to the Pop resort about 7 am on 4/2/04 and checking in for two nights... are we going to have any problem parking there and going to the Parks that morning being that early?

Thanks for all the help.

As for the tickets, they'll need to be exchanged at the parks themselves, I believe. I'm not sure the resorts can exchange them. Not 100% sure, though.

As for parking, you'll be fine.

Just to advise you, having a pool view room next to the Hippy Dippy pool may have more noise than one might like. The doors block most of it, but some might still be able to hear.

Tyler, i hope i'm not wrong here either but i had the same situation with old tickets in 2002 and was able to exchange them at CBR where we were staying then. It may have changed by now though.

Ah! Well then, that's a good sign. If you could exchange them then, chances are you still can. Good to know :)

Help...We want to send a package to ourselves at POP so that we don't have to pack a lot of diapers, snacks, etc. Can someone please tell me the address to ship to. Also, should I ship it UPS, Fed-ex????

How has PC handled grand gathering bookings? Have they been able to keep the GC rooms together?

I called CRO yesterday and was told that PC wouldn't get my reservation until the night before I check in. Is this true?

Need my timer to move faster!!!! Btw is there a bus to the transportation center from Pop and how long of a ride would you say it is?

Hey Tyler,

A few quick questions! We have a trip coming up in May staying at the Beach Club, but we have added a few days on to the beginning of our trip to experience Pop Century, mostly because you are so enthusiastic about it and make it sound so cool!!

A few quick questions -

Our plane gets in late and we won't arrive until around midnight. Will there be anybody to help us with bags to our room? If not, will a luggage cart at least be available?

Do you have a copy of the breakfast menu at the food court? We are trying to decide if we should plan to eat breakfast there or head out somewhere else. Deb Willis' "AllEars" site has menus for lunch and dinner, but not breakfast.

What is the best way to get from Pop to a 9:00 breakfast at Cape May?

We paid for the preferred room location. We're only there 2 nights, so it was only $20 bucks. Mostly, we're hoping for something close to the main building since we are arriving late and will have a baby and lots of luggage to drag around. Any suggestions for making a request?

I think that's about it! Thanks so much for being so helpful!!!

We just got back from 4 days at POP. We really enjoyed it. I wondered,,we usually stay at WL. While POP isn't WL,,its very nice. My kids (4 and 7)liked it and we had fun. So ask any questions! We were NOT able to turn in our vouchers at the hotel for tickets,,we had to go to guest services at a park to do that. We had requested the 50's bldg w/ connecting rooms(my brother and his son came in from CO). We got connecting rooms, but in the 80's bldg,,4 th floor. And that was just fine. I think i'd prefer the 4th floor, they have elevators, and only 1 time did i hear people tromping by our room at night. The pool was just fine. The walk to the busses was maybe 5 minutes,if that. not "long',in my book. We never had to wait for a bus. Often,dh was scrambling to fold up the stroller!! We rode the monorail once and got a bus from GF,and waited maybe 5 minutes,,thats the longest wait we had. We never waited at the park for a bus back to the hotel, either. We had 2 PS's,,1 at WCC at WL,and one at Chef Mickey's. We asked the driver if they could take us there,,for WL,the lady just looked at me w/a strange smile like i had asked her to do somthing really weird. But she did it,,yet acted like thats never happened. I asked about it when making my ressies,,asked tyler here,,asked about it at check in,,and asked at Guest services,,and got the same answer. so who knows,,but she did take us and was very nice about it. Got pizza at the food court,it was very good,,got the tyedie cheesecake,it was good, but creepy looking,,carrot cake was very good. Our a/c made noise the first night(i had a dream about a swarm of bees,,it was the a/c buzzing and making noise.)kept me up all night,,but the next a.m. phoned maintaince, and i guess they fixed it,cuz it was fine from there on out. The a/c cooled fine,,my brother kept his at 68 the whole time, and his room was freezing. We got n/s rooms, but his smelled like smoke for some reason. He wears one of those apnea machines,so he said it didn't bother him at night.lets see,,what else....ask any questions you may have. We had a great time,,my son wants to stay there again next time we go. Only drawback(if you could call it that)is that there is no slide at the pool. My kids loved riding on the busses, too.Everyone at POP is very friendly.

How are non-smoking rooms set up?
Do all the buildings have non-smoking rooms or are some building smoking & non-smoking???
Or is it just certain floors that are smoking/non-smoking?

Thanks!!!

Your reservations typically get downloaded into our systems approx 4-7 days out. From there, our Magical Gatherings CM takes care of things.

No. You need to go to the Magic Kingdom or Epcot and take the Monorail to the TTC. Or you can go to the Studios and take the TTC bus there. This is because there really isn't much of a reason to go to the TTC, aside from Lost & Found, the Kennel, and Richard Petty.
