So let's review the alcoholic choices at the Poly.

Lapu lapu-served in a pineapple, made with citrus and rum
Back scratcher-
Pina Colava-

Who can fill in the blanks and add others that I am missing. I have just 9 days to decide!

You can add the Pina Colada from the Tambu Lounge to your list!! DW and I have one ...make that two....or three...you get the picture...on just about every trip. they are the best we have ever had!! 7 days and counting till POLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!:banana::banana::banana:

All this talk of drinks reminds me that my BIL (who with luck will be with us next year for our Dec. trip) only wanted to know if there was a bar by the pool. I showed him the pictures of the Poly and said I was pretty sure there was a tiki bar next to the volcano pool.

Good Morning!!
I'm at day 37 and counting down. ME tags came yesterday.WooHoo!!!
And yes---my suitcases are out and some stuff thrown in. This got me to wondering---does the Poly have power strips/bar on the desk?
I will have several items needing charging each night and will bring my own strip if they don't have one --but if they do that will be one less thing to pack.
TIA for the info.

Yes, our room had a power strip.

Yes there is a power strip. It can charge 3 or 4 things. I remember it because ours didn't work and mantainance came the next day to replace it. It is on the desk/tv console. There are pugs by every table as well.

Hi all:), planning my trip to Polynesian next year and I was wondering what longhouses the MK view rooms are in and do they all have a balcony and also do all the Garden View Club level rooms have a balcony?

Thank you for your help.

Aliceacc and Tiggspring-Thanks for the replies- Now there will be more room in the suitcase for souvenirs.:yay:

1st floor rooms in any building - no balcony, although some (all?) have a patio

2nd floor rooms in Tokelau, Rapa Nui, and Tahiti buildings will have balconies. No other 2nd floor rooms will have a balcony.

Any 3rd floor room will have a balcony.

Thank you:)

I forgot about the ground floor being called a first floor, need to remember that one for when I am booking, I always forget and get confused. Last time at WDW I spent a good few minutes wondering where the 3rd floor was before realising. I felt rather dumb.

The Theme Park View rooms are in Tahiti, Aotearoa and Tuvalu.

As you've already learned, the 2nd and 3rd floor rooms in Tahiti have balconies, and only the 3rd floor rooms in Aotearoa and Tuvalu have balconies.

Thank you, so there is a chance if I booked a MK view I would not get a balcony.

What about Garden View Club level, do the 2nd and 3rd floor rooms in that longhouses have balconies? If I booked a GV club level room would I be guaranteed a balcony or patio?

2nd floor of the Hawaii building which would be GVCL will not have a balcony. 3rd floor has a balcony and 1st floor has a patio.

I have already booked GVCL for our Dec 2010. As of yet I have not requested a floor. It really doesn't matter to me which floor I get, I will be just so happy to be there.

Yes if you book a MK view you may not get a balcony. We stayed in Tuvalu last trip, MK view and were on the second floor and did not have a balcony. We really didn't miss having a balcony or patio.

Thank you for the reply, this is my first time staying at a deluxe and I really want a balcony.

Did I hear correctly that the Poly now has Wii (either poolside or in the Grand Ceremonial House)? I know that when we stayed at Universal last year, the Hard Rock had Guitar Hero poolside, so Wii could be a possibility. Can anyone confirm or deny?:confused3
Thanks!
