I am not sure if this is the correct place for this question but I am sure someone here knows the answer. Any way, we are going to to be at the Poly in Oct. for the first time. We are also using ME for the first time as well. When I check our reservations the times of our flights to and from MCO say 12:00AM. The flight numbers are correct but the times are just wrong. Does anyone know if this is a big deal?

Here is the site that I checked my reservations on www.mydisneyreservation.com/guest . I got it from the Resturaunt board. I went through AAA for my reservations.

Thanks for the help.

Ours is the exact same (we're also booked for October, our flight numbers are correct, but the times say 12:00am). I was somewhat concerned at first, but I'm wondering if ME gets their flight info (arrival/departure times) directly from the airlines and maybe wait until closer to the actual trip to get the correct info (since flight times etc are always subject to change). Does someone know if this is correct?

Just thought of another question for thoses just getting back. Is Disney still allowing people to ride up front with the driver in the monorail?

I was not sure since the accident. I know how lawyers and insurance companies can be.

Thanks,

Hello everybody,

Well, we are back from our GREAT Poly vacation. We had 7 great days at Poly's CL -- Hawaii building. It was our 1st time in CL and it was great. We really enjoyed it. Unfortunately the first 2 days we were without the monorail.

The weather was crazy though. This was our 3rd time staying in July and it rained the most ever and I just dont mean the "usual" rain storm/thunderstorm. It did rain a lot more.

If anybody wants to see any pictures, let me know. Any questions, let me know???

Now time to plan our next vacation.......:cool1:

I agree with everyone else. We'd love to see your pictures.:surfweb:

Since your flight numbers are correct, I wouldn't worry about it. Perhaps the system doesn't enter times this far out since the airlines so frequently tweak them. When you get your documents from ME, I would just double check that the flights #s are still accurate. There's a number to call listed in the documents if you have questions or problems. Happy planning!

According to several other threads, no passengers are allowed up front any longer.

Bill, is that permanent or until the investigation is complete?

Such a tragedy.:sad1:

I suspect you're right. It will be a fond memory for many of us, at least.

Our flight for September trip keeps getting moved, not complaints from me because now we will be arriving earlier. Just keeping fingers crossed it doesn't shift back to later :)

I noticed the same thing and called Disney and they said the time dosn't matter.

Is anyone there now - or going soon? And willing to check out the gift shop? OR maybe remembers from being there before.....approx how much is it to get a Poly OR Disney coffee mug? I'd love to get a souvinere to remind me EACH morning of my Disney trip - so wondering approx how much to plan on for me and hubby to get mugs! (Or if they have Travel Mugs, that's cool too!)

We were there in May/June. Picked up a Polynesian travel mug for about $14 I think.

Thanks for posting your review and if you can post your pictures that would be great.

Welcome Back! We really enjoyed our stay in the Hawaii building (1st time) in April -- it's wonderful! Sorry to hear about the weather. We're going back soon (1st time in the summer) and the weather has been worrying me.

Were the parks really crowded?

Actually the first couple of days the parks weren't that bad for July. Towards the weekend (friday and saturday) it picked up and was getting crowded.

I was a little disappointed that the parks were closing so much earlier this year than last year for some reason. MK is closing this week at 10 p.m. some nights with NO Spectomagic parade at 11 p.m., it wasn't like that last year.

enjoy.

Everyone LOVES pictures. . .bring 'em on!

Glad you enjoyed your stay. It appears that since May, this year has been a wet one at Disney. How much rain did you experience? We usually go in June, but have been in July, and you expect those pop up showers. When we were there in May, we experienced torrential rains for days and days--totally unusual for May from what I hear. I would be interested in your experiences as a first timer to CL. :lovestruc

Yes, this is our 3rd time in Disney in July and we always had the 3:30-4 p.m. pop up shower for 10 minutes or longer. However, we had days of rain (heavy at times) all day. It was crazy. Then the "pop up" showers would happen around 5 p.m. (just in time for leaving for dinner..LOL). Two nights we decided to cancel reservations (HS and Epcot) and ate in the lounge instead of fighting the rain.

When I first booked CL I was wondering if it was going to be worth it....well, I definitely believe so. We used it for breakfast (bagel, muffin, juice and cereal or toast for the kids) before heading to the park. Then he used a CS for lunch usually in the park or back at the hotel. Then TS for dinner. We didn't use TS 2 nights for dinner so we use them for breakfast instead. It was well worth it. The kids liked the chips and salsa, pretzels and goldfish to snack on during the day. The Kona salad that was served for dinner at 5 was GREAT. The dessert were good too along with the punch...:)

My 6 year old ds enjoyed the chocolates at nighttime and we loved having fresh towels 2x3 times a day and clean room. I would never be able to pay full price for the CL but with a good discount, I would definitely do it.

This is interesting because we were there last week after the accident and I think it was either Friday or Saturday, they let a little boy and his father up front to ride.

Thanks for the update! I hope it wont be too crowded when we are there. The park hour cutbacks must be because of "the economy.":confused3

Ok friends....can you hear me screaming :headache:

So long story short...we had GVCL booked for Sept during free dining. DH and I decided to put off the vacation until Feb/March due to medical issues I have been having and the fact that we just had a whirwind trip in December and life has been hectic....I know, more reason to go on vacation, but you know how it is, a lot goes into planning a Disney vacation.

Today he basically says, rebook the Poly, just do GV (with free dining) to keep the costs down so we can go back again in 2010 and do our Club level stay. He needs a vacation and wants to go back sooner. Since we already have flights booked...blah, blah, blah...

Well hello! We will be eating at Captain Cooks every day because all the decent ADR's are gone and I have been trying all afternoon just to get ONE restaraunt that we like. He HATES ADR's, hence our reasoning for staying CL in the first place so he could care less that I can't find a decent ADR all week. He just assumes we will do walk ins. :lmao: :rotfl:

He needs to come back to stalking the DIS like he used to so he can get a clue :confused3

BTW, I found a great deal for GVCL in October which is way cheaper than GV w/ free dining but we would have to pay $300 to change our flights which we would have had to do anyway in March, but he is not interested. For someone who is so Disney ignorant...he certainly has a lot of demands.

I am sorry if I am rambling...he took DD to tennis lessons and I am beyond annoyed at my wonderful hubby and needed to vent. I am certainly not complaining that now I am going to back to Disney in....TWO months :scared1: Man, I better get crackin!
