I stayed at the CR this past july/august and loved it. I just heard about the 4/3 being offered again and I am thinking about using that to stay at CR again(thats actually how I stayed there the first time). But I have a couple questions. I have been considereing trying to stay club level. So I was wondering if you can use the 4/3 to book club level and if you can book club level over the internet or if you have to book it by phone(booking club level kinda confuses me)?

The original 4/3 deal was available to be booked via phone or the internet, so I would assume it will be like that again. Also and I am not sure if they are still doing this but with the original 4/3 deal when my family and took advantage of it you could not make a Club Level reservation for Atrium Club - Magic Kingdom View, so if you wanted to stay Club Level you would have to go with the Bay Lake View.

Thanks we are excited. Going to Epcot the first day then Magic Kingdom the next two days including Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween. I went to the Contemporary as a young boy and its one of my most cherished memories. I am so excited. I may even buy the Monorail playset for my desk... shhh don't tell anyone.

Ooh...I hope they extend the 4/3 deal through the year again. We're taking the whole extended clan to Disneyland in April, but the wife and I will likely end up back at the CR later in the year again. Thanks for the info!

If I could I would spend a whole day just riding the Monorail, I love the vision of early Disneyworld, it was so magical.

Maybe you ride the Resort Monorail around the whole area on a day when you don't have anything planned, because it's something I have done before.

I am hoping to get some info and guidence! I have bboked a room for 4 nights at the contemporary. We have never been to Disney Before so i am very excited. I Am wondering what type of room i should be asking for. i need 2 queen beds. I just dont want to spend too much money. I have a Garden View standard room booked.

Should i ask for specific floor?

Should i be in the tower?

If so what floor?

I dont want to pay to much more and i dont mind going up and down the elevator. But i do have a 4 year old and would like to be closer to the pool and monarail. Any ideas????

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

There are actually 2 nice walkways from Bay Lake Tower to the Contemporary's pool...one that starts from the ground level entrance to BLT and another from the back starting near BLT's own pool area. Check out some of the pictures on that CRResortFan4Life has posted in his nice BLT section at the bottom of the guides...tips...and FAQs on the first page of this thread.

Hi Nicole

I can give you some preliminary answers to some of your questions and point you in the right direction to start with, and CRResortFan4Life among others can fill in the blanks when they get a chance.

First of all, congratulations on your first Disney trip...that is FANTASTIC and you will have a great time!

The garden wing is a great value as far as the deluxe resorts go...puts you right in the middle of the best Disney magic for less than most other options. They are great rooms in a great location. The vast majority of the rooms have 2 queen beds, so that should not be an issue. You could make sure by asking the reservation CM to make sure, but I don't think it will be an issue. As far as which floor, the main difference is that first floor rooms share a patio and the other 2 floors don't have a patio. You will be closer to the pool area in the garden wing, so that is great, but you will be farther away from the monorail since it is inside the tower. I would suggest checking out the schematic that is posted in the FAQ section on the first page of this thread, and working with a reservation CM to try to get something as close to the tower and pool as possible. If money is a concern then please rest assured...the garden wing is a GREAT option.

When you book 2 queens, you will get 2 queens. At the CR, the only way you wouldn't get 2 queens is if you actually book a Garden Wing King Room.

Well you can't go wrong choosing between the Tower or Garden Wing, so it comes down to the cost and how much time you plan to spend inside the Tower going to the stores and maybe eating at the Contempo Cafe. Now if you choose the Tower the Bay Lake View is about $40.00 cheaper then the Magic Kingdom View and if you want to stay as high as possible, request a room on the 11th floor since it's the last standard floor. The 12th and 14th floors are the two Club Level floors that are in the Tower. Plus you would be an elevator ride away from going to the Monorail station and the same when walking through the lobby when walking towards the pool.

There are a few signs that you could follow when walking from Bay Lake Tower to the Contemporary, however I believe I saw some walkways that lead directly towards the Contemporary pool and marina.
