Did I hear correctly that the Poly now has Wii (either poolside or in the Grand Ceremonial House)? I know that when we stayed at Universal last year, the Hard Rock had Guitar Hero poolside, so Wii could be a possibility. Can anyone confirm or deny?:confused3
Thanks!

Confirmed - We just returned today and while we didn't do it, the weekly schedule has "Wii Cart" on Sunday, Thursday, and Friday for one hour (2-3pm Sun/Fri and 5-6pm Thur) at the Volcano Pool (I think it was over near the outdoor bar area)

Yes there is a power strip. It can charge 3 or 4 things. I remember it because ours didn't work and mantainance came the next day to replace it. It is on the desk/tv console. There are pugs by every table as well.

We had the same issue this past week. It worked for the first 3-4 days and then nothing. I think we used every available outlet in the room to charge 3 cell phones, 2 ipods, 2 Nintendo DS', and 1 computer!!

I have decided to book GV CL as I think I will be disappointed if I didn't get a balcony if I booked a MK view, I don't think I will mind as much with a GV,

Well our kids won't be in line - we're not going all the way to Disney and spending all that money so the kids can play with a Wii when they do that all the time at home.

I'm with you on that one! :thumbsup2

I don't think DD would actually want to play the Wii. She is a little fish and would swim all day if you let her. Not to mention she was too afraid to try the slide both of our trips and then FINALLY tried it on the last day of our last trip and loved it. She is really excited to go back and finally use the slide. Little stinker!

I third that. We spent a few hours today at the water park side of Hershey Park. Came home spent because it was so hot and all my girls want to do is go to a pool.

Ya, I'm pretty sure if given the choice of the pool or the Wii cart the girls would pick the pool (they too are little fish). Fortunately for them, mom and dad will be relieving them of the burden of having to make the decision! :rotfl:

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before but when we were at the Poly this past week (8-15th) there were Photopass photographers in the lobby area. When we arrived there was one outside the main entrance taking pictures and then on Friday there was one inside. We stopped and she took our photos sitting on the bench in front of the planters. I know I read you could book a special photo session at the resort - but this was just like any other photopass opportunity and did not cost extra! I can post the pic when I get my CD.

Would it be against some sort of code to bring a power strip to use? We will be five adults (all with cellphones) not to mention cameras, camcorder, rechargeable battery charger, laptop and Lord only knows what else. Don't want to blow a circuit or get in trouble....anyone know?

I always bring a power strip. Just make sure it's the good kind with that approval tag on it and the circuit breaker button. This way if it was to overload a circuit it would just shut off instead of actually tripping the circuit.

Congrats on keeping the trip a secret! I have 6 weeks to go before I leave with my kids and I'm wondering if I'll be able to keep it from them. My kids are much younger, but the only advice I have for staying at the Poly is to make sure you have some down time to enjoy the resort.

Hello everyone. I wanted to check in quick to let you know about our trip to the Poly. I don't have much time so I'll make it quick. I'll tell more later. :goodvibes

This place is the best. We loved every inch of the resort. We felt like the MK,AK,Epcot, and HS were perks for staying in this wonderful resort. The rooms were great, the pools were great, the food was great, the staff was great, and the people were great. Ohanas was amazing as always. I have a great story about Ohanas that I will tell at another time. All in all we loved it. Can you tell??? :goodvibes The only thing that we hated about the place is that we had to go home. Last night (in our own home) as my DD7 was getting her bath she started to cry. We asked her what was wrong and she said she just wanted one more swim and one more boat ride. It's so true. The boat was amazing. After a crazy day/night in the park, the boat would take all the stress away. Ok I need to go but I'll check in later and give you some more.:goodvibes

That reminds me of my DD, now 18. When she was just a bit older than that (8), she turned to me the day before we were to leave. She pleaded with me: "Please, Mommy, don't bring me to Disney anymore. It hurts too much to leave."

Of course, I didn't do as she asked, and she went the following year-2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006 (twice), 2007, 2008. Wow! She hasn't been for 1½ years! And now she is off to University.

Hi, I am booked for the Polynesian now, 15th August to the 22nd before we go on our cruise.
